So thankful they nerfed Bubble, everyone was complaining about how broken it was in PvE
Bubble was too strong!!!!! It clearly wasn’t getting eclipsed by another super that did its job better or anything…
Yeah dude bubble had it coming. Couldn’t take that thing off in GMs and day 1 raids
😂😂😂
I hope these comments are trolling lol
It's not like void titan has any insane exotic options after HoIL was nerfed, swapping to helm of saint 14 is not a big deal. Plus you now get a void overshield from just being near the bubble.
Also this will actually make banner shield useful again
“Due to Solar Warlock over preforming we have decided to to nerf Titan void bubble”
Hate Bungie so much right now
Classic
@@Guile_The_Exiledude bubble is just fine in pve, it just needs to be nerfed in pvp. Also some the other stasis fragments and aspects could use buffs and reworks so hopefully we’ll get more of that down the road
@@1chill_623There was no reason to use bubble in pve when well exist, I would not call that "fine"
Bubble remains outclassed by well in PvE so long as you can’t shoot out of it. On this sole reason alone well will remain infinitely better in a team setting, no matter how hard they nerf it.
I reckon’d bungie would have taken the hint looking at sentinel % compared to dawnblade in raid team comp after 7 fucking years. Ah well
I love how having a specific aspect equipped for hammer of sol punishes hammer of sol
And the aspect of that subclass it was most well known for, even before D2 iirc
Ward of dawn: dead and has been for a long time
Bungie: Someone grab me my bat.
If you're going to nerf the primary means of succeeding in dps checks, you need to create boss encounters that don't require your team to stand in one place to dps while the boss beams you down.
Foreal
Exactly. Riven is close to this, in a way. Rhulk is less close to this idea but is a step in the right direction.
I'd like to see something like the whole team runs mechanics, but one player deals damage for a set time, then passes the damage to another player, then another. It could be made to be more complicated than that, of course.
Like, the team chooses who gets damage next, and perhaps part of the team is preventing wipe mechanics while the other part is doing something to make the boss slightly weaker towards a particular element, chosen by the team depending on what the next dps person was running, but throughout the whole fight, damage is being dealt, and it's fast and chaotic. Maybe after the whole team has had a turn there could be a wipe mechanic you all avoid together, like Khalli had, or Shuro Chi's mini puzzles to progress. They generally do a great job with encounter mechanics, but then the boss is, "uhhh stand in the middle and shoot".
Why can't you have 3 people running around quickly and accurately doing something to give 3 players immunity while they damage, then you swap roles 30 seconds into dps or something? The boss attacks the mechanics people so your team doesn't have to rely on well/bubble just to simply survive.
This is the issue.bht bungie lacks the resources or talent to do so.
@@callsignjoker1 lmaoo that is so weird because I was having a very similar convo with someone else 2 months back in youtube comments and we have very similar ideas with raids. I said this:
“When it comes to designing a raid, you can literally do anything. Let's say in the boss fight, everyone starts in a room similar to the dome in Oryx. Then one person gets teleported out into a separate room with just the boss, they are drained of all their light. So it's all weapon damage. The boss doesn't have to attack you, but if you don't do enough damage in 15 seconds let's say, you die. Then the next person gets teleported. And so on.
Meanwhile the other 5 people not doing damage are the ones doing a mechanic to stop a team wipe. That way every member of the fireteam HAS to do something and can't just as clear.”
Which is so similar to what you are saying. Bungie need to listen to us man😂
$5 that LFG groups are still going to ask Warlocks to Well.
u do still get the damage buff which can help
People are still going to want a damage buff for certain bosses, yes.
I think there is just going to be one warlock running assembler boots and resto x2 grenade, acro dodge hunter as well and therefore you literally just get the effects of well and you can strafe and jump around to different locations.
@@noahjones6616 or you could get the same effect from a single person
@@Gleams02 true forgot about the melee ability radiant fragment
So now that Well’s survivability has been nerfed, you’re gonna go back and change all the encounters you designed around it. Right, Bungie?
RIGHT, BUNGIE???
Ngl that we’ll change is such a bad move. Gonna make the old raids so much harder
@@adamboy0559 they was way to easy anyway. Raids are so damn boring now. Thw mechanics already brain dead asf at least maybe there is a chance of dying to somethin else beside wipe mechanics.
Not every one is a giga chad sweat and just want to be casual @@jaketheman1577
Or you can just adapt
Cry Abtout It or shut Up and adapt. Well Meta was boring As hell think about new ideas@@adamboy0559
So technically, we are back to the well and bubble strat since it’ll add an over shield when near it and you can have restoration when in well
Yup. That strategy was a norm years ago. I think it disappeared largely after well of radiance got buffed in the past. If I’m not mistaken.
Based
I would rather delete all of my warlock exotics than to be pigeon holed into WoR for another year.
@@empyrean196I believe it’s actually cause bubble was nerfed a long time ago, before it gave a larger damage buff than well and they eventually made it the same as well and it was never used again lmao
Could just run the titan glaive for the mini bubble that has the old health values from the og bubble
The funny thing about the Well nerf is that to an extent, a lot of the game has encounters built around standing in a Well and doing damage. RIP to Bubble though, they destroyed you for no reason
They destroyed it because of pvp what are you talking about
Yeah i hope the final shape raid is built different.
@@TheMax107why do it in pve though? bungie has showed they can make seperate changes between the two
@@TheMax107literally, tired of bubble in trials,
@@TheMax107they can nerf it specifically in pvp.
THANK GOD they buffed pocket singularity! I can finally kill a red bar in medium level content 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Unfortunately it's still going to fall behind child of the old gods in any content with actual difficulty
Don't forget they'll move back slightly!
@@benjaminprince8654pocket singularity is the melee ability 😂 …
@@Mahmoud-ben-Choucroute That might have been the joke lol. Child is a package deal (aspect) with your class ability, which is crazy to think about said ability outclassing a core subclass ability. I find bleak watcher an exception to this surprising idea because of its oppressive utility, plus it also consumes your grenade charge to do so. Weird how child can be better than a charged melee...
So we're moving from always wanting a well to always wanting a well plus a bubble, brilliant, outstanding.
exactly, was to expect. Nerfing well would always go together with others being more limited, and have to go more for team survivability. Well made sure, everyone else could run what they wanted.
So now its not only warlock being locked to a single loadout.
@@xbavoxmaybe instead of crutching well and bubble you try some different tactics for a change. Run banner shield. It will protect and give you a higher damage buff than well or bubble
@@jassom1270banner shield sacrifices a whole team mates DPS as well as it being able to be destroyed by most bosses by draining its energy. It’s also just not fun to lock ppl into load outs
@@cozzi6854 I’m not saying you have to use it. I’m saying it’s an alternative option. And yeah while it may take away one persons damage but 5 people having 40% more damage from that buff alone outweighs that.
I don’t feel like doing it myself right now, but there’s videos on it and you can always do it yourself if you don’t believe me.
If you factor everything together, the extra 15% you get from banner makes up for missing one person on dps. But I will agree that what you said about it draining quickly still stands.
There’s not a single raid encounter that you NEED a well, bubble, or banner in order to complete. It just makes things easier.
@@jassom1270 bungie has designed dungeons and raids, and even some nightfalls, to revolve around standing still and doing damage on a plate, IE planets, caretaker, ogre on warlords. All bungie wants is to create artificial “challenge” by making abilities worse and locking people into restrictive loadouts (mods and champ system seasonally), so it requires a constant grind of new items and exotics. So yes, you need well for 90% of the content in the game. Now, you need bubble or banner shield so -1 pyrogale or crash too. Nothing changed it just got worse
so its going to be bubble titan in the back, warlock well in front then duskfield hunter inside for frost armor. cause even if everything changes, as long as endgame activities boils down to stand in specific spot then damage itll just be well with extra steps.
And know dps phases will take 5x as long as
Bungie’s solution to Ward of Dawn being useless in PvE was to make it worse. Oh well, maybe Banner Shield will have a place in the sandbox now.
r u stupid or dumb?
Twilight arsenal it is
No, void just has no use in the sandbox for titans now.
If youre a titan youre on solar or strand and that's how it will always be forever.
Yeah no. It’s never worth having a guy stand there and do no dps of his own when he could be. Even in raid environments it’s pretty much impossible to make up for a 6th of your dps unless that guy is just so bad that’s all he’s good for.
@@chandothemando Sadly this is true. I feel like on Hunter I have so many options for endgame content, but on Titan, it's Strand, Solar, or you're throwing.
Void titan will now be considered an endangered species.
They literally don’t play void titan at all 😂🤣
I would love too but it’s literally useless EVERYWHERE..
why void when we have strand/solar..
Loreleis/matchbook this season has been meta af..
I wanna use bubble in onslaught and I literally can’t
It already basically was let's be honest
Also we are getting twilight arsenal so I think void titan will actually be better in tfs! Plus shield throw buffs
@@splatsproing7412
I wanna BUBBLE and SHIELD BASH
The axes are cool tho i completely forgot
Y’all act like those new supers ain’t coming out
The well of radiance is getting nerfed to hell that 8 second buff isn’t worth losing the defensive ability. They need to make it buff our damage more with radiance to even out the loss of defense.
They have effectively brought back the D1 strat of putting your bubble directly behind your fireteam ducking in and out to have the defensive capabilities. and with Well you will add the offensive side. meaning they will work together. I dont think they are changing the stacking of damage if the bubble is using Helm to grant Weapons of Light.
Yeah, more or less. You can even get a shield by standing outside of the bubble. They're literally showing us it's use but people are just bitching. XD
Tbh u can get a solar build to basically apply the permanent radiant dmg buff without well. They torched well into obscurity just like they did dawnblade
It's a super, not a healing grenade. It should definitely be even a little over the amount that x2 restoration gives you.
That plus the PVE bubble change and banner of war are a huge kick
If you gonna lower health recovery increase my damage to compensate if you want me to stand and tank it before running or anything like it. Lemme do more damage before I have too.
@@Vozzie377 Exactly. Oh boy, 8 seconds of radiant when you leave the well. Or just use ember of torches on any solar build and give the entire team radiant forever. What a joke.
@@BillThePillCosbyThe problem is well has been good for so long that it's a crutch for people and it's too good of a super. It needed some sort of nerf.
They either were going to nerf its damage or they were going to Nerf it's damage reduction and it looks like they went with the latter.
@@ThePackman627 Is it a crutch that you dont need when every boss breaks your legs in a quarter second? The problem is that bosses have been built around well for years, without a complete damage reduction of enemies across the board, it is worthless now. 8 seconds of radiant is nothing. And this isn't going to make other supers a contender, now you just need 2 people running a specific super (well and ward) to do the encounters built around well in its prime.
How the fuck is the stasis section not gonna mention Icefall Mantle. That's my default exotic when not going for a specific build. It is still gonna grant overshield? Will is instantly max out Frost Armor? Will my dad ever come back from getting milk? I NEED TO KNOW!
frost armor combined with icefall seems juicy. we're getting an exotic post soon so hopefully they might cover it then
They have an exotic armor preview tomorrow on top of a TWAB. You’ll get your answer then
I made my own icefall yesterday and now my group uses it. I always get over shield and cause chaos and diamond lances all over with the slammer. Easy unstop and overload stuns using that sword and teselation for demo and mild dps with the x4 surge. Very fun build and pretty good at tanking when you add up all DR to find your true DR. Gonna need to update it a lot in final shape. Glad other people see its use too. Hope Greppo doesn't complain about that next after having frost armor. Then they'll take that away too
Whisper of Reversal might be good for you then. You might instafreeze someone if they melee you while you have Frost Armor and are proccing the overshield.
The exotic armour balance preview is tomorrow.
Only thing about the titan nerf that I don't like is yet another nerf to Synthoceps, and this time even Wormgods. Wormgods is already only OP if you're just perfectly keeping the gameplay loop going all the time with perfect conditions and a onetwo punch sg, which most people are not, which is why everyone uses Synthoceps. But even Synthoceps isn't op, because you have to be surrounded and that's only really viable on strand titan, which you just nerfed and that's not even considering the fact that synthoceps are meant to be used with any subclass.
bro the devs litterly just dont want titan mains around they all play hunter so should we, when i read the 3 past patch notes its becoming more and more clear the devs dont know how to play their own game and anyone who does has to suffer for it
@@tibervandessel814 delusional oblivious take they just dont want people able to solo raid bosses with unlimited melee damage and healing LMAO
Yea, I think it is a tad hasty to tailor large nerfs to (let's be honest) the top .00001 percent of the player base that is leveraging the gameplay loop. The nerf to grapple to make it not get refunded killed the loop, so why nerf the exotics? BoW needed a little nerf, so that is fine to lower the uptime, but I think they swung the nerf hammer a little hard on this one.
@@logankistler8706 this reaction shows me u dont realise the amount of skill it takes to do that
I was thinking the same thing, why not adjust BoW melee damage multiplier instead of indirectly hurting other subclasses (as well as Warlocks and Hunters who wanted to use spirit of synthos) by nerfing the entire exotic
New Fear unlocked dying in my well to a boss.
So now we just go back to Bubble + Well for effective DR and buffs. Bubble in back well in front. And gaining Overshield standing near the Bubble will be the DPS meta to survive in soft endgame raid teams
Renewal Hunters may get mixed in with well, being able to generate Frost Armor to allies.
Running The Stag might be the go to, the DR will stack with Well so you'll end up with 35% DR plus the overshield from the healing rift

So basically Warlock nothing has changed but now Titans have to run bubble slightly behind the Well. Excellent work, Bungie. Now that's two classes not running prismatic in endgame, lmao. Someone inform Skeletor.
Why would you need a bubble behind the well?
For the damage resist. Now you use the well for dps, but use the bubble for survivability.

That would be fine on long damage phases but to sacrifice two damage supers will definitely hurt tremendously 😊
Does April Fools happen twice a year now?
No, but Bungie are taking us for fools every day of the year.
Glad I haven't bought final shape yet
My Osmiomancy builds already feel good. Doubling the damage and increasing the amount of seekers I can make is gonna be crazy. Im pretty sure iceflare bolts count to Osmiomancies grenade energy regen too.
They gonna nerf titans again after they realize you warlocks are doing too good
I'm actually glad for the well nerf. It's annoying to be forced to play support alot of the time. I ran solo Gm's DPSing as a warlock with either strand or void. Granted, strand does yield one of the best for warlock, but weakening grenades with devour is my jam. Screw getting kicked out of lfg's for wanting to be a dps warlock. I hope this change breaks the narrative.
It won't.
Bungie’s dev team was higher than the Apollo 13 mission the way they nerfed Ward of Dawn which wasn’t a problem 😭
Huge problem in pvp though
@@karma5140 it’s still gonna be annoying as hell in PvP and they literally just made well better so that’s probably just gonna replace it and be even more annoying. Especially with the radiant buff.

@dusk2308 with whisper of rime at 8 stacks it gives 36% damage resist but only 22.5 (23%) at 5 stacks without rime
Damage resit x4 is 50% damage resit I think? So the build is getting a nerf maybe?
But the new frost armour may have more buildcrafting potential than just 4x damage resist.

You may be stuck on well but your gonna get so many best dressed awards
So pop well, and a bubble halfway behind well. Still get well benefits and close proximity will help trickle an over shield to you.
Bro, you are forgetting that, now instead of one of us doing less dps ( wellocks), now it will be two of us doing less dps in raids or anything that is hard.
I am absolutely bewildered how Bungie is too incompetent to make Behemoth into a functional subclass...
We don't need "several quality-of-life improvements", we need a complete rework of the aspects, as no matter which pair of aspects you pick, there will never be a complete gameplay loop.
I love how in a dlc where we have litterally never been closer to the source of our light, ie, we are litterally inside the traveller, our light powers are being made absolutely redundant and powerless
The traveler has been shafted, and Bungo is shafting light powers to be realistic.

The application of weaken to glaive melees via Stylish executioner is insane. Its such a simply change yet I think will be huge. Just wait, glaives are about to be meta on Hunter. Just thinking of Vexcalibur applying weaken and activating all 3 void buffs with one kill is insane. Not too mention how good this is on Prismatic. Many people saying the warlock is free for well now, i think now is more mandatory, one warlock with well, one hunter with duskfield and a titan with banner shield. kkkkk
Then again a warlock with a the stag exotic and a healing rift is almost equal to the survivability from well, so that warlock would probably be better off on a damage or ad clear subclass. The best thing is there are more options now. Instead of it just being well and literally nothing competing you can have a warlock on a stag rift with a banner shield Titan, or a stag warlock with a helm of Saint bubble behind for overshield and damage, or a normal rift with a renewal grasp hunter for survivability and literally any way to get radiant for damage. There's now a lot more viable options to match the meta that aren't any harder to use or take advantage of for dps phases. Well in non raid or dungeon settings will still be alright as in things like high level nightfalls you typically don't use it for specifically survivability, it's usually just an instant damage buff and a bit of a safety cushion to burst down priority targets, which it'll still be good for. Bubble will largely replace the situations where you just need something to stay alive, like the elevator section of the corrupted gm or whatever
@@voidyll5582 For dungeons is a good option, but in Master, raids and 6 man activities, i think which will be very complicated, In gran master already happens to die inside the well depending on the number of enemies shooting and damage taken and back shoot GL and RL, the rift is too small for 6 players. At least one Hunter stasis and a Warlock with well is the way. Titan banner shield with Ursa or Precious Scars too. But we'll have to wait and see how it goes...
So you unskilled?
lol, all this did was lock us into well AND the stag, lock hunter into duskfield, and lock Titan into an even worse bubble. It’s going to be the same problem with lots of extra steps and more people locked into the same boring loop. It changes almost nothing.
@@nicholascazmay2126 exactly this. We went from having one mandatory class spec, to almost all three. GG Bungie, sure feels like I can play around with builds /s
Hardly played D2 pass vanilla, and really got an itch to come back recently. I’m hilariously behind but it sounds like Saint 14 Plus bubble will be sought in groups? How I played almost all D1 lmao.
Stylish executioner being activated by Glaives is amazing. This is the almost the same ability we had at the launch of Witch Queen where Glaives activated suppression which in turn activated invisibility. So in theory with every glaive kill on void a Hunter will become invisible like in Witch Queen's launch.
Think back to every moment you have actually heard the words out of someone mouth "can you run well" or "we need a well". Think of those haunting and iconic moments. Now tell me how many times were because of the benefit to survivability vs because you were doing a DPS phase and wanted the benefit of extra damage. It's probably that in 80-90% of the scenarios players were clamoring for it due to the damage increase, with 20-10% being due to the survivability. Now look at which one of those benefits Bungie just buffed (it's the damage increase) and tell me they didn't make the problem of Well's staple overuse worse lol.
Bungie identified the crime of overuse and shot the wrong suspect. This is coming from someone who is perfectly happy with the nerf to Well's survivability considering how many countless options for survivability there are in the game that don't require you to stand still like a sitting duck (DPS phases built around Well are gonna suck now though lol).
My idea would have been to remove Well's buff to damage (or just lower it), lower the restoration rate to that of Restoration x2, increase the casting HP gain to 300 like they did, leave the damage reduction alone and be done with it. Only problem is Radiance is in the super's name and not increasing damage would trigger my OCD.
Genuinely agree, removing the extra damage and health restoration to x2 would have been a good change. Focus more on the defense rather than offense but they did the opposite
Is going to be interesting watching people find new strategies with encounters clearly made around fireteams grouping inside a well, they just want the final raid to be a challenge.
Nah, it'll just change to having a bubble slightly behind the well to benefit from the overshield and make up for the lower healing.
Either that, or have a warlock with The Stag to give extra DR with a rift.

I'm fine with the changes to well, but they could increase the radius a little to give a little more room to be evasive alongside the nerf to survivability. When does this come out or is it already out? Haven’t played for a month or two
Just so everybody is aware Bungie made it so that in order to function in endgame content you will now need both a well and a bubble and we know they did it on purpose because they got rid of Wells damage resistance and got rid of bubbles damage increase making it necessary to pair both of them together in order to have effective damage resistance and healing during an end game boss fight. I mean come on guys they literally called the section for both of them well of radiance and Ward of Dawn they want you to use both together so sorry Titans sorry warlocks who are always forced to run well. Bungie literally took the offensiveness of the bubble and put it in the well of radiance and then they took the defensiveness of the well of radiance and put it into the bubble
Not if Bungie makes a void well of weakening 😂😂 but upside is at least warlocks aren't the only ones running a subclass they don't want to use.
They didn't take away the bubbles offensive damage increase, they just changed it so you have to run Helm of Saint-14 in order to have it back.
I did rhulk -20 pantheon without a well, while the welllocks got their teeth kicked in repeatedly. I never lost to them in dps once and hardly ever died in damage phase. Run resists, stop to apply restoration, well is a crutch.
@andresnymayounshouldnwrite more fairytales n580
Nah, WellLock just needs to equip point of the stag, then pop a healing rift in the well, bam old well is back.
I’m surprised about bubble titan. I play destiny a lot and I honestly rarely ever see anyone use bubble titan in pve
It’ll be a nice change to see Bubble Titans i know its shit for Warlocks and Titans but could work out for more dynamic play who knows
@CGormanR35 nah this really is just a hard nerf to void titan builds. Unless twilight arsenal is really good (which I know it won't be) the super options completely suck now you have a bubble that demands an exotic just to be usable or a stand there and block afk shield lol
The reason why you don't see it is because bubble got nerfed a couple of years ago to give the same damage buff as the well does. Well also having healing, damage resist and a non enclosed space made bubble obsolete. Now it is reversed where bubble will give you the defense and well will give you the damage.
This adjustment of the bubble will put the bubble in an even more painful situation. I think that the Super Skill is an ability that is expected to influence the battle situation by activating it, but basically ‘defence’ alone is not enough to make a positive change. It would have to have some other effect to help the counter-attack or it would not be used.
It's bc bubble got nerded hard yrs ago. Ppl used to force titans to use bubble all the time and it's seems is might be a thing again. Maybe
I wish the golden gun Deadshot Super didn’t feel like a half baked super because it feels like it’s missing some of its abilities considering the fact it takes a fragment just to get the other part of it working instead of radiance, allowing it to trigger the other part of the super. Finally, we’re getting stylus executioner to work with glaive melee, I’ve been waiting for that since witch queen. It’s about time they finally did that😆
I do wonder if the bubble changes will affect the glaive bubble? At the very least, helm may now grant weapons of light when passing through the jello ball
I wonder what Skeletor has to say about this to beastman 👀
"Quick! Buff the new shit, even the stuff we've ignored for YEARS! Nerf anything else that's popular!"

@@stranger242 Titans were allowed in raids while bringing nothing, idk why should we swap classes
No longer a slave. Bungie finally freed you from LFG groups.
Gonna do great with that extra 2% damage buff
Idea. You know that one titan exotic that allows you to shoot through baricades?
What if that applied to bubble as well?
But, the bubble takes damage = to that of .5% or .25% of the damage the weapon would do.
Maybe a trade off for the ability to fire through it could be reduced damage reduction and enemies with piercing rounds can pierce the bubble?
Maybe in pve the bubble could slowly regen its HP? Ooh! Or or, what if the bubble had some kind of offensive capability? Like when it wears off or is destroyed it "pops" or something?
Maybe it gives off a burst of void energy in the direction it took the most damage from?
As for well of radiance, what if we rework it entirely?
What if the sword gave players radiant souls? Powerful buddies that fire off a delayed "echo" of a % of the damage you deal and take?
Maybe they give a small % of damage reduction and or restoration? Maybe they could prevent death once, and put you at 50% hp/shield?
What if these souls changed based on whether you were in the well or not?
Like whilst your in the well they are mostly or all offensive based.
But when you leave the well they shift to defensive and healing based?
What if well of radiance itself did damage? Like full on a monolith of light jutting outwards from the blade. A sphere of golden energy at its peak, it could attack enemies within its sight.
Applying radiant burning stacks to a foe depending on distance from the well, when radiant burning reaches 100 stacks it could cause a divine ignition.
This would be stronger than a normal ignite of course, and it could heal allies in the well?
Maybe allies within the well gain radiant rounds, allowing their weapons to apply radiant burning to enemies based on the weapon and damage dealt?
Radiant burning and divine ignition are separate from the regular verbs so that you could build both regular burning and radiant burning at the same time!
Maybe effectiveness is based on how close you are to the sword? Maybe the health of the sword affects its potency too?
Make the sword more fragile in pve so that you have to be strategic in its placement, but greatly increase the radius of the well, with clear indicators of the potency of the well effects.
I dunno man, I'm not a game designer! But I don't think they're solving the issue here! Just creating more!
Isn’t the well and ward changes just gonna devolve into titans being hard locked into using saint helm and bubble? Why use well when a titan can just give the same buff but with overshield?

I‘m not a Titan and especially not a void Titan main but these changes to bubble doesn’t seem to look bad, Void Overshield and damage resistance while in a bubble and a Void Overschield if you are next to a bubble (finally) is kinda nice the only downside is that you have to use Saint 14s head for the Dmg bonus but my Void Titan Bubble user were already using it, well is getting a hard nerf to it’s survivalbility but combined with Void Bubble (close behind well), it still could be good, I also rly like the buff to Hunter overall (Solar, Void, Arc, Stasis)
Honestly kinda crazy that they didn't address the massive unlisted nerf to contraverse holds for warlocks in the void section. Like, aside from the well nerf, warlocks practically didn't get changes at all in the "largest balance patch" Bungie has released yet
Where was it said that Contraverse was nerfed...?
@@gentle_singularity Bungie never said it. It's something you can see in game if you compare it to old footage where you get roughly 50% of the effect that you were able to attain prior to Season of the wish, which would seem to be unintentional given that it should have never been affected by the ability refund changes based on how it returns you grenade energy by just massively decreasing the cooldown for a small period of time (in essence the same principle of how Sunbracers give us "infinite" grenades)
I think the reason damage resist wasn’t touched in pvp was because the healing per second was gutted in half. You can 100% kill someone with restoration x2, but current well is near impossible to kill through aside from a one shot. My current multimach roll with under over and kinetic tremors is almost able to 1 mag a well in its current state. Now? This thing is about to get a whole lot better at shredding players inside

Yeah these changes are pretty ass tbh. Not a single one I'm excited about. Some of the buffs to stasis are good but.. stasis.
The strand titan and grapple nerfs are vile. Can't remember the last time I've been this disappointed in a game.
Why they can't bring the other subclasses up to strand titan/solar warlock level is beyond me. Plus it's not like people are playing strand titan in 6 man raids, it's just to cheese it solo, and even then it's not like it's guaranteed.
Since coming back at the end of season of the witch I've had more fun than ever in destiny. Ine two punch strand titan is literally the most fun I've ever had in a game. Legitimately kinda killed my drive to play knowing these changes are coming.
@@beeman4266There's still other options for close gameplay, but that goes to arc hunters. The combination they get with their exotics, aspects and fragments means they will be able to slow enemies, become invisible with combination blow from spirit of assassin's cowl while also having the damage boost from spirit of synthoceps or liars handshake. So hunters are pretty much getting the best of everything on prismatic, being invisible all the time while dealing tremendous melee damage, and having a good super to use with any heavy weapon of choice to destroy bosses.
Yup, I can already see it now
The meta will be freezing or lifting enemies and taking pot shots at them from a distance, and of course Bungie will then rely on sending tanky enemies charging at us with no flinch, and the new flying enemies. The nerf to all our protective abilities will be their way of making challenging engagements, then they'll slowly give us these capabilities back over the course of the entire season.
I do wonder if new synergy options are there to compensate for the well nerf by just splitting up the roles of survivability and damage boosting
You know what's REALLY frustrating about consecration slam? On controller for some unknown pointless reason, when casting the 2 part ability the look sensitivity for no reason at all gets locked to like, 10. So there's no spinning in the air to hit a target behind you just before you slam with it. And the same is true for some other abilities on other classes.
The Hunter's basic class dodge ability works like this. The Arc Warlock lightning beam super does this too. I could have my look sensitivity set to max (20) and when I cast the super, my look sensitivity gets reduced to I think 10. Same thing for Stasis Hunter's super, Blade Barrage, they all have halved look sensitivity and it's a big problem that mouse input doesn't have for some reason.
I think this is because when Bungie updated the controller look sensitivity settings when the next gen consoles came out, they raised the controller look sensitivity cap from 10 to 20, doubling it. My guess is they just forgot about these other things where look sensitivity is very important. I pointed this out the same week the controller sensitivity changes came out and 4 years later in 2024 these things still haven't been updated to match the next gen console update that Destiny 2 got. So it doesn't much matter if these abilities get buffs, they just suck because they're still using the Xbox One/PS4 era look sensitivity values. I mean they made the changes to look sensitivity, but did they even bother using the new settings to see if there were any problems? I've watched Bungie devs playing on controller in live streams, they're using something barely above the default look sensitivity on controller. So no wonder it's been this way for 4 years.
I started reading it but I figured I would wait for you to do it for me.

I find it funny how bungie had to clarify for nova bomb " we wanted to increase its damage without the use of a exotic. So we gave it two more orbs."
Are you serious? Titans fallen sunstar, the pyro gauntlets. Hunters super exotic changes and star eater scales are all fine and had no reason to doubt. But having warlocks IP nova bomb have a damage increase via through exotic is too much apparently. Nova bomb rn does like 290k or close to it dmg. Adding 2 orbs will most likely increase it to what 300k or 310k. At least rework or update Skull.
And like I personally stated, I will probably be using stasis, even though they didn't give us a shatter ability. (Besides obvious prismatic) .
Besides WoR, no solar change. Arc only change is increasing the cone of the range melee and doubling the second jolt of the upclose melee. Not going to change much on strand warlocks unless it's like a continuous threadling perch spawner. And void sounds promising, but buffing the ranged melee should have happened a long time ago. Currently, it can't even kill an orange bar acolyte.
The two orbs will actually increase damage by ~ 22% so 290k to ~350k
Better than it sounds and doesn’t make us reliant on a different exotic for the damage boost- but remember, the exotic class item will have star eater scales, so we get both a baseline better nova + it gets boosted by star eater. Completely removing a 25% damage buff is a hard nerf, it used to be 35% at one point and when that got nerfed down to 25%, bubble was rendered almost irrelevant in endgame PVE because well was just better. The reworks with the Void Overshield stuff are cool but I think this has just made banner shield the default choice in endgame for void titan now because that will give the team cover briefly AND a 40% damage buff.
