It's only to bosses and it sounds like they have future plans for kinetics at some later time. It's a pretty small nerf and most people would never notice.
true, it's double edged sword of a change I mean it ofc good for strand and stasis thingies but it's also bad for some other options that were kinetic like warden's law and malfeasance is getting this -15% debuff(so it's also kinda lucky pants nerf), mountain top, Imperial decree with trench barrel, succession and kinda arbalest as backup damage option in GoTD and also touch of malice
I quit playing when they nerfed the bolt action, I played solo 9’s mostly and it totally screwed me. Came back to Destiny after 2 years, just wish I had some people to play with, Helldivers is fun solo, Destiny not so much.
All of the nerfs felt extremely unnecessary. Osteo is basically dead now and Lament's healing factor never felt that strong to begin with. I'm not entirely sure what the sandbox team at Bungie are smoking. "Adaptive Burst Linear Fusions are strong", sure Bungie.
Linear Fusions not named Sleeper are garbage. The nerf that hit after season of the Hunt and again when Stormchaser was released and then again after Veist Stinger perk made them the least useful heavy weapon. They are now situational and GLs/Rockets have been the go-to for the last 7-8 seasons
Why tho? It's so pathetic in its current state that even if all they did was give it a mild damage buff it still wouldn't be a great dps option. I don't think they're afraid of it; I think they just keep forgetting it's there
bungie does the same thing every time they introduce something that's actually fun/useful. nerf it into the ground once players find a way to optimize it. they put 0 thought into anything they add to the game which is why most exotics suck and don't see use when they were once pretty good.

@Slattimir I use it on Legenday Dares of Eternity sometimes, because of the heavy ammo on rounds 2 and 3. But even there is doesn't really feel all that good. Not sure what the gun is supposed to be used for.
This week in onslaught its nasty on bosses due to the surge. And its a guaranteed stun on unstoppable champions. And being able to draw a line on the floor for a group of trash mobs causing ignitions and destruction on them is very satisfying. Until the blueberry jumps on front of you. Im not saying omg its meta. But its nice to use something different for once
They buffed damage against red bars like we dont already have 90 thousand ways of nuking them instantly LMAO. Not touching orange bars was classic bungie balancing

@@nashkadse no, it's just by looking at the numbers since all exotic primaries currently do that 40% extra damage to red bars but in the final shape they will do only 30% more but All fusion rifles are going to get a 7% buff which includes Vex so 30% + 7% = 37% instead of the current 40% But I also could be wrong and they could do the 30% and the 7% multiplied (1.3 x 1.07 = 1.391) but yeah thanks for coming to my nerdy ass Ted talk lol
Truth has one of two paths: 1. The Mega Generic Exotic. Basically, max stats. High stability, handling, reload speed, 3 in the mag, and auto-reload on catalyst. 2. Lean into D1 Truth. Mega aggressive D1 tracking, huge proximity detection and giant blast radius to catch targets you didn't directly hit.
I hope they increase the damage output to match with the enemy toughness. When Lightfall dropped, they definitely made the enemies tougher. It made for frustrating gameplay.
Bungie: "we want to reduce ability spam and increase gun usage" Also Bungie: *implements enemies that tank entire magazines and require ability spam to effectively kill* I don't always explore neomuna, but when I do, I bring an aggressive shotgun with discord.
@@Dad_Noir it's only meta in two encounters, but lots of people use it in other scenarios just for fun. i like using lament whenever i get the chance because it's a different dps strategy to rockets or grenade launchers. for those people, this sucks, because it doesn't need the nerf. but their fun is gone or lessened.
Tarrabah recently destroyed pvp and was a near top pve exotic Necrochasm released in a spot where despite being good people were calling it bad and it had next to no usage so it's getting a buff. Also bungie said back with in season of the seraph I think it was the reason they don't touch tarrabah much is because the thing is on a thin line between completely broken and useless.
@@JMVQ37 I said near. It had dps matching some of the top specials at the time and some of the best ad clearing. It started dropping when other weapons got buffed but for a short time it was a powerhouse capable of nearly 1 phasing a bunch of raid bosses
@wintereclipse3263 it was never a top PVE weapon. It was out shined by recluse since day one. It's never had the spotlight in PVE. While in PVP, it was a menace for sure, but fuck it. Let em buff it for the final shape and give us some fun. As of now, I would take recluse over it still. Probably any other smg as well to be fair. It's cool when it works, but even throwing a battery in onslaught makes you lose half your charge. It's outta control.

It didn't seem to mention it here, but I'm pretty sure when they first spoke of the new Necrochasm catalyst, they also mentioned that, unlike One For All, you could actually refresh the Duration on this buff as much as ya want, which is pretty rad
This is such a weird weapon pass considering the power creep of prismatic. Also the Sunshot and Polaris ones seem like an oversight, like they forgot they are only as cracked as they are right now because of artefact

It's not that big of a nerf... do you even understand what these numbers mean? 75% more ammo to get the cage is nothing. It goes from 9 bullets do 16 bullets to generate the cage. It has a 1000 rpm... wich means it takes 0.42 seconds longer. it literally dosent matter
Honestly, the nerfs felt targeted and unnecessary. Sunshot and Polaris were already gonna feel worse when this season ended, but now they're gonna feel like shit. Wave frame grenade launchers don't feel good in above-level content, but now they're gonna be damn near unusable. Osteo is literally fucking dead, tragic as hell. Thorn and Necrotic Grips are better now in every way imaginable. Lament getting smacked like it is and Bungie not even bothering to fix its tracking feels personal.
Currently devastated about the Deconstruct nerf. I have an Albedo Wing with Replenishing Aegis and Deconstruct and it had SUPERB sustained tanking. Absolutely sucks that they decided to nerf it instead of fixing the bug with explosive weapons.
In what world are those weapons not busted? Osteo had easiest adclear in the game, divinity is still a must pick, and half the players still izi swap beacose of how good the dps is

Multikills (2-3 Targets + more) Overflows all Weapons Magazines (all exept Heavy if first is too unbalanced) Gives a chunk of melee energy based on Enemys Hit/Killed (depends on Balance). Normal Melee still functions like "Nightmare Fule" powerd Melee Kills and Finisher give you some melee energy.
Outbreak is about to be the most used PVE Primary in Final Shape. It's kinetic which builds Transcendance the fastest and with that 20% buff it's going to cook literally everything.
Not sure if anyone else noticed this but along with the recent changes to 450 pulses and the new damage in TFS, Bad juju might be a go to pick for a primary. I believe bad juju and huckleberry are the only weapons with the original rampage damage scaler which is up to 60%? So when juju revs up you’re probably looking at almost 90%+ more damage to red bar/enemies.
Osteos overflow already takes too long to poc where you essentially need to wait for enemies to die and also not accidentally reload at th end of the bas magazine, why don't they fix that instead

One part, kinetics do build anything faster. It builds both bars at the same time at half the speed, or one bar at normal speed if the other is full. (Before accounting for the fragment)

None of DPS the meta weapon have been nerfed and primary overall do more damage especially relative to exotics which mean zaoli and Luna are gonna be even more potent for endgame for example. You just got overwhelmed.

3:13 so fusions, snipers, and glaives are remaining are at 7% being equal to major, boss, and adept big ones spec. Lines Fusion rifles are only getting a 5% buff… meaning they are actually being nerfed FURTHER. Not by a lot but the nerfs add up. Not to mention they are all a nerf when compared to Taken Spec.
I’m a lucky pants hunter so hearing that the Wardens law got a massive nerf for no damn reason after grinding for it just makes me so bummed… Honestly kinda took the wind out of me man…

Soo…legendary rockets and grenade launchers got somewhat of a nerf. You can no longer add damage spec mods to them and they didn’t mention a universal increase damage to either. I guess you could slot in adept mag, but that only applies to GL’s and nobody really goes for that if envious assassin is an option.
My only actual concern is the reduction of the splash damage of both Polaris lance (I just realized that the weapon is REALLY good) and Sunshot (One of my main weapons) but solar being solar i think it will be fine... Also, is pretty obvius that they are nerfing Osteo so we use Necrochasm instead for the same build. And the lament buff... dang, I just got the weapon, welp, onto Sleeper simulant again.
This is why I didn't order FS because alot of the nerfs have to do with Prismatic bungie is like this will be to power when u use an exotic it sould feel good instead nerfs to the grave

Crucible will suck regardless. Any change they make to it will gut it in PVE. Just remove Crucible so the sandbox can actually be fun, enough is enough.

I don't touch crucible for obvious reasons but I do hear that it's one of the only things keeping wells and bubbles in check from dominating so a nerf would probably make things worse.
I think a interesting change to truth would be that it weakens Targets and target that get hit by it are revealed with the true sight effect for the whole team 17:52
While we are getting some pretty serious nerfs (and some of them hurt me on a personal level), I'm intrigued to see how some of those newly buffed exotics will perform... Colony especially seems to be getting some pretty insane ad-clear potential, so I look forward to it, and that Eriana's Vow buff is looking pretty juicy for obvious reasons. Also, with the changes coming to pulse rifles, I'm very excited to see how something like Outbreak Perfected, or even Bad Juju (I love how that gun looks ok) will perform!

Fusion rifles (in general, specific frames are something else) seriously do not need a buff. They are literally solid in a better position then they've been in ages, and this is without particle deconstruction. All this is gonna do is lead is end up with Bungie saying "We noticed that fusion rifles have been overperforming, so we nerfed it by fifteen percent." They *always* do this. Put something in a good position and then overbuff it again, and then overnerf it in overreaction. Also, who told bungie that this season is an accurate representation of how sunshot and polaris lance actually work and are going to work in the final shape? I would even understand if they released this nerf on the onset of season of the wish when the solar stuff was coming in. But why the f are they doubling down and overnerfing these weapons that are only made relevant by a season's artifact mod, after the end of said season when those mods are going away? You're not only removing the mod that make them popular, but you're also nerfing them on top of that, when people only started using them in this season. Even graviton lance was after YEARS, only really starting to get used within the past season and it wasn't broken. Trinity ghoul is inly still mainly used for low to mid pve. 💀 Even the nerf to kinetic weapons made absolutely no sense. There are like 3 kinetic weapons that are actually meta relevant for boss damage: supremacy, izanagis succession and kinda witherhoard/heritage but eh, not really. Aside from that, everyone is using energy weapons, whether it be heavy or fusion rifles or something like that. Sure. It gives room to like stasis. And strand special weapons to do dps. But where the f are those? There isn't exactly an expansive list of dope strand in stasis weapons that have just been held back by the fact that they're not kinetic. We just don't have any. Also, I'm not sure there's any meta special weapon that's really tearing it up out there because of its chain reaction role other than wave frames. So I'm not sure why they're acting as if chain reaction is just so busted on special weapons when it's been on special weapons for ages, and only got relevant when waveframes got it.

Queens breaker is actually pretty decent now for a linear i was keeping up with people in pantheon using storm chaser so this change might be enough to make it actually just better
Having to redo my build to suit Bungie's frequently-changing "feelings" for weapons is the primary reason I don't love this game. As of right now, the only thing we can (reasonably) count on to stay the same is the way armor stats work. That will eventually change once Bungie realizes people aren't grinding for armor anymore.
So basically Outbreak Perfected will be broken (good luck running the mission as a solo player, even on normal difficulty💀), Adept weapons are garbage now, Devs hate ad clear, Hullabaloo, Deconstruction is just a mag reloader perk in the 4th column (be fr, how often are you fighting/damaging constructs in this game?)=garbage, Gjallarhorn will make your fireteam more colorful than the pride flag, nerfing Kinetic weapons in PVE is actually diabolical, 1-2 Punch fusion rifle. Hope every one is ready to main warlock because we love casting spell🧙♂
It’s funny that a majority of these “buffs” are only gonna be like a 2% buff due to loosing spec mods, giving me huge “0.05 autorifle damage buff” vibes from these changes. Also splash damage nerfs will just kill all the damage to majors and bosses

I hope they increase the damage output to match with the enemy toughness. When Lightfall dropped, they definitely made the enemies tougher. It made for frustrating gameplay.
Literally why I never ever do explore on Neomuna. Why bother doing something that grindy when the rewards are not commensurate.

No Tarrabah buff while Necrochasm is gonna be running rampant everywhere is WILD
Tarrabah recently destroyed pvp and was a near top pve exotic Necrochasm released in a spot where despite being good people were calling it bad and it had next to no usage so it's getting a buff. Also bungie said back with in season of the seraph I think it was the reason they don't touch tarrabah much is because the thing is on a thin line between completely broken and useless.

@@JMVQ37 I said near. It had dps matching some of the top specials at the time and some of the best ad clearing. It started dropping when other weapons got buffed but for a short time it was a powerhouse capable of nearly 1 phasing a bunch of raid bosses
@wintereclipse3263 it was never a top PVE weapon. It was out shined by recluse since day one. It's never had the spotlight in PVE. While in PVP, it was a menace for sure, but fuck it. Let em buff it for the final shape and give us some fun. As of now, I would take recluse over it still. Probably any other smg as well to be fair. It's cool when it works, but even throwing a battery in onslaught makes you lose half your charge. It's outta control.

It didn't seem to mention it here, but I'm pretty sure when they first spoke of the new Necrochasm catalyst, they also mentioned that, unlike One For All, you could actually refresh the Duration on this buff as much as ya want, which is pretty rad

There is zero reason for div to be nerfed (it’s a player sacrificing their entire dps for ease of use). This is ridiculous.
My only theory is that the raid must’ve been too easy during play testing; maybe easier than RoN w/ some of the weapon changes.

75% more ammo to get the cage is nothing. It goes from 9 bullets do 16 bullets to generate the cage. It has a 1000 rpm... wich means it takes 0.42 seconds longer. it literally dosent matter
These buffs do not make up for the horrid nerfs. It's about to feel awful.
Honestly, the nerfs felt targeted and unnecessary. Sunshot and Polaris were already gonna feel worse when this season ended, but now they're gonna feel like shit. Wave frame grenade launchers don't feel good in above-level content, but now they're gonna be damn near unusable.
Osteo is literally fucking dead, tragic as hell. Thorn and Necrotic Grips are better now in every way imaginable. Lament getting smacked like it is and Bungie not even bothering to fix its tracking feels personal.
People are going to use thorn with necro and than they are going to nerf poison and thorn in the next few months. I’m sad 😢

Currently devastated about the Deconstruct nerf. I have an Albedo Wing with Replenishing Aegis and Deconstruct and it had SUPERB sustained tanking.
Absolutely sucks that they decided to nerf it instead of fixing the bug with explosive weapons.
All I got from this is that Bungie thinks having fun is bad and decided to nerf everything into the ground.
Everything being nerfed is what happens when the sweats complain about difficultly consistently

Hits with the Powerd Melee refill all weapons.
Multikills (2-3 Targets + more) Overflows all Weapons Magazines (all exept Heavy if first is too unbalanced)
Gives a chunk of melee energy based on Enemys Hit/Killed (depends on Balance).
Normal Melee still functions like "Nightmare Fule" powerd Melee Kills and Finisher give you some melee energy.

Outbreak is about to be the most used PVE Primary in Final Shape. It's kinetic which builds Transcendance the fastest and with that 20% buff it's going to cook literally everything.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this but along with the recent changes to 450 pulses and the new damage in TFS, Bad juju might be a go to pick for a primary. I believe bad juju and huckleberry are the only weapons with the original rampage damage scaler which is up to 60%? So when juju revs up you’re probably looking at almost 90%+ more damage to red bar/enemies.

One part, kinetics do build anything faster. It builds both bars at the same time at half the speed, or one bar at normal speed if the other is full. (Before accounting for the fragment)

None of DPS the meta weapon have been nerfed and primary overall do more damage especially relative to exotics which mean zaoli and Luna are gonna be even more potent for endgame for example. You just got overwhelmed.

The amount of nerfs does not outweigh the buffs, mostly because the nerfs we're getting were NOT needed in the slightest. Lament was just stupid, Osteo Striga might genuinely be a dead exotic now. 3:13 so fusions, snipers, and glaives are remaining are at 7% being equal to major, boss, and adept big ones spec.
Lines Fusion rifles are only getting a 5% buff… meaning they are actually being nerfed FURTHER. Not by a lot but the nerfs add up. Not to mention they are all a nerf when compared to Taken Spec.
I use blast furnace with firefly zen moment now and it’s gng to be better.

Soo…legendary rockets and grenade launchers got somewhat of a nerf. You can no longer add damage spec mods to them and they didn’t mention a universal increase damage to either. I guess you could slot in adept mag, but that only applies to GL’s and nobody really goes for that if envious assassin is an option.
If they make the weaken for deterministic chaos 30 percent like tractor cannon it will be come meta overnight.
My only actual concern is the reduction of the splash damage of both Polaris lance (I just realized that the weapon is REALLY good) and Sunshot (One of my main weapons) but solar being solar i think it will be fine... Also, is pretty obvius that they are nerfing Osteo so we use Necrochasm instead for the same build. And the lament buff... dang, I just got the weapon, welp, onto Sleeper simulant again.
Best Lament combo is 2 lights + 1 heavy, its fast and its good for damage.
This is why I didn't order FS because alot of the nerfs have to do with Prismatic bungie is like this will be to power when u use an exotic it sould feel good instead nerfs to the grave

I don't touch crucible for obvious reasons but I do hear that it's one of the only things keeping wells and bubbles in check from dominating so a nerf would probably make things worse.
They should just nerf the shotguns handling, then it can be felt I pvp, not so in pve

While we are getting some pretty serious nerfs (and some of them hurt me on a personal level), I'm intrigued to see how some of those newly buffed exotics will perform... Colony especially seems to be getting some pretty insane ad-clear potential, so I look forward to it, and that Eriana's Vow buff is looking pretty juicy for obvious reasons. Also, with the changes coming to pulse rifles, I'm very excited to see how something like Outbreak Perfected, or even Bad Juju (I love how that gun looks ok) will perform!
Chase the ever shifting meta! No don't look at the story or state of the game, forget the lack of content, just keep focusing on our forced changes to the sodding meta.

Fusion rifles (in general, specific frames are something else) seriously do not need a buff. They are literally solid in a better position then they've been in ages, and this is without particle deconstruction. All this is gonna do is lead is end up with Bungie saying "We noticed that fusion rifles have been overperforming, so we nerfed it by fifteen percent."
They *always* do this. Put something in a good position and then overbuff it again, and then overnerf it in overreaction.
Also, who told bungie that this season is an accurate representation of how sunshot and polaris lance actually work and are going to work in the final shape?
I would even understand if they released this nerf on the onset of season of the wish when the solar stuff was coming in. But why the f are they doubling down and overnerfing these weapons that are only made relevant by a season's artifact mod, after the end of said season when those mods are going away? You're not only removing the mod that make them popular, but you're also nerfing them on top of that, when people only started using them in this season.
Even graviton lance was after YEARS, only really starting to get used within the past season and it wasn't broken. Trinity ghoul is inly still mainly used for low to mid pve. 💀
Even the nerf to kinetic weapons made absolutely no sense. There are like 3 kinetic weapons that are actually meta relevant for boss damage: supremacy, izanagis succession and kinda witherhoard/heritage but eh, not really. Aside from that, everyone is using energy weapons, whether it be heavy or fusion rifles or something like that. Sure. It gives room to like stasis. And strand special weapons to do dps. But where the f are those? There isn't exactly an expansive list of dope strand in stasis weapons that have just been held back by the fact that they're not kinetic. We just don't have any.
Also, I'm not sure there's any meta special weapon that's really tearing it up out there because of its chain reaction role other than wave frames. So I'm not sure why they're acting as if chain reaction is just so busted on special weapons when it's been on special weapons for ages, and only got relevant when waveframes got it.

I've always hated this about patch notes. They say "we increased the poop launchers skid mark radius by 0.05 percent" and everyone goes crazy over it.
Having to redo my build to suit Bungie's frequently-changing "feelings" for weapons is the primary reason I don't love this game. As of right now, the only thing we can (reasonably) count on to stay the same is the way armor stats work. That will eventually change once Bungie realizes people aren't grinding for armor anymore.
So basically Outbreak Perfected will be broken (good luck running the mission as a solo player, even on normal difficulty💀), Adept weapons are garbage now, Devs hate ad clear, Hullabaloo, Deconstruction is just a mag reloader perk in the 4th column (be fr, how often are you fighting/damaging constructs in this game?)=garbage, Gjallarhorn will make your fireteam more colorful than the pride flag, nerfing Kinetic weapons in PVE is actually diabolical, 1-2 Punch fusion rifle. Hope every one is ready to main warlock because we love casting spell🧙♂

I don’t understand why they’re so scared of adding catalysts to raid exotics. The only reason I can think of would be because of older raids being taken out the game
