    I really enjoyed reviewing the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2 with the GTX 1650 as it's graphic card. It's powerful enough to handle my editing workflow and still have that high performance to game and stream at the same time. You can't beat that.

      It's not a GTX1650, but a GTX1650 Max-Q. Big difference

    If you put the laptop on a pillow, it obstructs the airflow leading to the processor thermal throttle. So better put it on a table unless the laptop is being used for some light work.

    oled panels drains the batter faster my man. That is with all laptops with Oled Panels. Also, it does not get that warm unless you ae pusing it really hard, normal with thin and light laptops.

    To improve the battery life, undervolt CPU and GPU. And switch all apps to dark themes.

    Great video, thanks! Having watched your p1 review as well, I am ready to order the p1 now. I would really appreciate if you could comment on the 4k oled screen; is it glossy or matte? How is it compared to the 4k ips panel? Is the oled screen too glossy for business use? Cheers.

      BTNHD right. Having an x1 carbon with the touch screen i knew better than to get that for the extreme. Has nothing to do with a tight budget....i don’t like gloss.......I’m also sure my machine has twice the ram and hard drive as yours. But nonetheless, that particular 4K screen doesn’t look as good as a matte screen IMO. Trust...I did my research on it but i respect your view.

    This vs T480 ? Which would you chose

    • @lbenegas
      @lbenegas 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the T480 and the T480s. They are VERY similar in specs. The only difference is the finish (T480s is way better, feels like aluminium -but in fact is magnesium-). The T480s is slimmer. Ultra portable. If I had to choose, I would go for a T480s without any doubt. Keep in mind that you can upgrade memory, disk drive and wifi. Some people recommend to buy the T480s with the i7 processor. I have the basic i5 8250u, and it runs well. I can run 4 VMs, code, and do the usual office stuff without any problem.

    • @lbenegas
      @lbenegas 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, if you buy an m.2 nvme disk, go for the 1gb SABRENT ROCKET. Those are blazing fast (3400mb sequential read and 3000 sequential write). Then you can reinstall windows from a pendrive (look for "installation media creation tool" in the Microsoft site). When installing, windows will autocomplete the windows 10 serial that came with the laptop (the serial is embedded in the BIOS -in the BIOS main screen you will see the serial-).
