- Ever wondered what SM64's levels would look like after a few years, maybe even 2 decades after the events the original when Bowser took over the Castle?
Well, this hacks aims to recreate and reimagine vanilla SM64 levels from memory to an extend where some levels will feel familiar yet new and others that have been turned into fully new levels.
Stars or sections that felt too repetitive or just weren't fun in the eyes of the hack creator have been replaced with newer stars or been reworked to play out differently.

Finished this yesterday with all 150 stars. Felt soo good to play something from you after a long time. Really enjoyed my time with this ROM sooo much. Thank you Brodute

This is definitely one of my top 5 hacks ever! I loved how you reimagined the old levels. Some of the levels, like Lethal Lava Land and Lugwig’s Harbor, are way better designed than the original levels. Also loved the expanded castle with all the caps available.
The only things I didn’t like about this hack are the camera being bad at times, and the amount of slide levels which I found got repetitive.
I hope this hack gets more attention, it deserves it!

A great way to revisit an old childhood favourite! I played the OG over and over, and I think this game will follow the same fate. Very similar and so diferent. Incredible game, I can't stop playing.

i finished the hack a few days back, and you've made 1 of my favorite hacks. when i saw that 1st Blue star i was like "NAH not gonna happen". until i pulled an all nighter for the full 100%.

Yo, I am subbed to you and I have no idea how I missed this. I am so playing this. This trailer was great
It's a pretty good hack, been playing on my Steam Deck and got to around 58 stars so far and it's been fun.
Only complaints I have is that one, there NEEDS to be something to prevent softlocks in the chill bully fight in Snowmans Land cause it got me stuck in a corner 2 TIMES which forced me to close and reopen the game.
And two, sometimes it feels like the only idea you had for adding extra difficulty in some sections was adding that one fire enemy. It makes certain parts of the game that would've been fine WAY more painful to play than it should be.

Had a great time with this hack, finished with 150 stars, though the Star Display will not update beyond those 150 stars and I can't figure out why.

The hack does come with a txt file where all the songs are listed in it, that were used for the hack or look at the descriptions of the of the songs I uploaded past this trailer.
what am i supposed to run this with? any emulator/plugin combo i use just gives me a black screen after the splash for this game, i have my rom size set to 8mb, cant for the life of me get this to run. any other hacks by you run fine for me.
the read me that comes with the hack literally tells you what to use

@@BroDute also, im not gonna use the parallel launcher, thats just more file bloat i dont need, would rather get this running where i have literally all of my other rom hacks organized already.
@@BroDute tried the parallel launcher, and it definitely made this easier, cant lie, i was wrong lol, it also has an option to import my saves, i assume the folks behind the project knew we were mostly switching from pj64
I tried it and it won't run in my emulator. The title screen pops up silently then it fades to black. Did I get a bad download or something?
Either switch gfx plugins or use parallel launcher instead.

I've patched the rom, I increased memory to 4MO to 8MO, the title screen shows up but then my game crash... What's going on? Do I need to do something else?
try a different gfx plugin or switch to Parallel Launcher

For some reason I couldn't get this ROM hack to work on Mupen64. It just loads for a bit and then shuts down.
that's because Mupen64 isn't the greatest at running hacks. Would stick to Parallel Launcher for sm64 hacks.
Thats weird, im using mupen on my phone and it works for me

This game won't play! I tried all graphics plugins and am using PJ64 1.0.3 and it just shows the title screen and goes black!
Did you also do "set the memory size to 8mb in the settings" thing? Alternatively you can also just give Parallel Launcher a try, it's better for sm64 hacks anyway.
@@BroDute Yes I did and I like to play with a controller, I refuse to go back to keyboard or screen controls, espicially your mods after what I went through in the Sonic levels in SR5.5 Destroyed Memories, broke a tablet cuz of that btw

Wow you suck at remembering the levels. Cool hack though. (This is a joke post the levels do look pretty)
positives: great level design, difficulty, quality-of-life mechanics, and overworld
negatives: distracting self-insertion and random deltarune stuff
eh, the self insertion wasn't too distracting. Only stuff I ever noticed was the NPCs in the slide levels that give u a personal time to beat.
The Deltarune stuff is kinda odd tho ngl, not complaining since I love the game but why put that in.
@@Xhepyxopila idrc too much for deltarune. the fandom gets really pissy if you complain about a joke getting old, or god forbid you call kris a "he". i don't wanna be reminded of the insecure teenage toby fox fangirls i've run into while playing freaking mario.
i guess that's not a valid complaint, brodude never would have known that and probably only threw it in there for the sake of the "mario in the dark world" pun (which was... an alright pun, i guess)

Also i'm pretty sure the reason brodude put Deltarune in the game is because they like Deltarune 💀
@@Xhepyxopila i doubt misgendering pixels on a screen i hardly knew anything about was a "valid" reason for me to get a verbal ass-whooping. not everyone knows kris is canonicaly NB, from what i've seen the only confirmation was toby fox correcting someone on a livestream which i just passed off as toby feeding the fire and preserving kris' ambiguity.

also Toby hasn't outright CONFIRMED Kris is non binary (he doesn't do that with ANY of his characters) but it's directly implied by the fact they're only refered to with they/them pronouns

that's why I usually only upload short pictures with screenshots as releases, but YT said no this time so I lazily put this thing together so I got something up on my channel again.
It's strange how this is the romhack everyone is talking about right now, and yet this video has barely 6k views.
Always happens with my hacks that the release video is like a 4th of the amount of people that play it in the end.
