Just went to the 20th anniversary show of this album last night in Phoenix. It was EPIC! They played the album from front to back (just like here)... and did another like 7 songs in an encore. Great show. Such talented musicians. The harmonies, tight ensemble, the crowd. Everything was ON POINT. Thanks for even more great memories, guys!

I was in the same situation, however, this album spoke to me differently. It was the fall of my senior year when this record came out and it certainly was not the best year of my life. Let’s just say the line “get out of this place while we still have time” REALLY resonated with me! Albeit differently, I’m glad this record meant a lot to you, too!
Same here Haley! I have one album that represents each year of high school (I also graduated in 2004). This album is my 2004 and represented my hopes, dreams, excitement, naivety, etc... and will forever bring me back to that year! Brand New's album Deja Entendu is my 2003. Finch's first album "What It Is to Burn" was my 2002. Incubus' Morning View was my 2001. Well I know what I'm playing the rest of the week lol!

Good God man. Seventeen years of listening to Polaris and it still tugs at my hearts strings like no other song can. Utterly adore this album and this live performance.
Yknow a lot of bands that have strained or emotional singing, can flub sometimes in the live performance. Sometimes the album was just lightning in a bottle that's hard to replicate. But you can tell here he really is just that good of a singer and that consistent.
This album is as close to perfect as it gets. It was released during a very formative time in my life when I moved halfway across the US for College. To say this album means a lot to me is an understatement!
It's not easy to remain an ensemble your entire time making music together. Their chemistry and each members contribution brings each of Jim's songs to life. And they've never sounded more solid. Way to age like fine wine, boys.
Jim is the best vocalist from the 2000s and one of the only bands who have kept their form and sound. Even their new stuff gives me the feels, it's always relatable. I wish there was a Jimmy and death cab Collab

This album is perfect from start to finish. As is the band and production. Brightened up a very dark time in my teens and lockdown too. Love from U.K. 🇬🇧
I remember listen to this album religously when I was in my early teens and met my first crush and imagining our future together. We have been together for 13 years now. I cant belive time is going by so fast..
I'm from the Philippines and I've been a fan since 2003. I was in high school then (practically grew up on their music and they shaped so much of me as a songwriter and musician as well). I haven't gotten a chance to watch them live (not locally or flying out to another country). I hope I get to watch them live before I die or if they decide to stop playing live 😢
The year was 2001, I was 12 years old, my older cousin was busting The Middle as loud as it could go on his Sony HiFi system, that was the day I was introduced to Jimmy Eat World, ever since I have been a huge fan. Being introduced to them with Bleed American was priceless, Futures is amazing too, every single song they have written reminds me of that specific time in my life and my own story attached to it like many will say too. 23 is the ultimate song, I have a plethora of precious moments and memories attached to that song, many good, many bad, but at the end of the day it is very special to me. I have learnt many lessons in my life while listening to all of these, and of course all the other albums too. Man I wish I could see them live. Love, from the east coast of South Africa.
This album came out my senior year fall 04. I played it whole no skips. At 17 that was the first time that ever happened. 20 years later this album still gives me incredible strength. A reminder of where I’ve been and where I’m at now. Each song still resonates. Having problems with drugs in my family, and this album comforts me. Thank you Jimmy Eat World in more ways than you can realize.
10/20/2022 - I found this gem of a video. I will never forget listening to Futures for the first time in high school in 2004 and being completely blown away and in love. It's still absolute perfection all these years later.
I am from Ecuador South America. The year this album was realased I was a foreing exchange student in the USA. This album was the one I used to listen in winter. This bring me so may memories of the snow, which we don't have in the ecuator, and all the new experiences I could live there. So gratefull for them to make this live concert.
Ageless songs. This record and specially 23 have left a marked on me. It has changed me the way I listen and feel music. Thank you guys! I am glad and thankful I have seen you live once.

AWESOME, masterpiece!
And wow I'm always impressed by how Jim sings and play at the same time... and do the solos!
I remember listen to this album religously when I was in my early teens and met my first crush and imagining our future together. We have been together for 13 years now. I cant belive time is going by so fast..
the guitar intro riff to Futures is literally rock and ROLL!!! i love the way it flows and rolls!! love Jimmy Eat, my hometown heroes!
Holy cow, they sound great still. 😮🎉
Superb playing. Amazing vocals, genius production. Iconic band playing iconic songs.❤
I am from Ecuador South America. The year this album was realased I was a foreing exchange student in the USA. This album was the one I used to listen in winter. This bring me so may memories of the snow, which we don't have in the ecuator, and all the new experiences I could live there. So gratefull for them to make this live concert.
LEGENDS!!!❤
Ageless songs. This record and specially 23 have left a marked on me. It has changed me the way I listen and feel music. Thank you guys! I am glad and thankful I have seen you live once.
This is by far my favorite j.e.w. album. Interestingly enough I just realized I was 23 when it came out.
Listening to this album again at my 31... hits harder than when it came out when i was a teenager... love Jiimy Eat World!
Kill still kills me everytime
