Nope. This sketch was from the summer variety show they did before they got the kids' show. The glimpse of the sketch after it ("Stephanie's Place") proves it, because Stephanie Edwards was only on their summer shows. The girl on the kids' shows was Avril Chown.
@@OofusTwillip yes, I would love to have their prime time show on DVD . I have the Saturday morning shows. The summer replacement shows should have made it to prime time in the fall that year. :(
Not sure if you guys gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last months =)
The Hudson Brothers 'Hollywood Situation' was my first LP I got as a little girl ,for Christmas. I was in love with Bill. 😏 My brother knows Chucky Margolis skit by heart ,till this day. I really miss these shows,Sonny and Cher, The Carol Burnett Show.Classic shows,so many fun memories.
Man !!!!!!!, "just another boring day day on the island of Peagy Peagy! I'd love too see the clip of these three guys on that stupid rock holding on to that one small palm tree!!!! Thanks for reminding me!
LOL I Always Enjoyed watching The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show on CBS Saturday Mornings back in the 1974-75 Season. Couldn't wait for Chucky Margolis and Seeing what's Going to Happen when Brett's giving Mark another Knuckle Sandwich Beating and Bill's addressing to the Live Studio Audience. All the Brothers were Creative in their Skits and their Songs are among My All-Time Old School '70's Faves...Back when I was a Teenager. Rock On, Semper Fi Never Die, Family 1st Peace and OORAH!!
I miss these guys. When I was a kid I would die laughing at this kind of stuff. I highly recommend their film called "Hysterical" from the early 80s. It's pretty funny.
You know, at least part of this routine - the bit about the bong - was on their "Hollywood Situation" album. Because I remember that when Alan says he saw Robin Hood Chucky hits him and says, "You did NOT see Robin Hood!" Then turns to Mark and says "But I did see..." and he says the name of another fictional character that I can't remember. God, I wish I still had that album.
I totally agree but the uproar about how politically incorrect this segment is, with the violence and the bong water drinking would be incredible! And I so miss it!
I had to find this. I used to watch their show almost religiously and this was my favorite segment. I still have the “Hollywood Situation” album to this day.
Wow! I remember this! My favorite sequence (next to Fabulous Freddie) from the Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show, one of my favorite Saturday morning TV indulgences. They really knew how to make comedy back then. Thanks for bringing it back!
I was in my early 20's when this show was on. I remember the Hudsons as being fine musicians, even though their music was not really mainstream. My mother used to watch this and enjoyed the comedy bits.
I remember watching a few of these, but I was in my high school years then, and was weaning myself from Saturday morning cartoons and such. Now I regret not watching more of this show. These are funny!
The closest thing to this that I've seen these days is that Aussie show "The Upside Down Show". My grand daughter LOVED that show when she was a tot! I must admit, I enjoyed watching it with her so much because it reminded me of The Hudson Brothers show. But, you are right...for the most part, kids tv is crap. So is most grown folks' tv, as well. The 70's was the coolest decade in tv, if you ask me. Chico and The Man, Good Times, Carol Burnett, The Waltons...geez--I could go on and on...
One of the production types on the show was named Margolis. I guess that was a tribute to his kid or something. Whatever, I loved this show and that was my favorite skit.
I used to get a kick out of watching the chucky segments on the show !!! so funny !!!!

I never watch the Hudson Brothers but I did watch Bobby Goldsboro and Chucky Margolis was on that show. I'm sure it preceded the Hudson Brothers judging by the attire and hair styles. I was really surprised to see this.
And what I love was the completely spot-on delivery that Brett had of that line...just like any 6 year old who was telling that story. "But I did see Cinderella!" It was SO funny!
The funny thing is, this is about drinking hookah water, but I guarantee the censors didn't know what they were talking about, otherwise this wouldn't have aired. "We were walkin' thru the forest, and everything was so beautiful. I saw trees eating cars, and squirrels was tap dancin". I LMAO when I saw this skit.
to Susan Harvey, check out finger breaks and hickeys. It's a little longer. Otherwise you have to get Razzle Dazzle and watch the last DVD. It's got all the Chucky's.
What a great alias to use on somebody! "What's your name, sir?" "Margolis, Chuckie Margolis", "and, what would you like on your pizza, Mr. Margolis?" I wonder if anyone would get it? Doubtful.
How come every video I watch of the Hudson Brothers show, Chucky Margolis, it's the same video! I used to watch that show religiously, especially to see Brett and Mark do Chucky & Alan. Every video I watch is the same one. Are there more? I'd love to see more! see
@CanadaFamilyMan well, i just watched this and laughed as hard as i did when i was a kid and watched this. what you mean is that they weren't funny to you. different people find different things funny. for instance, i think the three stooges is stupid. my son thinks they are hysterical.
Did I just hear them do a skit about a six year old kid drinking bong water? On a kids' show?
GOD I miss the 70's.

@Kairo Rayden Definitely, have been watching on instaflixxer for months myself :D
Oh, the nostalgia! This was my favourite running sketch from their show. I was head over heels in crush with Brett when I was a teen!
I loved this soooooo much as a kid! And now I'm still laughing my head off!

These guys made up this themselves...all their own stuff....they were really funny. Loved Chucky Margolis! HEY MARGOLIS!
I miss these guys. When I was a kid I would die laughing at this kind of stuff.

Totally hysterical. TV should bring these shows back.
I totally agree but the uproar about how politically incorrect this segment is, with the violence and the bong water drinking would be incredible! And I so miss it!
This brings back awesome memories for me. I will never forget HEY MARGOLIS!!
I had to find this. I used to watch their show almost religiously and this was my favorite segment. I still have the “Hollywood Situation” album to this day.
Loved the Hudson Brothers Show! Chucky Margolis was my favorite part of the show!
It is one of my fave segments.
I used to have this skit memorized back in the day. Watched it every Saturday.
Wow! I remember this! My favorite sequence (next to Fabulous Freddie) from the Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show, one of my favorite Saturday morning TV indulgences. They really knew how to make comedy back then. Thanks for bringing it back!
I must've been 8 or 9 back when I use to watch this. Great memories!!
Wow what a great childhood memory!
I haven't seen this since it originally acted way back in the 1970s. Much better than I remembered. Hudson Brothers came and went in a flash.
Just got the DVD of this show, and its brilliant, never laughed so much in my life, (thank god for multi regional DVD players).
more chucky videos please!!!!!!!! this was my favorite part of show...had forgotten all about it.
I didn't know their series had been released on DVD so I went right to Amazon and ordered it!! I loved these guys, especially Brett!!
I was in my early 20's when this show was on. I remember the Hudsons as being fine musicians, even though their music was not really mainstream. My mother used to watch this and enjoyed the comedy bits.

Me too! I would have to get 2! My sis in law always called each other by "HEY MARGOLIS"! Good memories.

Have to wonder about how that bit about drinking bong water made it to tv in those days.
Chucky was one of the funniest parts of the show.
Thank you so much for posting this. I've been looking for a Chucky Margolis clip forever!!!! This made my day
HEY-Y-Y mar-r-r GO-O-O li-i-i-s-s

Had such a huge crush on Brett when I was a boy. He always took my breath away.
And what I love was the completely spot-on delivery that Brett had of that line...just like any 6 year old who was telling that story. "But I did see Cinderella!" It was SO funny!
bong water..that is awesome
Damm! I don't remember it being that good in the 70's! they were in Cali, the stuff they had must have been from Hawaii!!
One of the Chucky sketches ended up on one of their albums. Sadly, I no longer have the album.
omg this is SO funny!! thanks for posting this, love it!!
Hahahahahahahah!!! LOVE it!! Thank you SO much!
More Hudsons! More Chucky, please!
:-D

You gotta love the 70s! Can you imagine trying to get a marijuana joke on a kids show past the network censors in this day and age?
Alan Margolis: the only six year old kid with a moustache....
If you want the Peagy Peagy skit, you need to buy the DVD of the TV show.
Unless it's "Hysterical". ;-) Thanks. I'll keep my eyes open.
Have you got the sketch that followed this one? I think I need a longer look at that barmaid. Hubba hubba!
Alan is FIVE years old and has a full mustache!!! 😂
I've had his name running through my head for years and thought it was a real person I just couldn't remember! 😆
to Susan Harvey, check out finger breaks and hickeys. It's a little longer. Otherwise you have to get Razzle Dazzle and watch the last DVD. It's got all the Chucky's.
I used to have the LP
A Bong? wow i did not know you could say that in those days

So I’ll be the first... Family Guy brought me here and this show sucks haha! 3 minute intro... my god!
