*_[Part 1] Translation of an interview with the person behind this movie_* Q: What inspired you to make this animated movie and put a national hero against a Hollywood legend? A: Animation is loved by everyone, young and old, around the world, because it has a strange power in transferring the desired goals. With the help of the tools at its disposal, animation can be a very deep carrier of concepts, as all the things that can't be done in real life can easily fit in animation, and the whole world has realized this significance. But the reason we went after this story was that we wanted to show the history, culture and civilization of Iran and expose the identity-less character of Ben 10. Since someone such as Ben 10 is present in every moment of our children, we wanted to show them his true character. He is an American boy who has supernatural powers, turns into 10 creatures with the bracelet that he has with him, and wants to help the earth, but that's not the only goal of Ben 10. He has symbols which are all the symbols of Satan and the creators want to use this to present invasion in a very attractive and effective way to our children. [The rest is in the replies.]
*_[Part 2] Translation of an interview with the person behind this movie_* Q: Then why did you use the help of this identity-less character himself to expose him? A: Because we saw that our children are attracted to these western characters, while we have had heroes here in Iran, which can have more attractiveness for them. We decided to bring our own heroes to the table and, in fact, the idea of making this movie was this same armband that actually belongs to Iranians and children have been seeing it on Ben 10's arm for years. The point of putting Ben 10 against Siavash was showing the shallowness of this character to children, because this character has been so empowered between children that unless he was put next to Siavash, this movie wouldn't have the effect that it has today. We wanted to put these two characters aside each other and compare them. Our goal was to slander Ben 10. We put these characters next to each other and allowed children to be the judge, and now when a child leaves the theater, he says that Siavash is stronger.
*_[Part 3] Translation of an interview with the person behind this movie_* Q: Is your Siavash the same one from Shahnameh? A: No, we created our own Siavash. Just like how Ben 10 is an American boy and the representative of the people of America, Siavash is an Iranian boy and the representative of the people of Iran, who stands against cruelty and tyranny and brings peace to the world. Although there are references to heroes like Rostam, Esfandiar, Arash, etc., presenting Shahnameh in this movie was never our intention.
*_[Part 4] Translation of an interview with the person behind this movie_* Q: Why, despite us having legends and heroes such as Siavash and others, are animations like Ben 10 and the others like it more attractive to our children? A: The problem is that we have never presented our own heroes. If we don't have heroes, Ben 10s and Spider-Men replace the heroes of our children. Why should fictional western heroes replace Iranian heroes and legends and affect the beliefs and thoughts of our children? This is where "Siavash's Secret" comes along and says that Ben 10 is a lie and has no power, while one such as Siavash gets his power from God. I can confidently say that Siavash's Secret has the same attractiveness of foreign animation for our children. But perhaps foreign works are noticed by children more because the technical work of foreigners is higher, because perhaps animation is the only industry in which money determines everything. When they make a Hollywood animation with 150 thousand dollars and we make something with one thousandth of that cost, what expectation is there!? This industry is new in our country and we must spend for this types of work, it's not like our artists lack in ability. Unfortunately we don't spend for our creations and legends. Aside from the high technical work of western works, perhaps another thing that makes them attractive and memorable is making several series of a hero like Ben 10 and others like him. In my opinion, if this repetition happens, yes, this task is possible. But the reality is that, on the other side of the world, there is governmental support behind all of these. Now, while there might be private investment as well, it's not without the support of the government and they come and present their thoughts and goals through these characters. We too can do the same if given support.
There we go, I just spent an hour and a half killing my brain cells. This is only one of the several interviews that they have done, and this was actually tamer in comparison. Their audacity is astonishing, and it's even worse in the others. Still, this should you give you a good idea on who's behind this. P.S. Hope I didn't make too many typos/grammatical mistakes.

Y'know what bugs me the most? The fact that they went through the extra effort to study the source material, enough to include characters like Paradox, to recreate the Ben 10 series rather faithfully... and it was all with the upmost ill intent of slandering and demonizing the show. Keep in mind, if they had just made a Siavash show, even if it was still structured as a Ben 10 rip off, it probably would've been more succesful. Fun fact (and I'm writing this based on the title alone as I haven't seen the video or this film): Siavash's secret is a CGI animated film made and promoted by the Iranian government at the peak of the country's anti-western-media propaganda. To give some context, the Iranian government and it's Islamic Republic regime, have a deep resentment for first-world countries, especially the USA. So they released this film as what they thought was a good way of introducing the new generation to the country's mythologies (that we are forced to learn about in school, mind you) by putting one of them up against Ben 10. As an Iranian myself, I can tell you right now, I got quite a lot of ads about this back in the day. And personally I thought based off the promotional material alone, that I wasn't interested. This is my first time seeing anything in relation to it, so here goes. I just hope the dialog isn't that cringy. Keep it fizzy, bud!
Also I'm not sure if Gwen shows up in this movie at all but if she doesn't it's probably because they couldn't make a new character model for her where she was wearing Hijab (it's part of the law that women should never appear without proper Hijab in public at all, TV and cartoons included)
I choose to believe that this whole movie was actually orchestrated by Professor Paradox. We know he interacts with Bens other than just Ben Prime, so *clearly* what happened is Paradox discovered a bootleg universe with its own Ben and engineered a situation where Ben abandons the Omnitrix so that Cartoon Networks' agents couldn't track him down through its iconic branding & destroy this Ben's bootleg universe. Paradox is the unsung hero of this movie.
@@bearerofbadnews1375 most likely he was a Demon and his turning into Ben was a curse of God So when he converted to Islam he became an Angel (a Galvanian but Good) thus returning to his original form but as a Good Person 😂
Mine is that they were made and directed by Harangue, Albedo worked as bootleg Ben's model and Captain Nemesis payed the bills for production of the bootlegs
This would literally be like if some modern Iranian action cartoon protagonist did an adventure, and then halfway through he went back in time and got his ass kicked by George Washington.
Actually Siavesh wasn't even a real historical figure. He was basically a folk hero. So a more accurate comparison would be if they went back in time and got their ass kicked by Johnny Appleseed.
The creators literally said "We wanted to slander Ben 10" in an interview, they weren't even trying to hide it lmao. Edit: I posted a translation of the complete interview here if you're interested.
@@FectoElfilin Unfortunately the source is in Persian, the website can't be accessed without an Iranian IP, and TH-cam doesn't let me even post the link lmao. ...and apparently TH-cam doesn't like me typing Persian so I can't even tell you what to Google.
I am Iranian, and I remember the first time I saw this commercial, I was very surprised. It was actually released in cinemas, and its sales and reviews were so bad that its digital version was never released. I never went to the cinema to see it, because from the bits I saw of it, I knew how painful it was to watch. In Iran, like many other places, Ben 10 is very popular among children, and that's why they made this to say that Iranian characters are better than Ben 10, and that's why Ben 10 is failing as a whole movie. The history of Iran is full of stories with characters that are really beautiful, but now instead of dealing with these characters, such works like this are produced. (and of course #mahsa_amini #women_life_freedom for the revolution that is happening in Iran.)
While it makes sense that there are people that take what people like, and attempt to use it against them, but to have some confirmation of that, makes me a bit more sad. Thank You for the insight into this.
It really could have been something interesting if Ben legitimately teamed up with a historical figure like he did in Omniverse and gained respect for someone and their culture that was different from his own, but of course that's not what the creators were going for. A sad, missed opportunity, but like with Kuro and Diamondbolt I'm legitimately interested in Siavash now and hope this video inspires similar interest with all its viewers.
A star walks into a black hole but doesn't seen phased. The black hole then turns to the star and says, "I don't think you understand the gravity of this situation."
When you said Ahriman everything came into place for me. Basically Ahriman IS Satan, they are part of Zoroastrianism, the Iranian religion. And when you mentioned him, I remembered a Russian cartoon based on a book series "Kids vs Wizards" which is a religious takedown on Harry Potter (google Дети против волшебников). The animation is extremely similar in fact. And the approach is super similar as well, except I guess they didn't make Ben the villain and also all the conservative fearmongering things.
same lmao, it is however weird that a movie made under theocracy and pushed for propaganda reasons goes back to the roots of persian civilization; previously I wouldn't have been surprised if everything before the 7th century was dismissed as "fire-worshipping" in Iran, but tbh that's actually way more interesting.
@@bearerofbadnews1375 Fellow Megaten fan. Hikawa's Ahriman has a badass design. Also, if you really think about it, the Omnitrix is like a COMP for aliens instead of demons. Not exactly the same, but similar. Ben also sorta resembles the pre-apocalypse SMT1 protagonist a bit. Probably just a coincidence, but cool nonetheless.
I bet this film was made because someone had a grudge against Ben so that's why the Omnitrix was destroyed and Ben was so useless that he couldn't even climb a bird
The whole Iran govt had a grudge again Ben 10, cuz it was a popular western media piece. So they decided to slander him and bring their own "heroes". This movie really was just anti west media propaganda.
I feel like this would only cause more backlash from Iran against America if that was the case. I feel like 'Ben meeting a hero from Iran' episode, where the Iranian hero is more developed in the episode than in the Iranian film would be a better idea.
this is like a bad dream when you know you can fly because you just had a sequence when you did. But then when other people enter the sequence, you suddenly cannot. It is so frustrating to see happen
The Bird destroyed Ben's Omnitrix. But I just realized, isn't the AF Omnitrix acts as a wireless receiver to access the Codon Stream in Primus. But then again... it is funny that this is multiversal canon.
The thought just occurred to me that if this a version of Ben that knows all the aliens he has during this era, couldn’t he just transform into Alien X and beg Bellicus and Serena to go back home?
What you didn't realize because of the language of the movie is that Gwen and Max are dead in this movie. The main reason was to show Ben defeated and humiliated. And the next reason is that in Iran there is a problem called the mandatory hijab, which does not allow the female character to be portrayed without a scarf and some kind of special clothing, and in the meantime, they said to kill Max so that Gwen would not be alone.
I think I read the producers saying something along the lines of "Ben 10 is animated in 3D, while we animated this movie in 2D, which is of course harder"... Yeah, you can't except much from someone who unironically says that.
@@Nobody_247 The dude is delusional, as any religious fanatic is, but I'm not sure if calling his own work 2D is part of his delusion, or him thinking people are stupid enough to believe it's 2D just because it had a toon shader (though that could also be considered a delusion). But I just can't explain calling Ben 10 3D in any way lmao
I find it interesting, especially after what Lightning 1381 said, on how this was more or less propaganda for the Iranian government. Like Ben is made completely useless as copy of him based on mythology does everything he can but "better". Just an interesting view of it. Also can we talk about how this is literal a fanfic from the real writers, that is also a fanfic in the context of the movie. (Edit: I can believe they literally had Ben destroy the Omnitrix... Like i'm legit speechless 😂)
An antagonist alien empire wages war against demons and the hero caught in the middle aims to wipe both of them out? That does sound like a comic book premise.
I consider myself having "high standards" for what I usually consider "bad", as in "It's VERY HARD for me to actively dislike a piece of media, not even shit like Rise of Skywalker or certain reboots of certain franchises that people hate" and so this bootleg film finally have that honour of making on to the tier of things I actually hate to watch which is certainly impressive. Not you guys reacting but the very thing you guys are watching.
Rise of Skywalker was better than either A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. It has problems, but nothing like Han and Leia's "romance" or Luke having ABSOLUTELY no agency in the first movie.
@@genyakozlov1316 I won't say much because my tastes are on a different level. Was using Rise of Skywalker as an example of me not hating a thing the majority hates
I do not remember Siavash from the Persian myths being capable of Transforming into anything or anyone but they got the Ahriman story pretty right. Ahriman in the myths was practically Satan( he is all evil in the world ) who at one point Possesses and turns a young Prince into a Demon King by giving the Prince two Snakes on his Shoulders after the Prince killed his Dad
I guess that's like if someone made a story about King Arthur meeting Ben 10 and buffed the Excalibur to shoot lightning and open space-time continuums.
@@k-techpl7222 Ben 10 vs Artoria / Saber. (now I'm wondering if there are any servants Ben can add into his Omnitrix... maybe some servantverse characters)

If they did something like that ı want an dialouge like this Ben:"Wait why do you want me to take off omnitrix?" Siavash:"Just trust me bro" Ben:"Ah ok"

Yes, please, and seeing Siavash himself in 5YL style would be great. I'd understand if the Tank shyed away from depicting an actual historical person, though.
Mmmmm. Do gods exist in the ben 10 universe? If they did can ben scan them? I mean the olympians for example are celestial and different enough to be seen as "aliens".
@@Deaglan753 I don't see why they should be the limit. Afterall, marvel and dc has similar creatures like the one above all, the presence, the living tribunals and the beyonder. Yet they still included greek and norse gods.
Okay, I am Iranian and the only memory I have of this thing is seeing books of "Ben 10 vs Siavash" everywhere when I was younger. I don't know if it was a picture book or a comic book or what, heck my memory could possibly just be fucking with me by misremembering the DVD cases as book covers. Regardless, I do remember avoiding it like the plague since even in my early teen years I could take a look at that title and know that it's gonna devolve into "look guys, the mythological hero of our great, pure and traditional country could beat up the famous character made by those American heretics" and I'm not even remotely surprised to find out I was right all along. as the pinned comment said, Iran was and still is on a real anti-west propaganda craze but something that I feel like needed mentioning is the Ben 10 craze in Iran. There aren't many big media crazes here in Iran and even stuff like Pokemon or Street Fighter are relatively unknown here. we have had some stuff like a smaller version of Turtle Mania (but over the 2003 series instead of the 1987 series) and a Clash of Clans and Angry Birds sweep. But the Ben 10 craze... the Ben 10 craze was on a whole different level. Ben 10 was the only thing kids in school were talking about and you couldn't take a step outside without seeing bootleg Ben 10 shirts, backpacks, coloring books, toys, lunch boxes, pencil cases and whatnot, and I guess the idea that all of Iran was obsessed with a piece of media made by the west got under the Islamic Republic's skin. One thing worth noting is that from what little voice clips I heard in your video, none of the Ben 10 characters and aliens were voiced by the people that were known for voicing them so I guess it was either made by a company that had to use in-house VAs or the VAs actually had enough dignity to avoid the project. and even this whole "people that were known for voicing them" thing is pretty unique in Iran since there are several dubbing companies in Iran (and a few Persian dubbing companies outside of Iran) that each do their own dubs of foreign movies and TV shows with entirely different casts from each company, but Ben 10 only had one dub (even though some of the characters and aliens had their voice actors replaced during the dub) and that was the only dub that people used to watch the show.
Kuro:My OC can do anything...BUT he can't destroy the omnitrix?!?! When I saw that scene of him destroying it I was like Hell nah he can't do that and he for sure can't beat Goku
As an Iranian, I am really saddened that some unworthy people are ruining a famous series and our beautiful legends like this. Believe me, even in Iran, no one enjoyed this scandal.
24:40 i mean it makes sense, he’s essentially Marvel’s absorbing man and we saw him suck up electricity in classic, I’m surprised man of action didnt use that.
As insulting as this movie was, it's kinda interesting seeing Ben 10 used for propaganda, but this movie is pretty much a fever dream imo, but interesting media tbh. Also great seeing you guys collab again
You really should make a nod to that Ben in 5YL lmao The power hungry Ben that have forsaken the omnitrix to have the persian God bracelet. The more I talk about it, the more it seems like a great concept as this Ben would probably try to convert other Bens XD
The fact that this can actually be canon despite not clearly being canon (as in this story made this person but somewhere in the omniverse there is a ben where that happened)
The most important (and scary) thing about all of this is that, according to how the Ben 10 Universe works and how there are multiple different versions of Ben across time and space, this movie could very well be canon in some universe. Siavash could technically be canon.
So, is there any explanation for why the Omnitrix didn’t activate the failsafe feature and turn Ben into NRG or someone else who could easily deal with the radioactive eggs?
Because apparently the omnitrix doesn't have any fail safes in this universe. They're just thrown straight out of the window here. Seriously, you think Siavash would be able to destroy the omnitrix/ take it off of Ben's wrist so easily if it had it's fail safes??
This was hilarious! Great video from both of you on both your channels… a funny idea you could do Kuro after you’re done (or part way through doing it if you want) with the motion comic, is to re-dub the whole movie with the voice cast your having with that motion comic, just pure stupidity with it and even editing around it like a fan dub. With having your knowledge of all of Ben 10 with a pretty close voice cast would be great! Even if you don’t with that large plate of stuff your making for all of us, great video!
I suddenly have a newfound appreciation for Ben Gen 10. Ben and Rex fighting over a s’more is more exciting than this movie and that’s just the first act.
What the actual hell was this movie, the clip of Ben literally throwing away the omnitrix goes against anything Ben 10. This movie gets an absolute 0/10. I am so glad this is not canon to Ben 10

It really could have been something interesting if Ben legitimately teamed up with a historical figure like he did in Omniverse and gained respect for someone and their culture that was different from his own, but of course that's not what the creators were going for.
