You can easily combine all 3 different Vilgax explanations: Vilgax is from Vilgaxia, a planet in the Shadow Realm. As the mutant conqueror he can turn into a giant squid, while regular Chimera Sui Generis are humanoid. Vilgax is a mutant and as such an outlier, the Shadow Realm is a system of planets next to a rift.
Maybe Tetrax's suit is like a symbiote? No powers like venom, just purely for cosmetic purposes. The way it moved around his hands and arms reminded of him. I can see somebody making tech like that
I've always felt like Vilgax's "true form" is one of the abilities he gained when he conquered one of his ten worlds. He knew about ripjaws and potentially jetray so it's possible he got the ability to combat them more efficiently. It's also possible that that form is something like the great ape forms saiyans have, all of vilgax's species can access them, but only certain individuals can control the form.
21:28 I think that in the movie's special cut of text they said that the reason Miyax was on Incarsicon was because she tried to sell some kind of cloaking technology to some pirates and got caught as a result
22:42 - I always figured that the charge had to build-up enough to actually destroy the Omnitrix because of how durable it was and taking out the universe was just collateral damage. As for it's destruction in AF, it was already badly damaged at the time meaning it didn't have to build up as big of a charge and even then there was plenty of the Omnitrix remaining after it blew-up.
22:55 you could ask that same question in the animes My Hero Academia and One Punch Man. How many people in those series who are heroes or are training to become them genuinely want to help save lives and not just do it for the fame, fortune and trills? It's a pretty deep question and I love it.

22:30 based on the explanation from the finale for alien force when he blows up the omnitrix with only a 30 second charge I’m pretty sure it’s a feature. Based on how big the threat is, if the omnitrix needs to be destroyed he could take the entire enemy force with him no matter how many enemies there are as long as he times it correctly. If the threat is so big the omnitrix needs to be destroyed instead of used against it, it’s probably safe to say it should blow up the universe… especially when you consider A) alien x wouldn’t be strong enough in that situation and B) the universal range was used to repair the dna of the high breed.

22:10 to answer ur question whether the omnitrix tearing apart the whole entire universe is a feature or side effect, since the self destruct sequence had been charging up for days instead of a few minutes, the charge will be powerful enough to destroy the universe. in alien force when ben initiated the self destruct on vilgax, he only charged it up for a few minutes, thus not making it destroy the whole universe. so to answer ur question, side effect
Okay, I have a few things to say: 1. I think that Dr Animo’s bug was supposed be some kind of hybrid of a Hornet and a Terrorantula. 2. I wish Eye Guy had a proper onscreen introduction (not nesessarily in the movie) because there were times when I didn’t recognise or remember him. 3. I think a lot of the aliens at Incarcecon are in Psyphon’s gang in Omniverse. 4. I sometimes wonder what the movie would be like if it included all of Ben’s enemies from space (and maybe Kevin too) or if Max went along with them.
This movie is so incredible. These breakdowns are such a treat, your commentary is so good, it has humor and deep analysis. I don't know a single person that could do this better than you
Yknow, Incarcecon doesn't really seem like such a terrible place. You get to hang out with hundreds of like-minded scoundrels, you get free food, and most of these guys are just chilling despite supposedly being violent criminals. Certainly beats the Null Void.
@@Goat10Solos That was only a future version of the watch. The current one Ben has is the most basic and prototype version. I don't know if has the same durability or not since we've never seen it put to the test, but it has been able to be affected easily by human tools like screwdrivers.
These breakdowns gives me deeper appreciation for the artists behind the show, great work. The diversity in the alien species in this movie is remarkable, and they all look unique.
The Incarcecon intro scene blew me away when I rewatched this. A few of the aliens in the background almost looked like CG with how they're shaded, but that would've been an insane amount of work for one shot right? I guess the shading they chose for that is just reminiscent of early cel shading.
Pretty sure it was explained in the Alien Force finale that the SDM was only a treat to the universe because it was storing up power with its long charge time, as later on Ben gave Vilgax only 30 seconds to hand the omnitrix over.
I love this movie, and watching it again makes me wish the Ken 10 movies was given the movie treatment too. It'd come full circle having the two villains that were locked away in the Null Void come back in a longer episode format.
The first series relies on extra bits to explain somethings, true why Myaxx was in jail isn’t that important but Ben knowing Tetrax’s name is a little bit more odd. Also Ben and Gwen’s lack of care for their parents is because they don’t matter as characters.
I have Eye Guy on my dvd so I always assumed that was the only version. It’s weird because that’s his only appearance in the original series. You would think they would’ve just kept it as Eye Guy to introduce him.
It's nice to see Tetrax using his Petrosapien powers as in the episode 'Hunted', he calls Ben out for not using Diamondhead's powers to his full potential. And Tetrax certainly delivers as he takes them out in a pretty cool and OP way. For example what he did at 19:06. Would've been nice to see Diamondhead do that. Would be nice to see Ben learn from the other people who's species are of his alien more. Not saying it doesn't happen, but would be nice to see more. How deep the world building and the lore's really part of the essence of Ben 10 and why we love Ben 10 so much thanks to God's grace. When he comes back in season 3 of Alien Force in The Secret of Chromastone, like a lot of characters, they're different to how they were in the original series. Still loved that episode and it's still one of my favorites but as the usual trend goes, they didn't use Tetrax to his full potential and the way he conducts himself is different.
Tetrax’s line about being a hero is really deep and it is just like how spider-man says with great power comes great responsibility I feel what tetrax says applies to every single superhero ever in all fictional universes
Part 1? I thought we were going to get the full movie... then again It would be too much work to put into one video, well I can't wait for the next part, great job
I always thought that the reason why the explosion would destroy the universe was because the Omnitrix was practically indestructible. We even see in Omniverse that the Omnitrix survived the annihilargh so the force needed to destroy it must be at the very least universal + level.
13:25 this is the best perfect cuts you evee made, Kuro. Well, aside from: "That's my granddaughter." "I always wanted to see one of those-" "Since when-"
21:40 So she was arrested after trying to sell advanced tech to Spitter’s species? Huh nice to see Sphoeroids get a mention if only Spitter was used more, shame he wasn’t brought back for Omniverse.
I live in India and we had got the eyeguy variation version of this movie before eyeguy was even introduced (cause of CN not showing the version in chronology) I was so confused when I saw that allien
I wold think the Universe-destroying thing is, in fact a feature. After all, Ben stated in AF that how much damage it causes is directly correlated to how long it charges for. As he demonstrated soon after, the Omnitrix can self-destruct with only 30 seconds of charge, causing a pretty harmless explosion. If it doesn't NEED the universe-wide blast to self-destruct, then it's probably made so the user can choose to make the Omnitrix into a universe-bomb. Probably as some last-resource kind of thing.
I really liked that you touched on the hero line it's actually why I hunted down reviews for this movie bc even when I first watched it in 07 I thought it was a little unfair
Upon a rewatch I noticed that you snuck in a Reboot Ben silhouette in there when montaging all the movies, and honestly I'm so excited. It'll probably take like, two years to get through AF, UA, Omniverse, and eventually the Reboot, but even still. This is just the start of a long journey and I'm behind you all the way!

You can easily combine all 3 different Vilgax explanations:
Vilgax is from Vilgaxia, a planet in the Shadow Realm. As the mutant conqueror he can turn into a giant squid, while regular Chimera Sui Generis are humanoid.
Vilgax is a mutant and as such an outlier, the Shadow Realm is a system of planets next to a rift.

When Gwen was taken and Ben turned to Cannonbolt to break apart Azmuths door I still tear up :')
22:55 you could ask that same question in the animes My Hero Academia and One Punch Man. How many people in those series who are heroes or are training to become them genuinely want to help save lives and not just do it for the fame, fortune and trills? It's a pretty deep question and I love it.

Yeah it was the final episode of Season 1
22:30 based on the explanation from the finale for alien force when he blows up the omnitrix with only a 30 second charge I’m pretty sure it’s a feature. Based on how big the threat is, if the omnitrix needs to be destroyed he could take the entire enemy force with him no matter how many enemies there are as long as he times it correctly. If the threat is so big the omnitrix needs to be destroyed instead of used against it, it’s probably safe to say it should blow up the universe… especially when you consider A) alien x wouldn’t be strong enough in that situation and B) the universal range was used to repair the dna of the high breed.

to answer ur question whether the omnitrix tearing apart the whole entire universe is a feature or side effect, since the self destruct sequence had been charging up for days instead of a few minutes, the charge will be powerful enough to destroy the universe. in alien force when ben initiated the self destruct on vilgax, he only charged it up for a few minutes, thus not making it destroy the whole universe. so to answer ur question, side effect
It wasn't even minutes, it was just 30 seconds.
Since the Omnitrix couldn't be removed, Tetrax modified Ben's spacesuit so the Omnitrix acted as a seal between Ben's hand and arm
Okay, I have a few things to say:

I'M SO HAPPY HE'S DOING HE MOVIES
The first series relies on extra bits to explain somethings, true why Myaxx was in jail isn’t that important but Ben knowing Tetrax’s name is a little bit more odd. Also Ben and Gwen’s lack of care for their parents is because they don’t matter as characters.
I loved this movie as a kid! Whenever it was on TV, I'd surely be sat on the couch, ready for a fun time. Can't wait for part 2!
I’ve always assumed when Vilgax asked “What does Tennyson know that I don’t?” Sixsix replied with “Quite a bit.“
Tetrax’s line about being a hero is really deep and it is just like how spider-man says with great power comes great responsibility I feel what tetrax says applies to every single superhero ever in all fictional universes
