- The 1972 Chevrolet Vega Street Machine Catt Nip 2.0...Unveiled in the 2018 ScottieDTV Dirty Dozen at the 2018 Pigeon Forge Rod Run...This is a one of a kind 1972 Chevrolet Vega handcrafted by Danny Katt....Danny is not some big name builder...Danny is a home builder all of His creations...He has several...Are going to red
They are all going to be way different than anything you have seen before...And they are all going to be cool...There is a 5.3 LS under the hood...The interior is custom and it has a very cool street machine style to it...The wheels and stance fit this build perfect....
Although you still know it as a 72 Vega...There has been a ton of modifications made to the body...And Danny mounted the backup lights in the middle of the rear bumper...A very cool feature....This is one very cool 1972 Chevy Vega..Unlike any you have ever seen And one you won't soon forget...Very Cool for sure..Check it out!!!!

I built a 75 Vega GT Station wagon, back in 79. Working at a machine shop, I built a 355 sb and shoehorned it in. I had too many goodies to list them all in this comment tonight, it's past my bedtime too, 12:52 A.M. lol. Thank's for sharing this video and the Vega, I always enjoy seeing built up Vegas.

Thanks Scottie for capturing and showing us this Vega Master-piece from a master at home car builder, Mr. Danny Katt. This is my favorite Vega ever. I had two in my time, sold 'em both (V8), but this is the best of all conversions/creations/Art I have seen. Sure hope to see that in person some time. He said he had 13 builds any chance you might video more of his works? If it weren't for you, we would miss a lot this excellent effort. Please thank Danny for me, you and he are appreciated! HARMARSCH2 those are rare all the Vegas I know about they change the engine in them because at the time General motors are pressured to come out with a car that year even Ford came out with flops like the Pinto and other small car's at that time because of the Gas prices forgn car's started to become popular Toyota Handa Datsun they were competing in the Market, my Pa used to buy the used 1968-72 Toyota's for $50-100 bucks at the time and get them running and turn around and sale them we still have my Paz 1968 Toyata
No the Vega/Astre (Pontiac) never came with a V8. Any V8 Vega has had the Chevy V8 transplanted in it. Vegas had aluminum engines in them and burned oil like crazy. Lol. The most sought after Vega that is rare is a Cosworth Vega. I’ve only seen photos of them. If I had a Vega now, I’d probably put a V6 in it.
HARMARSCH2 yes I know the Grimlin was a GM product to and can't think of the names of the other small car's GM came out with I remember what they looked like.
The Gremlin was a American Motors Corporation Car not a General Motors Corporation Car.

I'm a huge fan of "oval grill vegas" 71,72,&73. This car is very nice. The customized front end and rear taillights are a homerun. I usually don't like the tail light modification, but this looks awesome and fits the car. Very nice job.

The Mercury Capri is what they Vega should have been. Other than their rust doomed bodies, the V6 German built Capris from the early 70's were absolutely amazing in reliability and performance. Comparatively the Vega had a really awesome body design for the first three years from 1970-73 but were absolute TURDS mechanically compared to the Capri. So, as a Chevy guy, it always warms my heart to see an old early 70's Vega modded up with a V8.

Scottie my '72 Vega never sounded or looked like that...when it gave up the ghost I was very happy-nothing but trouble! A friend of mine bought it and put a Chevy 327 in it and it killed him. I warned him about beefing up the front end. Man, this Vega POPS! Love that RED!

My oldest sister own a Vega in 1978 that was hers first car my Dad bought it for her the only thing the engine kept breaking down my Pa like the body style and the size of it. Her's twin sister bought hers own car a 66 impala SS
