Hey! I was an au pair and a student during my 5 years at the Sorbonne (stayed with different families). Yes, you can manage both (speaking from my European perspective), it all depends on the family's schedule and your timetable that will need to be discussed. Wish you good luck!

In 2019 I already worked one year abroad in the US as an Au-pair which was amazing ... and well at the moment due to the pandemic my university is completely online for the summer semester so now I am considering going abroad again for maybe like 3 months or sth like that as an au pair again . Not sure wether I’ts really possible tho to balance university/aupair work at the same time ...difficult decisions mhm ... So this video really helps, thanks a lot ✨

Rendia Smith before you get your visa, you need to have matched with a family. We have a video that teaches you how to get your French au pair visa, but unfortunately visas are not being issued at the moment due to covid.

Dilyara Arynova unfortunately no… if you’re from outside the European Union you need to get a visa and sign a contract to be an au pair for at least a year
BuenaPetite tons of girls have had an awesome experience with this program, so it is super safe! If you’re nervous to find a family on your own, consider joining an agency!

After my au pair year can I switch to a student visa in France for the next year or do I have to go back to the states to get a student visa?

Unfortunately the program is only for international students. You can only be an au pair in a country that isn’t your own!
