I have a slightly different version of this build for my Sentinel, which uses Flamethrower instead of Incinerate. You Charge, get a power damage boost from it, then torch SEVERAL enemies in front of you, which you can then detonate with an Energy Drain. I also spec Energy Drain to also become a primer that I can detonate with Charge, to take care of heavily-shielded enemies. All-in-all, the synergy is pretty damn good, and the mixture of Charge and Flamethrower is super fun to use.
If you swap Charge with Throw with it's Rank 5: Duration, Energy Drain with Rank 5: Extended Drain and Incinerate Rank 6: Detonator, you get a 3 hit combo with 2 explosions. My advice is to do use either Energy Drain or Incinerate first, then the other, then, finally Throw, as the number of enemies that are affected by Biotics is the lowest. So: Against normal HP: Throw > Incinerate > Energy Drain (Incinerate first because the fire does more damage than the electrocution effect) Against Shields: Energy Drain > Incinerate > Throw (Energy Drain is effective against shields, so taking down the shields using ED then Incinerate to burn) Against Armor: Incinerate > Energy Drain > Throw
I would change the powers completely! My amazing Combo-Sentinel is Singularity, Energy-drain and Overload! It's amazing! Both Singularity and Overload is primers while Energy-drain and (surprisingly) Overload is detonators. That makes for great combos all the time!
Throw+incinerate both spec into double shots, setting up combos while having some mild CC. Third slot doesn't matter as much, overload for anti-shield, remnant VI for added damage, singularity for better CC, so on. getting life support in the team support passive for healing is still very nice but you can ditch it on low difficulties.
get the best power damage by crafting all your weapons augmented with Power Booster Augment & Reaction Optimizer Augment. these give 20% Extra Power Damage when you have a full clip and around 15% Extra Power Combo Damage. THEN SETUP Powers that can be Primed and also used as a Detonator(when upgraded first) such as INCINERATE, ENERGY DRAIN & A BIOTIC LIKE SHOCKWAVE or one that can only detonate like CHARGE. now you can can cause combo detonations no matter the power used, add this with Angaran Armor Crafted with combo or tech augments, the Sentinel Profile and a FUSION CHEST MOD SUCH AS THE Mod of Adrenaline OR Mod of Rapid Deployment. I DONT NEED TO FIRE A SHOT SOMETIMES WITH THIS BUILD. ALL POWER AND COMBO DAMAGE.
I'd really advise focusing more on the potential combos as the sentinel profile gives a big boost to combo damage. Getting energy drain and incinerate to where they can both do primes and detonations really increases your damage output. Good call on the cyro gauntlet as that's another way to do a combo. The third skill is a difficult choice, but shockwave, charge or lance ( with shield drain) are pretty good detonators. My favorite is singularity tho, you can easily get 2-4 combos before it expires and the combo will activate on any enemy in its radius despite if they have shields or armor. When I fight an architect tho I usually switch to lance or shockwave as it takes to long for singularity to reach its target. For weapons I went with a remnant assault rifle and a shot gun. I also carried around the widow sniper rifle and a favorite profile with tactical cloak but I almost never used them, too busy activating endless combos lol.
Really, really agree with you. I kind of cringed a little when I opened a Sentinel-based video and saw that ED hadn't been set up for (shield, even) priming, and Incinerate hadn't been set up for detonations either. I use a very similar build (with the above changes) and round it out with charge/shotgun most of the time, carrying around a sniper to ping away at things from range if needed. It's incredibly fun, and there's detonations and infinite shield everywhere. :)
I personally use singularity, incinerate, and energy drain. With the right upgrades to these abilities you can get tech combos fire combos and two biotic combos. To get the two biotic combos just throw singularity use incinerate wait for about 1 second then use energy drain and you'll get a second biotic combo and even that damage isn't enough detonate the singularity for massive damage to finish off the enemy or to send them flying and just finish their last bit of health off with your weapon. Build for recharge speed and get the upgrades for energy drain and incinerate to be both combo primers and detonators and you can get some insane damage. Especially if you invest in the biotic passive trees and the tech passives.
I think shockwave is a better choice than charge. Makes it more of a sentinel than a vanguard with tech powers. Also shockwave can be specced to both prime and detonate combos, as can both energy drain and incinerate. So you have three powers that all prime and detonate, meaning that just by using them in different orders you can cause three different kinds of combo detonations (electric tech explosion, fiery explosion, and biotic explosion).
I use a shield powered Lance as a universal detonator to two tech powers on varied profiles depending on which two techs fit the enemies around me. using energy drain or just bringing Cora and certain other squadmates with shield Regen abilities, coupled with the awesome passives in both tech and biotic and it's a frantic combo fest. I can send off like 10 Lance's in a row and many explosions prime new enemies for the endless rapid fire Lance's
My fav build is Sentinel profile with Incinerate, Shockwave and Energy Drain all specced to det and prime. Running with a Crusader, Black widow and Cryo gauntlet for extra combo potential. The build is mainly focused on close to mid range combo detonators. Sniper is for those occasions where there is room to sit back until the enemy closes in. Cora/Drack and Jaal as squadmates (purely for their characters, if I was min maxing for damage potential then Peebee should be there).
I currently use a modified version of your infiltrator build. I use tactical cloak, energy drain and pull. Pulling enemies amd then shooting their helpless bodies in the face or blowing them up with an energy drain is just amazingly strong and fun. I use maxed containment and barrier from the biotic tree. All tech passives are maxed and the soldier powers I only maxed sniper, shotgun and pistol and the one that allows you to take more guns. Its and amazing build if I do say so myself
How about annilhation instead of incinerate? If I remember correctly, doesn't it get an upgrade that restores your shields while it's damaging enemies? Just infini-shields all day every day
TheValiantBob I've been playing a vanguard charge build with annihilation and shock wave, if you spec well in barrier and the other 2 passive tree's in biotics (can't remember the names off the top of my head), you can get plenty Shields back
that works but the recharge penalty on annihilation is a pain for builds that use rechargetimers. this is the reason why shieldpowered biotic abilties tend to go better with annihilation (lance specifically.. but even nova can work although it can not detonate combos) speccing annihilation for less recharge penalty is a pain as well since you want as much radius as you can possibly get, altough you could get around that somewhat with passive skills and the right combat profile. the shield recharge on kill is somewhat redundant since you can craft your chestarmor with an augment that gives you 25% shields on kill.
You guys should make a charismatic power armor build for fallout 4. his/her role play concept could be someone who's goal is to collect as much power armor as possible. Maybe "The Collector" could be a cool name.
I find that the dhan shotgun is vastly superior to the piranha. My dhan hits for the upper 700s. With the piranha , it's auto fire, but you actually need to stay on the target to kill it. The dhan you just fire and forget about them. The same is true for the Ushior pistol. Also, both have very low magazine sizes, which actually helps with a sentinel or vanguard build. Get the augment that returns some shield every time you empty a clip and it's one more way back to protection. With the two of them and whatever third weapon you want, even with the armor augment that does "+50% power recharge, -30% weapon damage" you used here, you do so much damage that it just doesn't matter.
The dahn is more up front damage but more punishing on a miss. Generally you end up needing a second weapon and with the weight of the dahn that can be hard. The pirahna built with bio converter and seeking plasma is basically just a slightly shorter range better AR that fills everything except super long range
For sentinel I use incinerate and spec it to be a detonator and primer, energy drain and spec it to be a detonator and primer too, and use singularity as this is both a primer and detonator anyway ans I can comb tech, biotic and singularity is great for crowd control and small rooms/areas and literally combing all the time. I did insanity with this easy
I prefer singularity over charge. It allows for constant shield regen and sets up combos and acts as a good CC. I also use the fusion mod that reduces power cool down by 50% but reduces weapon damage by 15%. I can pretty much spam incinerate and energy drain which allows for near instant regen of shields on insanity.
Fhurste Friberg I believe its quest based(I have no clue what quest, sorry but Google can fix that). Also I have a cryopod perk that cuts negative effects of fusion mods in half. So without that perk its -30% weapon damage but the proper build can easily make up for it.
biggest complaint is that you don't go over what training to start with and i feel that can be extremely important to a character idk if you just pick quick play and didn't know that training was a thing or if you just don't do it for some other reason but for a build video I think it would be fairly important to include
literally doesn't matter. I started with the pure combat one, several hrs later I respected into biotics. the pure combat background help unlock specifics in the combat tree, but your beginning doesn't really matter
FudgeMuppet and please, can you test damage resistance in the game? How does it work? Is it damage reduction % compared to some set cap or there is some sort of damage threshhold too?
Hi, using the N7 armor, would Incinerate, singularity, energy drain work on insanity. Or would it be a waste using the N7 armor with two tech powers. Another option could b energy drain, singularity, Lance. Both using sentinel profile. What u think?
Great video! Do you have a suggestion which of your builds is best for insanity difficulty? I've searched them up, but the majority are either really bad quality or use a sniper rifle (im not goid with an S.R!)
Adding anti armour to a low damaging ability over making said ability a PRIMER and a detonator is a bit silly tbh, on insanity playthroughs you want control plus abilities combos do more damage
Hi Fugdemuppet, thrilled to see u on ME:A. Followed ur Fallout 4 builds last year and really enjoyed ur videos! If u were to make a fire combo build to spread as big fire combos as possible around on as many targets as possible in the shortest amount of time how would u do it? I really love the look of the fire combos and been thinking about trying to build for it with the sentinel profile. (Without Charge)
Tired of seeing charge being overused. But literally they best combo would be to set incinerate, shockwave, energy drain all as combo primers and detonators. combo damage is amazing when utilized with the sentinel profile. I also like to use lance singularity and energy drain. lance shield powered ability is more efficient under sentinel as well.
Killer Kell I think I have one of the better builds. I'm level 53. Profile: Vanguard (or Explorer) Combat: I've fully specced Shotguns, Assault Rifles, and Snipers. I've mainly focused on better clip size/damage. I specced Combat Fitness for Melee, which basically makes most enemies one hit kills will the Asari Sword. I've also specced Turbocharge, my first main ability. I went for as much damage and rate of fire, which tears enemies apart. For biotics, I specced into Charge and Nova. Charges recharge speed is like 2 seconds, so basically I can refill shields on command. Nova is shield powered, so that combo is just awesome. I've also put points into Singularity, just to get Vanguard to level 6. As for passives, I've focused on biotic damage and recharge speed, for obvious reasons. I don't think I've touched Containment, but it's not vital if I have. As for tech, I put points into the tree that gives 40% weapon weight. I can't remember exactly what I put points into, but it was mainly the passives that gave extra shields and shield regeneration. Weapons: 1: For shotgun I like the Crusader or the Piranha. The Dhan is apparently phenomenal, but I didn't like it for the 3ish levels I used it for. 2: I generally use my sniper before a big fight, to grab a few headshots or take down a few enemies. The Black Widow has and always will be the best sniper rifle imo. 3: For Assault Rifle, I use a Revenant, which goes great with Turbocharge. I usually use it to wreck the bigger enemies, like Fiends or Destroyers, with the rate of fire. 4: I also carry a pistol, which I rarely use, but I like carrying an SMG. Armor: This is honestly kind of a preference thing. I just go with what looks great, but here it is anyways. Helmet: N7 Helmet, buffs biotics Chest: Remnant Reborn Armor, buffs damage and DR, iirc Arms: Pathfinder Arms, also buffs damage Legs: Maverick Deadeye, buffs weapon damage and ammo capacity I would suggest full N7 if you want optimized biotics, but I really just like the looks of my set.
Killer Kell definitely tech based. with bio converter and team support regenerating your life. you are basically unkillable even on insanity. vanguard is more fun, but less effective on insanity imo. if we had a power wheel and could control our teams abilities with precision I'd say biotics, but bioware are jerks so they took the wheel away.
This looks more like an explorer build. You're not using the shield cost reduction bonus provided by the Sentinel profile, so what's the point of using it?
Personally i prefer the n7 crusader over the n7 piranha because the crusader has a better design and is more powerful than the piranha the lack of power for the n7 piranha is hidden by the auto fire function it makes it seem more powerful than what it really is
I like these builds but they are missing something essential. Where is that special FudgeMuppet story that I enjoy so much? They bring more character into it
The training in the beginning does not matter. It only gives you early access to abilities that normally require 9 points invested in the perk tree. For example if you chose adept in the beginning you can grab annihilation right away instead of having to put points in other biotics first. Since these builds are all done at higher levels it does not matter which training you chose, you'll have enough points for it. If you're starting fresh it may help to chose a training in the beginning that would give you earlier access to charge (charge is the only thing in this build that you can't get right away, but you can if you choose the training for it), or it may just be better to pick something where you start off with the tech powers. It's really all up to you, but in the long run the training in the beginning doesn't matter.
Energy drain, incinerate shockwave all set to both prime and detonate. Sniper for energy drain and incinerate. Best Sentinel build I know. Becomes kinda boring really, since it's so powerful.
So you play a Vanguard with Sentinel profile... I'm willing to bet my Vanguard with the actual Vanguard profile has more dps and survivability. Use charge, singularity and cloak. Focus on melee combo to instagib enemies every charge. And after every charge you're invisible, after every melee kill you're invisible. Take 0 damage while taking out entire areas of enemies. Can safely revive team members. To each his own.
Eric C What do you mean 'why'? You use flamethrower to prime your targets, then Biotic Charge to detonate them and use Tactical Cloak if you take too much damage.
Why are you making a build using only one profile? Maybe 4 sentinel profiles and so you can use both shockwave/incenerate combo as well as synergy charge with something else? After all you're investing all those points into both biotics and tech and all other profiles will just lag behind. Maybe if you'll eventually make ultimate build for level 123+ with all powers and profiles maxed out, it'll make sense to limiting yourself, but don't do it for no reason at all, go all out on this!
LoreShelter not for Fallout they don't. Hell, not even for Skyrim. They make the character fit into their own story that eventually leads into the game.
this even better then vanguard, it took care of everything and much more tanky with energy drain and tech armor. vanguard biggest problem was nova is shit and cant detonate crap, I'm soo disappointed playing vanguard for a while. there no 3rd skill in that build make any sense at all, annihilation is auto -75% cooldown, and rest just meh.
I have a slightly different version of this build for my Sentinel, which uses Flamethrower instead of Incinerate. You Charge, get a power damage boost from it, then torch SEVERAL enemies in front of you, which you can then detonate with an Energy Drain. All-in-all, the synergy is pretty damn good, and the mixture of Charge and Flamethrower is super fun to use.
With how much you guys use the Piranha in builds, the Atronach Stone might just get jealous.

Against Armor: Incinerate > Energy Drain > Throw
why do I feel like the n7 piranha is andromeda's version of the atronarch stone?
Nah mate, Charge is. If you have biotics, you go charge
No,I meant it like Fudgemuppet always pick the N7 piranha for the mass effect builds, and they always pick the atronarch stone.
Lmao so true
Next Skyrim build is gonna be “ and for the choice of standing stone, we have the n7 piranha”
Soldier Or Explorer next!

Explorer build please

I want to see an pure Adept/Biotic build next
They took the Sentinel from Jack of All Trades, Master of None to Jack of All Trades, Master of F**K YOUR S**T UP!
Good video. Been looking for a playstyle I like. I think this will be it.
You can mod the Dhan shotgun to recharge your shields every time you reload.with only two shots per clip thats a lot of recharge.
For Fallout 4 you could do a former Enclave Soldier build?
Surprised you didn't go tankier considering the Sentinel was kind of transformed into a "debuff tank" since 2.
Great build. Seems like a good one for insanity
My fav build is Sentinel profile with Incinerate, Shockwave and Energy Drain all specced to det and prime. Running with a Crusader, Black widow and Cryo gauntlet for extra combo potential. vanguard with shockwave, charge, and agis shield is great!
You get 30% shields back when something dies with annihilation.
that works but the recharge penalty on annihilation is a pain for builds that use rechargetimers.
this is the reason why shieldpowered biotic abilties tend to go better with annihilation (lance specifically.. but even nova can work although it can not detonate combos)
speccing annihilation for less recharge penalty is a pain as well since you want as much radius as you can possibly get, altough you could get around that somewhat with passive skills and the right combat profile.

Went with Lifting Shockwave. It's just too fun to detonate and send enemies flying with Charge.
Yeah I'm focusing on Annihilation, Lance and Energy Drain. Like being that more Sabotage based.
very nice build

My build is essentially combo detonation every second. The dps is ridiculous.
Nice didnt know about this mod, is it purchasable from any merchant or is it just RNG based?
Fhurste Friberg I believe its quest based(I have no clue what quest, sorry but Google can fix that). Also I have a cryopod perk that cuts negative effects of fusion mods in half. So without that perk its -30% weapon damage but the proper build can easily make up for it.
thanks man!
Fhurste Friberg Your welcome.
i'm gonna use N7 armour because i find the biotec damage more my speed plus i can always augment my gear to my play style

Shadewalker 13 Check their Vanguard.
Anonymous 9 I've already seen it, but thank you for confirming that i'd be a good build :)
Nice build :) I wonder what it would be like if you swapped Charge with Annihilation?

Would you recommend the m8 avenger assault rifle for this build
Hey i dont know if anyone else has asked but u guys should definently do Dark souls 3 builds
what beginning training would give a sentinel more of an edge starting off?
Tired of seeing charge being overused. Which would you guys say is the best build for mass effect o so far?
Killer Kell Engineer
Killer Kell I think I have one of the better builds. I'm level 53.
Profile: Vanguard (or Explorer)
Combat: I've fully specced Shotguns, Assault Rifles, and Snipers. I've mainly focused on better clip size/damage. I specced Combat Fitness for Melee, which basically makes most enemies one hit kills will the Asari Sword. I've also specced Turbocharge, my first main ability. Weapons:
1: For shotgun I like the Crusader or the Piranha. The Dhan is apparently phenomenal, but I didn't like it for the 3ish levels I used it for.
2: I generally use my sniper before a big fight, to grab a few headshots or take down a few enemies. The Black Widow has and always will be the best sniper rifle imo.

Armor: This is honestly kind of a preference thing. I just go with what looks great, but here it is anyways.
Helmet: N7 Helmet, buffs biotics
Chest: Remnant Reborn Armor, buffs damage and DR, iirc
Arms: Pathfinder Arms, also buffs damage
Legs: Maverick Deadeye, buffs weapon damage and ammo capacity
I would suggest full N7 if you want optimized biotics, but I really just like the looks of my set.
Infiltrator as always. It's even MORE powerful this go-around.
Did anyone else think that he sounded tired
i dont like charge it leaves you way to out in the open
fuck boy It also recharges shields to full, and it's recharge is basically instant.
They bring more character into it
Do you prefer this build or the Vanguard one ? At higher levels, including boss fights
Nice build but not my style anyway. I'm stuck with sniper infiltration build because scale issues at high level
My build uses cryo Beam instead of incinerate and lance instead of charge. Everything Else is very similar
In what order should I unlock each power/ability?
Guys you should remaster the glass warrior
Thumbs up if you want a adept build.
these builds never say what training they started out with and I'm confuse. does it not matter?
The training in the beginning does not matter. It only gives you early access to abilities that normally require 9 points invested in the perk tree. For example if you chose adept in the beginning you can grab annihilation right away instead of having to put points in other biotics first. Since these builds are all done at higher levels it does not matter which training you chose, you'll have enough points for it. If you're starting fresh it may help to chose a training in the beginning that would give you earlier access to charge (charge is the only thing in this build that you can't get right away, but you can if you choose the training for it), or it may just be better to pick something where you start off with the tech powers. It's really all up to you, but in the long run the training in the beginning doesn't matter.
thank you
Hey! Love your videos! Do one for Biotic Adept!
it sorta annoys me he didnt put primers and detonators on all skills to get different combos for different situations. but oh well up to them...
How viable are these builds on higher difficulties?
Vinny Sorrentino not very if you are referring to hardcore and insanity.
sentinel when modified from charge to singularity is the tankiest!!
Can you do a skyrim or fallout 4 build and great video and keep doing the great work
Energy drain, incinerate shockwave all set to both prime and detonate.
Personally I use Biotic Charge, Tactical Cloak and Flamethrower, more for fun than anything.
Fergal Harte Why?
Eric C What do you mean 'why'? You use flamethrower to prime your targets, then Biotic Charge to detonate them and use Tactical Cloak if you take too much damage.
Fergal Harte Yeah, but why when you can do it this way?
Eric C Flamethrower is (imo) I very satisfying to use, and I just find Tactical Cloak fun.
the ragdoll in this game is hilarious😂
Why are you making a build using only one profile? Maybe 4 sentinel profiles and so you can use both shockwave/incenerate combo as well as synergy charge with something else? After all you're investing all those points into both biotics and tech and all other profiles will just lag behind. Maybe if you'll eventually make ultimate build for level 123+ with all powers and profiles maxed out, it'll make sense to limiting yourself, but don't do it for no reason at all, go all out on this!
Do an explorer build I was hoping u do 1 2day cmon
Do a fallout 4 builds of The caracter Eli from The book of Eli movie
It would be awesome
LoreShelter not for Fallout they don't. Hell, not even for Skyrim. They make the character fit into their own story that eventually leads into the game.
Oh wow I just finished 1, 2, and 3 the last few months, the last one today. this is confusing lol.
INCENDINARY
Lance, flamethrower, and barricade for my sentinel class.
Do a soldier build!!!
this even better then vanguard, it took care of everything and much more tanky with energy drain and tech armor. vanguard biggest problem was nova is shit and cant detonate crap, I'm soo disappointed playing vanguard for a while. there no 3rd skill in that build make any sense at all, annihilation is auto -75% cooldown, and rest just meh.
Soldier
i like the shotgun assault rifle combo
But this is not insanity for sure
fallout build batman
whatup
First
