I just got this game for $30 on sale on the PS store and I've never played any mass effect before and I gotta say, I'm having a wonderful time playing it. I don't understand the hate towards the game (although I am playing after a lot of the bugs and animations have been fixed)
Oh i agree that it seems improved and overall better then the system in mass effect 1. Im just pointing out that soft cover isent a new concept in mass effect, but that every youtuber i have seen talking about it seems to have forgotten the system in mass effect 1 :P

I know it’s a totally different game (and no Shepard!) but Andromeda looks really fun. Good palate cleanser before I dive back in for a second run through the original trilogy! I just started this Mass effect Andromeda and I am loving the combat system the movement so much more fluent like this is a really really great game I don't know why It got such a bad rap I think it was because it wasn't Shepherd but I love this storyline and I know BioWare will connect them eventually people just need to calm down but this is a really great game the weapons the crafting system the new social system that there are a lot of great things in this that I hope they have in the new Mass effect like this jump jet was amazing the scanning loved it I love walking around scanning everything and the skill tree is freaking awesome they really really let you go your own way about how you upgrade and what you want to do like I would definitely rate Andromeda so far like least 8.5 out of 10

We pretty much love the look of everything about this game so far! The less restricted skill system in particular seems like a massive improvement from the original trilogy. Also, fields of mushrooms. Trippy as balls.
Still a good game in 2023. The negativity because of glitches, bad animations etc was taken too far. Some of the dialogue is brilliant. Story is ok even if kinda incipient - it leaves room to manuever for the role player.

Maybe you should put your glasses away, it's preventing you from seeing the reality. Sure, graphics are hardly important if the gameplay and the story are almost flawless, but that's hardly the case with Andromeda, isn't it? Anyway, say what you want, but the graphics, for a *2017* AAA game, they simply look rubbish. The same can be said about the animations, cutscenes, dialogue, characters, etc. What seems to be doing right is the general atmosphere. Will that be enough? We'll get to see when we will be able to play it. Just because someone dares to criticize the game it doesn't mean that he also hates the game, or that the game isn't any good afterall. Instead of being a blind little fan girl maybe it would be better to actually acknowledge some of the visible flaws with the game. If people would start being objective about the products/games and criticize where criticism is due we would see better products/games in the end. My opinion remains though. It's a bit unacceptable for a 2017 AAA game to have such bad graphics, textures and animations, poorly written characters, regardless of what game it is.

I'm sure this has been addressed but Soft Cover was a thing in Mass Effect 1. It worked EXACTLY the same way too, you needed your weapons drawn for you to use a surface for cover.
I'd like to add to "talk to everyone", but do it multiple times. The three scientists for instance, I talked to them and got some quests, and then talked to the Asari again and she had another quest for me immediately. Same with Tann(?). Talked to him, walked away, talked to him again and more things were available.

You gotta get rid of stuff that you wont use. I always get rid of my lessor armor and weapons. Plus, you can get supplies from recylcing them. and money for selling mods that you won't use. you will also have several duplicates of mods that you don't need.

After the announcement of Mass Effect 4 I heard rumors that there might be some possible tie-ins from Andromeda so I’ve decided to give this game a chance so here we go…
Despite it's flaws that it has. I can't wait to mix and mash up powers and weapon combos. My first combo would be Infiltrater cloak and Biotic dash, with a Krogan hammer. Anyone else have a good combo they'd like to share?
Astartes Master Remiel 10 hours isn't enough to judge a game on? I mean come on the game has some rather clear flaws its not a bad game by a longshot i did everything i possibly could of done in that time the gameplay was really smooth and well done. But the animations are unpolished and poorly done and there are frankly bizarre weird and inhuman facemodels and the customization to fix the faces does not fix it at all and should not even be in the game because of how useless it is. With such amazing gunplay and just all round Badass effects and sounds it leaves a really sour taste in your mouth and the Story that we got to experience was in my opinion was rather weak. now after the time we had to play and see from other people playing it the story could get alot better there could be a big twist or change and i seriously hope there is because to be honest if the story is. :SPOILERS: Oh we must find a new planet to live on and there are big bad aliens that don't like us oh no my dad is dead and he left me with his job and i have to find the new planet now while fighting these aliens Then i am going to fucking shoot myself anyway i enjoyed the game the anger over it really is over the top but this really should be renamed mass effect not really.
I never understood why they removed crouching after the first one. This game really needs it, I love Mass Effect series, but I agree with the crouching. I almost got turned off when you mentioned there is none. But let's see.
I am pretty much just going to stick with a biotic even though I can change classes. Will probably put put points into combat fitness from the soldier tree just so I can reduce weapon weight. Might have to give my biotic tactical cloak.
How is inventory management? I have a bad habbit of hoarding. I saw you have an item limit of 50 - is there a larger bank/vault/storage system on your main ship or anything? Like multiple helmets, causal outfits, preorder exclusives and all that...
Very nice video. One quick question though. When it comes to the "training" you receive when making your character, does this give a permanent bonus to that particular training of any sort? Or is it literally just allowing you to gain access to certain skills right after creation? For example if I want to eventually be more of a Vanguard but I choose Technician at the beginning, will that hinder my biotic/vanguard abilities at all? Also, when you buy a full respec do you get to choose your initial training again or is that permanent? This is kind of important since if you can't re-select your training you'd always be locked into having to spend those 9 extra points if you want to choose something totally different...

Tip There is a mission where you encounter a flying robot worm monster Make sure you are ready for the smoke before trying to fight him 😂😂 took me almost a hour 🥴 had to switch load out several times
It's awesome Mass effect 3 I mean the DLC they had in with the clone with Shepherd's clone you find a lancer rifle the only gun in the game that you don't need ammo for it just regenerates like in the original Mass effect it's freaking amazing I upgrade that gun and use that for the rest of the game just obliterated enemies I had about a hundred rounds I can just rip through
One problem I've noticed is that you do not to be at least semi-aware of where you land when you jump. In the first two hours of playing alone, I've got stuck 3 times. Once I was able to get unstuck by opening a menu but the others, I had to actually quit the game. As a side note, while I am someone who likes to explore, I don't try to do anything crazy. These always happened when jumping down and landing in a spot with between two rocky points or trying to start a jump and getting stuck on an outcropping. Since there is a lot of uneven terrain on the first planet, this is something anyone just starting out needs to be aware of.
It's seems the more complicated the graphics and geography in games get, the more chances it offers for people to get stuck somewhere. I remember getting stuck in Dragon Age: Inquisition, Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Horizon Zero Dawn and probably less memorably in many others. Fast-traveling helped me get out of all theses situations if i remember correctly. I hear that MEA has fast-travel, but is it not enabled this early, or why did you have to quit out to get unstuck? Getting the game in 3,5 days, so i'm interested to know this...
To be honest, I actually never got stuck in those other games you mentioned although I have heard that others did. I have gotten stuck in MMOs before, though, and the /stuck command always got me out of it, but there's no such command here. As early in the game as this happened, there was no fast travel yet, and neither dash nor the jet pack helped in the slightest to get me unstuck. This first planet we go to has lots of very uneven and rocky terrain and just walking or running did not cause me to get stuck. It only happened on rare occasions that I either came down from a jump in a crack between two objects or got my feet caught in beginning a jump. I never had it happen more than once in the same spot and could never see an actual crack unless I happened to be stuck in it. If there had been an enemy onscreen that I could have dashed toward that might have worked, but there weren't any at those times and the dash doesn't work unless you aim yourself at an enemy. I hope this answers your question. It really doesn't happen often and should not affect anyone's decision on whether or not to purchase the game. Even knowing this would happen, I would have still gladly preordered without giving this a second thought.
So, I have a question about the "Explore" tip. How likely are you to run into areas that are, for lack of a better word, too higher-level than your group. Like, could I possibly just be wondering around, only to run into the giant metallic thresher maw that I'm TOTALLY not ready for?
Since it looks like you've been in the game for a good portion of time, I have to ask. Is the Vindicator making a return? I haven't seen it anywhere, and it was my favorite weapon from the previous ME games.
how are u doing that shoulder charge looking thing? when i first saw it, you did it in air so i assumed u just got melee while airborne, but u did it on ground level too

.ENGLISH PROFICIENCY Mass effect 2 is considered one of the greatest games of all time. And they had 6 years to develop this game which is twice as long as they had for me 2. Bioware has been responsible for some of the most iconic girls in rpg history. You can't blame people for being a bit cynical after EA bought them out and ruined everything.
I don't know, I played 3 and uniinstalled after 15 minutes, the combat, animations and handling of character were just atrocious, this one, by contrast, looks like a real badass game.

The uv work on some of those rocks are pretty nasty, which isn't a problem in some games, but here you get a close up view of those things.

Despite it's flaws that it has. I can't wait to mix and mash up powers and weapon combos. My first combo would be Infiltrater cloak and Biotic dash, with a Krogan hammer. Anyone else have a good combo they'd like to share?

I mean come on the game has some rather clear flaws
its not a bad game by a longshot i did everything i possibly could of done in that time the gameplay was really smooth and well done.
But the animations are unpolished and poorly done and there are frankly bizarre weird and inhuman facemodels and the customization to fix the faces does not fix it at all and should not even be in the game because of how useless it is.
With such amazing gunplay and just all round Badass effects and sounds it leaves a really sour taste in your mouth and the Story that we got to experience was in my opinion was rather weak.
now after the time we had to play and see from other people playing it the story could get alot better there could be a big twist or change and i seriously hope there is because to be honest if the story is.

Oh we must find a new planet to live on and there are big bad aliens that don't like us oh no my dad is dead and he left me with his job and i have to find the new planet now while fighting these aliens
Then i am going to fucking shoot myself anyway i enjoyed the game the anger over it really is over the top
but this really should be renamed mass effect not really.

I never understood why they removed crouching after the first one. This game really needs it, I love Mass Effect series, but I agree with the crouching. I almost got turned off when you mentioned there is none. But let's see.

I am pretty much just going to stick with a biotic even though I can change classes. Will probably put put points into combat fitness from the soldier tree just so I can reduce weapon weight. Might have to give my biotic tactical cloak.
How is inventory management? I have a bad habbit of hoarding. I saw you have an item limit of 50 - is there a larger bank/vault/storage system on your main ship or anything?

Very nice video. One quick question though. When it comes to the "training" you receive when making your character, does this give a permanent bonus to that particular training of any sort? Or is it literally just allowing you to gain access to certain skills right after creation?
For example if I want to eventually be more of a Vanguard but I choose Technician at the beginning, will that hinder my biotic/vanguard abilities at all?
Also, when you buy a full respec do you get to choose your initial training again or is that permanent? This is kind of important since if you can't re-select your training you'd always be locked into having to spend those 9 extra points if you want to choose something totally different...
This looks epic like I predicted but i don't know how I feel about replenishing health at supply packs instead of medigels...

So I'm a visually impaired gamer for Xbox one and hopefully soon to be PC as well I wanted to know the setting for those of us who like myself can only see with one eye and only see when the game is not dark like the game Alien Isolation or other very dark games and Graphics also sub titles I don't think that I'm at least aware of Bioware or EA would know or help those of us disabled gamers across all platforms I don't know if they'd listen to one person with Graphics,lighting wnd sub titles or other ways to improve one's gaming experience in Mass Effect Abdominal I'm not doubting either Bioware or EA just don't know if they would or were able to help those of us disabled gamers I'm trying to get myself an Xbox and internet to be able to get a head start but doubt I'll get it in time but I'll enjoy the adventures I'll go on in as the Pathfinder in the Andromida Galaxy 😊 sorry if my commet was long I'm sick currently

It's awesome Mass effect 3 I mean the DLC they had in with the clone with Shepherd's clone you find a lancer rifle the only gun in the game that you don't need ammo for it just regenerates like in the original Mass effect it's freaking amazing I upgrade that gun and use that for the rest of the game just obliterated enemies I had about a hundred rounds I can just rip through

One problem I've noticed is that you do not to be at least semi-aware of where you land when you jump. In the first two hours of playing alone, I've got stuck 3 times. Once I was able to get unstuck by opening a menu but the others, I had to actually quit the game. As a side note, while I am someone who likes to explore, I don't try to do anything crazy. These always happened when jumping down and landing in a spot with between two rocky points or trying to start a jump and getting stuck on an outcropping. Since there is a lot of uneven terrain on the first planet, this is something anyone just starting out needs to be aware of.
It's seems the more complicated the graphics and geography in games get, the more chances it offers for people to get stuck somewhere.
I remember getting stuck in Dragon Age: Inquisition, Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Horizon Zero Dawn and probably less memorably in many others.
Fast-traveling helped me get out of all theses situations if i remember correctly.
I hear that MEA has fast-travel, but is it not enabled this early, or why did you have to quit out to get unstuck? Getting the game in 3,5 days, so i'm interested to know this...
To be honest, I actually never got stuck in those other games you mentioned although I have heard that others did. I have gotten stuck in MMOs before, though, and the /stuck command always got me out of it, but there's no such command here. As early in the game as this happened, there was no fast travel yet, and neither dash nor the jet pack helped in the slightest to get me unstuck. This first planet we go to has lots of very uneven and rocky terrain and just walking or running did not cause me to get stuck. It only happened on rare occasions that I either came down from a jump in a crack between two objects or got my feet caught in beginning a jump. I never had it happen more than once in the same spot and could never see an actual crack unless I happened to be stuck in it. If there had been an enemy onscreen that I could have dashed toward that might have worked, but there weren't any at those times and the dash doesn't work unless you aim yourself at an enemy. I hope this answers your question. It really doesn't happen often and should not affect anyone's decision on whether or not to purchase the game. Even knowing this would happen, I would have still gladly preordered without giving this a second thought.
So, I have a question about the "Explore" tip. How likely are you to run into areas that are, for lack of a better word, too higher-level than your group. Like, could I possibly just be wondering around, only to run into the giant metallic thresher maw that I'm TOTALLY not ready for?
Since it looks like you've been in the game for a good portion of time, I have to ask. Is the Vindicator making a return? I haven't seen it anywhere, and it was my favorite weapon from the previous ME games.

This game is pretty much 10 times better than the previous ones in every single respect, yet it attracts more hate than the other ones combined. What the actual fuck?
.ENGLISH PROFICIENCY Mass effect 2 is considered one of the greatest games of all time. And they had 6 years to develop this game which is twice as long as they had for me 2. Bioware has been responsible for some of the most iconic girls in rpg history. You can't blame people for being a bit cynical after EA bought them out and ruined everything.
I don't know, I played 3 and uniinstalled after 15 minutes, the combat, animations and handling of character were just atrocious, this one, by contrast, looks like a real badass game.

i.e. the same animation models as used in me 3. again I hope this is a good game. but so far, especially with biowares shakey history since ea's hostile take over, people are skeptical with good reason. So far the animation looks ugly. hopefully the rest of tbe game will be better

they use 2 different teams for dragon age and Mass effect, so while dragon age was in development so was mass effect andromeda. they worked on them simultaneously
