    Really enjoy the series, kinda would like some input on where to go next! FMIC or flex fuel? Daily driver at 22k miles a year and definitely beat on this thing.
    RV6 ceramic DP, 27won intake, borla type-s exhaust, ktuner v2 w/ tsp stage1 map 3 90% of the time currently.

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the FMIC would be my vote. I think I'd rather start with feeding the engine with consistent and cooler temps than doing a FlexFuel system. Both are going to be great mods, but I think I'd go that route first. I don't think you'd be wrong to go the other way though. You're sort of doing the same thing in a way. One is chemically cooling the intake air and one is using air. Obviously, the flexfuel is going to do more than just cool. If you do flexfuel first, you're still stuck with a crappy intercooler though.

Also one sexy new Caruse Design Aero Flap coming out this week that I can't wait to receive next week! • @Its_Vheissu
    @Its_Vheissu 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Did the clutch trip any sensors? I know if the flywheel is too light it can cause a CEL. I hope you make an updated or review on the clutch after putting some miles on it. Awesome video and keep up the great content on the Si, would love to see more.

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Clutchmasters twin disc tripped the misfire codes, the ACT hasn't yet. I don't suspect that it will because even though it's lighter than stock, it's much heavier than the Clutchmasters twin disc flywheel.

    What are your thoughts on the ACT street (organic) kit vs this 6 puck option?

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It really depends on usage and torque rating. If you want the most driveable and you're not necessarily taking it to the track all the time or doing launches often, then the street performance kit is fine, as long as you're within the proper range of torque they suggest. The organic material can't handle heat as well as the ceramic.

    Are there any mechanical issues that can arise from eliminating the dual mass for something like this kit? I don’t want to break anything and I don’t really understand the potential ramifications.

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There aren't any mechanical issues that arise very often just from switching to a clutch like this. You might get more noise in the cabin and your pedal will feel different. But not any actual issues. You are being a little bit tougher on the transmission but usually something like this doesn't do too much harm if you're still using it in a daily driver sort of way.

    I was just like you were on the beginning of the video, stressed out. I got a 18 Si and the factory clutch was gone completely and I wanted to get a ACT but nobody had and I needed the car to work, that’s my only car. So I ended up buying a CM FX400 6puc sprung complete kit and I hate this clutch. All the warnings I got from people to stay away from CM because it chatters a lot it’s true. This dam clutch chatters a lot and is a pain in the ass to drive. Unfortunately I don’t have money to replace it so I’m stuck with it and I don’t enjoy driving my car. So for everybody out there from my personal experience stay away from CM, sucks.
