I remember listening to the murder trial of a baby and felt so weird that the forensic specialist that did the autopsy had such an asmr voice lol

She has such a lovely manner. Not just a soothing voice, but delightful smile and a genuine warmth. Was surprised to discover that she has since retired. At the time this video was recorded, she was 68 years old. Man, I want to know what her secret is, because if I hadn't checked I'd have sworn she was still in her 40's.

you ain't kidding! Jury duty was such an inconvenience for me. Had to take off work and school because the courthouse was a 40 minute drive (without traffic). I worked mornings and had college in the evening. Work was required to give me the time off, but I didn't get PTO. I was picked for trial too.
I honestly wouldn't mind jury duty, if it didn't feel like such a punishment. I'd even volunteer for it, if I could plan the date and make arrangements.

I got picked for a trial when I had jury duty. Even without any soothing voices, I was still fighting for my life to stay awake. It was soooo boring.
We had to determine the amount of $ for a car accident where a garage truck collided with a normal car. Non fatal, but driver of the car had back pain.
I got picked for the trial at the first cattle call of the day. Found out at lunch that everyone else was sent home at noon 😂

Can I tell jury selection that I SUFFER from ASMR? Like… I’m really, legitimately getting sleepy listening to her even after my cup of coffee and walking around outside for a few hours.
I feel like doctors or some kind of health care people need to be able to diagnose patients with ASMR so when it’s my time to report for jury selection I can give a real doctors note excusing me from serving because I wouldn’t be able to stay awake!
the one time I had jury duty and was picked for trial, I was never given a chance to disclose any of the stuff that people always say will get you excused. The only thing they asked is if we knew any of the people involved. Womp

Last night the Asmr video became part of my dream. In the dream, the girl speaking on the Asmr video was my girlfriend 🤣.
However, in my dream, when she talked I got the impression that she was not talking to me. As if she was giving a lecture!

Struggled with insomnia since my first year at university (which was 1997). I’ve tried all kinds of remedies for my insomnia, and for whatever reason these kinds of videos seem to help quite a bit.

Why is she asking the jurors what their “impression” of the defendant is? Their impressions could be misjudged or misinterpreted and thus not lead to a fair sentence
It's to weed out people who can't be impartial.
it's to determine which potential jurors may have prejudice regarding the case, and allow the attorneys (or judge) to strike them from the pool.

I can't get passed the light sentence Chu handed down. She has a nice voice but obviously didn't keep an open mind she requested from the jurors. 2 years is BS.
It's very hard to prove that what happened was the result of malice and not incompetence. If it's just incompetence, it shouldn't be treated the same as intentional homicide.
She mistook her taser for her pistol. She’s a prime example of how female cops are more dangerous than men. Because they can’t handle a fight they resort to tasers or lethal force quicker than men
1:18:15 - Juror 10 is exactly like me! I felt exactly the same about both parties; don’t like either of them, don’t trust either of them, I could not put that aside for the trial. No way. But I would be too scared to say I don’t trust cops right in front of cops. I don’t even like saying it here online because if I encounter a cop, no matter how innocent I am, I feel that if they find these types of statements online, they would come after me even more unfairly simply because they were offended. But I would really be afraid to say that in person, because now they know my name, they know what I look like, they know where I am, and they would be right there in the building able to follow me out. Terrifying. I wonder how many jurors feel similarly, and thus lied by saying they trust police.

well, her lenient sentence in this case created quite the uproar in the crowd to which you are probably referring to as "woke." They are not big fans of her. They actually protested at her home. The defendant served 16 months and has already been released 🤷♀️

That's why you are not a judge and nobody would want you to be one. The job of a judge is to remain impartial. This is not a lynch mob. Your feelings doesn't matter. The law that matters. 3rd party jurisdiction, so not revenge is taken, but justice served for the accused, the victim, and society. If you don't like it, quit the field.
