this is the first time i've ever heard anyone connect nose angle to the relationship of the wrist to the elbow; i'll have to experiment with that idea a bit in the field this week. would also love to know if Ricky does anything different with his grip for upshots. otherwise very cool to see his thought-process for these approaches.
@@bigjim4x I cringe a bit whenever touring pro’s try to teach average audience when it comes to sidearm. Ricky has very perfect head-to-hip centering with great hip/knee movement when he did those upshots (as taught in ball golf form) Which keeps the rotational torque off his elbow. An average player is likely swinging rotationally and not centered so when they trying to mess with elbow positioning it will lead to inevitable tendon strain in the tennis elbow/golfer’s elbow category.
He does change the grip on forehand, but not on backhand. On the Forehand normally, his fingers are together pressed against the rim. On upshots though, his fingers are spread out, which he says helps him with angle control.

I picked up a few slammers, I also throw harps as well. I wonder if Ricky will stop throwing the Harp or if there's still some situations he may use one.

My third throw after getting this disc was a throw in from 100-150 feet.

Yes they are different. Ricky designed Sockibomb slammer to be "Classic slammer top with Harp bottom" Non-sockibomb slammers have a bead.
