I think as long as the people who own it next are cool he doesn't care. That's how I'd feel. As long as it's not bothering me who cares? 🤷♀️
Same situation happened across the street, the guy who owned the land the driveway was on was nice about it and ignored it. He moved away and the new home owners, who found out after 8 months, were not nice about it.
The land owners offered to sell the land at a marked up value as long as the driveway owners covered the service costs with the city handling the property paperwork. The driveway owners stupidly refused, were taken to court, and now have to cover costs of removing portions of the driveway, removing sections of concrete patio, reinstalling the fence and reimbursing the land owners for property repairs.
They're also left with a 3 foot wide "driveway" and a pool thats 2 feet away from their fence. My neighbors do not talk to each other besides argue about parking cars in front of each others' houses. I'd rather settle things with people I know than people I don't.
I thought she ran when she found out. He can't make someone who isn't there move anything.

When I first moved into my house I didn't like that my neighbors fence was so close to my paved driveway . Before I said anything to them about moving the fence I checked our property lines . It seems that part of my driveway is actually on their property . I kept my mouth shut and became a good neighbor .

As a black man, that face enough Karens in my life and was called everything in the book and some that were made up... I had to tip my hat to a few comments because it was pretty clever.
I know your pain and I wish there was a pill that we can make these Karens take so they can realize they're acting crazy. I truly believe they're adding something to the fast-food industry that's making people lose common sense.

Gee, semi rural area. A bit of farming, some light industrial, some off roading, some horses and other live stock. That's normal activity and people live far enough from their neighbours to not bother them. And to top it off they had a dividing fence. That was not a nice neighbour.

It is very important to have visible defined property borders with long lasting fences. I never liked chain linked fencing but that is the most long lasting accurate and easiest to repair fencing you can buy. I'm about to dump a couple of grand on some to define my property right now. It really stinks that people simply cannot respect other peoples property. They just were never raised right by their parents. Damn sad when you go through it.
I would've denied her access to her driveway that ran through my property.

We've lived in our house for almost 15 years and have had the best luck with our neighbors. I really hope that our next door neighbors on both sides never move. Having to deal with garbage like her every day would be a nightmare.
9ft block wall on one side 4 ft retaining wall with 6-foot block wall on top of it. I can't see my neighbors or hear them but I love them. Block walls make lovely Neighbors.
Surprise he didn't file a restraining order against her because with that kind of harassment I wouldn't hesitate once in filing one.
my neighbor cut his grass at our property line and I saw a few flakes of his grass come on to my property and I just went Berserk and ran out of the house and put his grass back on his own property.

I would have her move it so that she would have to spend the money before she even tried to sell the house. People like her are the problem in America right now.. .THEY try to tell you what you can or cannot do on YOUR property. You are much nicer than I would have been.
Amen brother! The best neighbors are the ones that are chill and actually talk WITH you about any potential concerns instead of the way Karen did it. All of my neighbors are cool, older veterans and hunters so we all hang out and talk about our plans for the year. So much easier to get along that way.
Yep,,, I bought a new zero turn mower years ago. So I cut three of my neighbor lawn. Plowed the snow in their driveways. Every Christmas there were a couple cases of beer on the porch! Come to fourth of July, neighbor ask me if I mind he has fireworks at his party. Told him ,more the better, he was concerned because I have a pool. That's why I have a scimmer! Definitely good , to have good neighbors.

The old man moved two years ago. Now we have Mr and Mrs personality next door. I'm in my 50s they can't be more than 28 30 years of age. Two years now and his wife hasn't even said a word to us. I'll get a wave 👋 from him once in awhile that's it.

The police probably didn't want to come out. They do not like to be caught up in these neighbor grudge fights. Best keep them neutral or even on your side for when you go on the offense. At that time, the police 's help will serve you well.

I live in a fairly typical subdivision. After living there for about 5 years, I got new neighbors next door. Somehow, they decided that of the 35 feet of yard between our two houses, 25 feet of it was their property. The woman really didn't believe me when I told her it was about halfway between the 2 houses. I had to show her the property pins to convince her. By the way, she knew that I'm a surveyor.
Be happy that they believed the pins. Many of those people do not know what a pin is, and will not believe that the pins have anything to do with property lines.

Sometimes good things come from people who are just total pains in the assets. To bad she couldn't take the fact that she F'Ked up, because I'm sure that is the reason why she left. But hey, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Time to either cut that driveway off that the neighbor was using as a easement, or fence it in. Don't want her trying to make the next buyer think it's part of her property. Best of luck!!!!
You need to show video of her to police, and report her behavior, hire an attorney to get her restraining order served. Ignore her and call police on her.
That doesn’t look like a neighborhood and I don’t think you have an HOA but you might as well the way she’s acting. We’ve been there a couple of times in our married life. Pain in the butt! Best of luck to ya!
The best thing you can do anytime you have a property line dispute is get it settled if you are being encroached on and let it go by not doing anything that property can become theirs free and clear.

When I bought my house in a semi-rural subdivision, I found that it came with an ordinance-Nazi neighbor. He would fly a powered parasail over the area, checking for non-compliant septic systems. I had the pleasure of watching an ice-burdened tree snap and rip the electric line off his house. He moved a couple of years later, and I have no complaints about any of my neighbors.

Yelled and screamed called me all sorts of names found out her driveway is on my property and she now only comes outside to go to work. Doesn’t mow lawns or anything. Why would her driveway be on his property ..something not right here .
Back in time, there were neighbors there that didn't get upset with the neighbor trespassing. In fact they would allow it just because they were neighbors and friends. That is how that driveway came to be over the line.

How hard is it to understand a property line? There usually straight you can just eye ball it from stake to stake. First thing put in a fence.
Since she filed a protection order against you, and her driveway is on your property, then she can no longer use her (your) driveway as it would have her intentionally putting you and your property in her personal space. I saw something like this once in Wyoming. It was funnier than hell!
There's probably an easement that allows her access to the driveway
@@armandovega2100 even with the easement she wouldn't be allowed to use it. The easement would pass along to next buyer if she sold her property though.
@@markcash2 Why wouldn't she be able to use it? That's what an easement is for. There are many instances where many properties share a common driveway through an easement. Of course were just speculating in this instance that there is one in this case.

I had a neighbor who refused to accept property lines, even after we had them pinned. They were cooking and selling drugs too. I finally sold out and left them to be someone else's problem.
Came out 170 grand ahead.

You’re lucky they are pulling the record of your property line for you without making you get a survey. Many states and counties will make the homeowner interested in proving his property line go and get a survey so that the towns can have a taste of the $ involved in any certification or BS charges.
I would file a lawsuit against her for harassment and whatever else the lawyer can come up with. 😮
