In this FL Studio 20 tutorial I am going to show you how to make the weeknd style retro synthwave in 20 minutes. We are going to create this from scratch so you can follow along and learn some new tips and tricks. I will show you how I make the melodies, chords with some basic music theory as well. It never fails to amaze me how quickly you come up with melodies. Could you please do a tutorial on that?

You need to learn about scales and chord progressions. Once you have chord progression you picking up single notes from chords and put them on the pianoroll along with interesting rythm. Rythm in melodies is even more important than amount of notes. Its pretty easy just need to know the scale.
