I always found that Legacy of the Hidden Blade focused on the zones that don’t have you do much in them for the main storyline. Almost every other place has you visit at some point but those ones don’t if I remember correctly.
Yes, you're right. The three areas that you explore in Legacy of the First Blade, are fairly underused in the base game. You can go there, but there is not much to do compared to most of the other regions. Legacy of the First Blade fleshes out those areas with much more to do.
@@BenChurchill76 thank you. It’s been a while so I couldn’t remember but I thought that’s how it was. I remember going to them in base game for the territory battle and it just being empty which felt especially egregious for Macedonia.
@@thomasleonardis711 Yup, you're right. In the base game all three of those areas are fairly devoid of content. There aren't any major quests there, so they must have planned the DLC to take place there so they left it a bit more boring.

It was an interesting move to drop the two Odyssey story packs as three individual chapters, and certainly helps them to stand out from the DLC of the other games at least in format. It’d have given the developers a bit more time, only needing to get a third of the DLC done to meet a deadline whilst having the opportunity to see what did and didn’t work for Episode 1 and work that into Episode 3.
57:33 Huh? I literally always play these levels as Jacob. In fact they're the only levels I like playing a Jacob. The game even used to have a Sherlock Holmes costume for him to wear until Ubisoft pulled an Ubisoft and made the costume disappear from your account without monetarily compensating you for your lost purchase.
I can agree its a solid list even if my opinon on some placements differ. My favorite DLC's was The Fate of Atlantis. I loved the crazy abilities and Elysium, Underworld and Atlantis were all stunning. Having it deal with the Isu was cool too. Curse of the Pharohs was another favorite. I liked the Wrath of the Druids and Seige of Paris a bit too but found Dawn of Ragnarok super underwhelming. Glad i got it on sale, but then again I waited and got most of these DLC on sale.
The Lost Archive for Revelations is indeed included on PSN, but only for Essential and Premium Users who have access to Ubisoft Classics that include all Assassin's Creed games
I agree on placing The Lost Archive at the lowest. while I did like the premise of us learning more about the assassins in modern times, the trophies involved are what made me dislike it so much. 2 trophies that come to mind are making it across the river without falling in or dying once and the other is to finish the enter the animus sequence without dying or falling. for the river part, you have to be patient and get lucky but I eventually did it. as for the enter the animus sequence, it kept annoying me to the point that I looked up a way to see if it was possible to skip in entirely and luckily there was a glitch to do just that
Natakas/Neema is largely there to allow the Eagle Bearer a bloodline and to be fridged (killed off to motivate the protagonist). We don’t even get to see Kassandra/Alexios as a proper parent since they just hold a baby or see it off with Darius for an eventual Aya cameo. Considering that Vacation, canonically the last time Kassandra is in Greece in the Ancient period, has her ponder going to Egypt (where she leaves Herodotus’s scroll at the Library of Alexandria, the dev team revisiting more Origins assets to show Kassandra visiting her bloodline had potential.
I'm one of those weirdos who actually enjoyed the platforming puzzles of the Revelations dlc. Not only was it a good story, but felt like a chill change of pace. Didn't take long to get through either.
Great video, man! to me, Fate of Atlantis is the best DLC of the entire series. It is just majestical, beyond imagination, specifically, the actual Atlantis. Followed by Wrath of the Druids. And completing the podium with Freedom Cry.
Freedom Cry is #1 for me. It's the only one I know of that is a stand-alone dlc. You don't need to own Black Flag to play it. I remember in 2014 when I first got a PS4 I had spent all my money on the console and only had enough to download Freedom Cry for like $10. I played it for so long that by the time I was done I had freed about 5000 slaves LOL.
Legacy of the First Blade is my favorite Assassin's Creed DLC, and is my favorite part of Odyssey. I was shocked to learn that I am clearly in the minority with my opinion of it. I loved both the story and gameplay. I personally totally understood the relationship between Kassandra and Natakas, and don't understand at all why he is hated to the degree that he is. Overall, I think it's a great DLC for a great game.
I didn't mind the Natakas storyline personally, but I imagine for most people it just didn't fit with the version of Kassandra they had formed in their heads. Always a danger when writing RPG stories, I think if the base game had less choices and more of a set narrative, the reception of the dlc would have been better. Mind you, the end of that dlc has a cut scene that shows the Pyramids of Giza being constructed in 420 BC, so it's far from perfect 😅
Honestly to me this DLC and Fate of Atlantis did Odyssey so much justice. I was really meh on the base game but it’s DLCs just got me so intrigued. Natakas and Darius were cool characters tbh and the story was so captivating
Here's one thing relating to DLCs I've discovered. While we all know that Mirage started off as a DLC storyline for Valhalla but it eventually became it's own game. Well did you know that Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag also started off as a DLC storyline for Assassin's Creed III? Yep, in fact, you can see many similarities between Mirage and Black Flag, even though yes, both have different gameplay styles and different storylines, I mean in turns of development history and striking similar set-up ideas, both started off as a prequel DLC storyline for the previous game in the series where the main character is a character we already know about from that last game, but it eventually became it's own game and the game became beloved by fans. Might wanna talk about this for a future video.
My personal favorite has to be Valhalla's Siege of Paris. It had some great assassinations and boss fights, a beautiful world, and excellent characters
Could you do a second video on all the bonus level DLCs, both ranking them and explaining you how to get hold of them. Here's (what I think is) a list, though your research may turn up more: ACII Palazzo Medici Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari Arsenale di Venezia Brotherhood Copernicus Conspiracy Revelations Vlad the Imapler's Prison [Rhodes] - Mediterranean game only. Got a feeling that Ubisoft weirdly didn't make this available in Remastered edition, which frankly should have had everything, no exceptions. If so, let's shame them into releasing a very minor patch. AC3 The Hidden Secrets Pack Benedict Arnold Memories Liberation Connor's Way / A Different Point of view Black Flag Black Island Mystery Island Sacrifice Island Rogue The Armour of Sir Gunn The Siege of Fort de Sable Unity Secrets of the Revolution Syndicate A Long Night out on the Town Streets of London Origins Here comes a New challenger Ambush at Sea Secrets of the First Pyramids Trails of the Gods Odyssey The Blind King Secrets of Greece Lost Tales of Greece Those who are treasured Valhalla The Way of the Berserker A Fated Encounter Mirage The Forty Thieves
I think wrath of the druids should be ranked higher. Because it is easily the money farm. After you collect all the trading post and upgrade them. What you do is a you play in England or anywhere else inside the game and go back to Ireland about every 30 minutes and they will give you max rewards which you can sell for 600 silver. Also, it gave us like six new armors.
The lost archive is included in the ezio series remaster (in revelations, the trophies are merged) It might be a remaster but you can still get o some objectives by getting pushed out of bounds.
22:10 actually you are wrong there is a dlc also called liberation and it also has the same character and it's basically 3 short objectives that you can finish in less than a half an hour
@@TheHiddenOne690 I know liberation is a separate game, I still have it on my ps vita but as I said there is a short dlc as well I think it's called episode Avelin in the AC3 remaster instead of liberation because of the confusions with the vita title
You know I would love to see different countries for ac. Im glad they made shadows bc of its different scenery. I feel like that my only issue with ac itself.
I font know why People font like AC 2 DLC i finished It pretty quickly and I saw A LOT of mistakes during gameplay on the video. I pretty Mich utilised other weapons and other styles like the Noble on the balcony, i just climbed it hang there and waited for him to cine close. After which I killed him, doctor was easy as well i blend into the crowd i shot him. IT was over pretty quick. Only mission which was problem was the damn boat.
That explains a lot actually I never remembered sequence 12 and 13 from when I was a kid and when I completed the game a month ago on pc the pacing felt weird playing them
And the da Vinci dlc in brotherhood confused me as I got to the mission with the lady were they get a bit steamy 😅 then the next mission I rescued the women in prison and kidnapped her, I think the dlc should have been locked to the sequences they are attached too 🤔
I think the AC2 DLCs would work so much better if they could only be accessed after the main story - you get the more demanding combat of Forli and the less forgiving stealth of Bonfire as 'endgame' tests, capped off by the Ezio final speech, which is a more conclusive end to AC2 as a game by itself
Forli is at least easy enough to just rush it. But Bonfire with all the "don't get detected" while you have 300 enemies and very little ways to kill them silently without all the other enemies being able to see you is just cancer.
yeah, the whole forced romance in the first blade was weird considering the base game was all about choices. Just felt like it was shoehorned in because people complained odyssey had nothing to do with AC
10:28 I honestly have a favorable memory of this mission. For the first time it seemed like I had to genuinely play like a assassin. The mild frustration and restarts gave way to a slower and more observational and clinical pace. It was the way I tried to play most of the game initially. But I do like your solution of "gathering intelligence", something that I enjoyed so much in the first game, but was sadly left to flounder in favor of more... generic (?) gameplay mechanics.
Solid list and understand your opinion of DLCs but I disagree with some of the DLCs you did rank and AC origins hidden one is my number one favorite DLC
Three Assassin's Creed games I would love to see 1 join the Mongolian Empire 2 during Alexander's the great Conquest of Persia 3 set during the peak of the Roman Empire..
For me the best is Atlantis, I am a sucker for Ancient Greek gods and culture and the 3 worlds and characters were amazing, objectively I can see why it isn't as high as other ones, but for me it is the best. And props for including dreadful crimes, I also think it is highly underappreciated tho isnt it just content pack? Idk if it is fair to compare it to full DLCs...
It's a shame they did such a bad job at the Last Maharaja DLC because Duleep Singh is such an interesting (and tragic) historical figure but everything interesting around him just slips under the rug with a bad plotline and bad missions. This could have went somewhere way better.
May be worth taking an in depth look back at Unity and how it has redeemed itself/people should give it another chance in 2024 now that it runs a lot better
Avelines DLC from black flag was definitely my least favourite, I was expecting it to play like Freedom Cry but it’s only 3 linear missions for 5 dollars with no open world whatsoever.
I really hated The Curse of Pharaohs DLC as it forces you to play melee and the melee combat of Origins is extremely bad. In my opinion Fate of Atlantis was a way better experience all things considered
One of my issues with the Wrath of the Druids is it does a disservice to Irish duridism and paganism and just interperets "pagan" as "spooky" and is a very one dimensional understanding of it. Also with the Fate of Atlantis and the Pantheon, I always found it weird there was never mention of Prometheus who, in classical mythology, created humans; as we know, the Isu created humans as a labor force and Prometheus giving them fire could have marked the beginning of their rebellion against the Isu.
Fate of Atlantis is #1 for me. Nothing in gaming will ever beat the first time I loaded into Atlantis. The ISU lore it explained was fascinating and we’ve never gotten anything like that before in the franchise.
All that campy supernatural Ancient Aliens stuff is so annoying and distracting. All we want is to play an assassin in a historical setting with a lot of attention to detail and actual historical figures to assassinate.
@SuperMaanas absolutely agree with you. Not only the Isu lore and the architecture of Atlantis is just breathtaking, but also the engravings and some of the abilities enhancements unlocked are also the most game breaking stuff we ever got. Hunter damage conversion+Korfu Champion engraving=+100% warrior and assassin damage for free(in a good build, it is usually +140-160% in fact) Warrior/assassin damage conversion+second sight engraving=2 billion damage glitch Ares Madness=8x more damage in the Greek world for absolutely no reason Ares Bull Charge+’+2 charges for ares bull charge ability’=another crowd control ability that deals 150% more warrior damage than ring of chaos

Could you do a second video on all the bonus level DLCs, both ranking them and explaining you how to get hold of them.
Here's (what I think is) a list, though your research may turn up more:
ACII
Palazzo Medici
Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari
Arsenale di Venezia
Brotherhood
Copernicus Conspiracy
Revelations
Vlad the Imapler's Prison
[Rhodes] - Mediterranean game only. Got a feeling that Ubisoft weirdly didn't make this available in Remastered edition, which frankly should have had everything, no exceptions. If so, let's shame them into releasing a very minor patch.
AC3
The Hidden Secrets Pack
Benedict Arnold Memories
Liberation
Connor's Way / A Different Point of view
Black Flag
Black Island
Mystery Island
Sacrifice Island
Rogue
The Armour of Sir Gunn
The Siege of Fort de Sable
Unity
Secrets of the Revolution
Syndicate
A Long Night out on the Town
Streets of London
Origins
Here comes a New challenger
Ambush at Sea
Secrets of the First Pyramids
Trails of the Gods
Odyssey
The Blind King
Secrets of Greece
Lost Tales of Greece
Those who are treasured
Valhalla
The Way of the Berserker
A Fated Encounter
Mirage
The Forty Thieves
First time ever people telling me that Siege of Paris(Valhalla)is better than Fate of Atlantis(Odyssey)AND Wrath of the Druids 🤔
My only annoyance with dead kings is the bugged achievements on xbox😭
The Lost Archive Doesn’t Even Look Like Assassins Creed.
Also, it gave us like six new armors.
seems a odd way to judge if something is good tho no?
Tyranny Of King Washington IS The Best DLC IN The Series
Assassin's Creed 3 IS The Best Game OAT
Lol
nice, within one hour! your videos make my day lol
10:32 Same bro I hated that mission it took me 12 tries to even pass it 💀
Great picks... Fate of Atlantis would be near the bottom for me if it wasn't for the Hades, which is the only part I enjoyed in that slog of a DLC.
Vidéo Idea : rank Every collecteble in assassin's Creed
Bro you make the best ac vids 👌
Hidden one the best
I just learnt that the last Maharaja is a DLC. I bought the game with all dlc and thought it was just a handful of side missions.
I did not expect a Randy Orton comment in my AC video but I enjoyed the reference
Sadly "Dreadful Crimes" was never released for Xbox players, only for PS and PC 😢
The lost archive is included in the ezio series remaster (in revelations, the trophies are merged)
It might be a remaster but you can still get o some objectives by getting pushed out of bounds.
22:10 actually you are wrong
there is a dlc also called liberation and it also has the same character and it's basically 3 short objectives that you can finish in less than a half an hour
That's not a DLC. Liberation is a standalone game
@@TheHiddenOne690 I know liberation is a separate game, I still have it on my ps vita but as I said there is a short dlc as well
I think it's called episode Avelin in the AC3 remaster instead of liberation because of the confusions with the vita title
You know I would love to see different countries for ac. Im glad they made shadows bc of its different scenery.
I feel like that my only issue with ac itself.
Awesome video man. It was a nice watch.
thanks dude!
That explains a lot actually I never remembered sequence 12 and 13 from when I was a kid and when I completed the game a month ago on pc the pacing felt weird playing them
And the da Vinci dlc in brotherhood confused me as I got to the mission with the lady were they get a bit steamy 😅 then the next mission I rescued the women in prison and kidnapped her, I think the dlc should have been locked to the sequences they are attached too 🤔
Wait, AC 2 Has a DLC? I never knew it
Ngl jack the ripper and the Washington dlc are mad good
I think the AC2 DLCs would work so much better if they could only be accessed after the main story - you get the more demanding combat of Forli and the less forgiving stealth of Bonfire as 'endgame' tests, capped off by the Ezio final speech, which is a more conclusive end to AC2 as a game by itself
Forli is at least easy enough to just rush it. But Bonfire with all the "don't get detected" while you have 300 enemies and very little ways to kill them silently without all the other enemies being able to see you is just cancer.
The lost archive is in the ezio collection
Well.... finally we got it ❤😂
subject 16 are underrated homie
yeah, the whole forced romance in the first blade was weird considering the base game was all about choices.
Jack the Ripper is my absolute favorite dlc in the franchise so I'd put it 1st, the hidden ones 2nd and dreadful crimes 3rd
I’ve been waiting for this video! I better see odyssey at the top 🎉
I wonder if we should get games based on Kassandra’s bloodline. Like her descendants who joined either side
I like the Lost Archive bcuz of how weird and mysterious it is
It's a shame they did such a bad job at the Last Maharaja DLC because Duleep Singh is such an interesting (and tragic) historical figure but everything interesting around him just slips under the rug with a bad plotline and bad missions. This could have went somewhere way better.
Syndicate had a hold on me😂
May be worth taking an in depth look back at Unity and how it has redeemed itself/people should give it another chance in 2024 now that it runs a lot better
Avelines DLC from black flag was definitely my least favourite, I was expecting it to play like Freedom Cry but it’s only 3 linear missions for 5 dollars with no open world whatsoever.
There’s some voiceover work for Connor which was a nice surprise, but otherwise it’s Aveline in the Black Flag engine in a very forgettable story.
The battle of forli dlc will be only remembered for Caterina's "iconic meme" iykyk
Oh and i think you forgot about the Aveline Dlc for Blackflag
I really hated The Curse of Pharaohs DLC as it forces you to play melee and the melee combat of Origins is extremely bad. In my opinion Fate of Atlantis was a way better experience all things considered
What are you smoking, odyssey dlc is all ass. And if Origins combat was “bad” then I think you have a sever case of skill issue💀
One of my issues with the Wrath of the Druids is it does a disservice to Irish duridism and paganism and just interperets "pagan" as "spooky" and is a very one dimensional understanding of it. Also with the Fate of Atlantis and the Pantheon, I always found it weird there was never mention of Prometheus who, in classical mythology, created humans; as we know, the Isu created humans as a labor force and Prometheus giving them fire could have marked the beginning of their rebellion against the Isu.
if you dont like the fate of Atlantis your def high or drunk
Duleep Singh was the last Sikh Ruler
When I was finished playing vahalla I had 1100 hours on it. But I didnt do much with the DLC. I had more fun and enjoyed odyssey DLC.
Hunter damage conversion+Korfu Champion engraving=+100% warrior and assassin damage for free(in a good build, it is usually +140-160% in fact)
Warrior/assassin damage conversion+second sight engraving=2 billion damage glitch
Ares Madness=8x more damage in the Greek world for absolutely no reason
Ares Bull Charge+’+2 charges for ares bull charge ability’=another crowd control ability that deals 150% more warrior damage than ring of chaos
Only thing bad in the second dlc in ac odyssey what they did the Branadas.
I was just about to start The Tyranny of King Washington before i decided i wanted to play the Wolfenstein games and i completely forgot about and now its been almost a year since i played AC3 but at least i know its going to be good when i get round to playing it
