@@hollabigT Not only that, but a brand new comic featuring her and Thor just gave her the ability to create weather from scratch; she's no longer limited to working with what's available. She even created a small sun. I can't remember the name of the comic, but it just released in December 2021, I believe.

She once gathered loose hydrogen particles in space to create an atmosphere and she even absorbed the energy from a galactic core and became a star. She can use pretty much anything from anywhere even the energy and elements from living beings including herself
I found the comic. It's called "Citizen (the name of the company partnering with Marvel for this comic) Presents Power of Light".
I will at least say that her lightning arrival was amazingly done. I got chills in theaters and it was such a power move. And finally some hail/ice usage (on top of the bus fight). But of course that fight would’ve been over before it started if it were actually storm.

Storm is an OMEGA LEVEL MUTANT. She is basically a GODDESS. Yet all these movies boil her down to is "She makes thunder go zap." Completely forgetting that her power is to an extent that she wouldn't struggle on the ground with anyone that isn't at her level.
They had Toad beat the heck out of her before she decided to shock him, they have her struggle with mutants cause they run fast, they have her go toe to toe with a Hair Level Mutant in this film... They got no problem with the Scarlet Witches and the Jean Grey's treated like Omega Level threats or Mutants. But Storm always gets the shaft.
She's a Goddess and an Omega level mutant. Treat her like one.
Plus she is more powerful than Jean and Scarlet Witch. Jean is not the Phoenix and is only a telepath/telekinetic and Wanda only good at chaos magic and her biggest offense is reality warping, but Storm control the very thing that keeps them all alive and can take it away or use to destroy. If there is no living planet and you can't breathe, how can you create a false reality if you are dead or control minds if your own brain can be electrically manipulated by Storm.
If Storm was really to be unsuppressed in the movies, the movie would be over pretty quick

@@Teemo6544 Yes she is omega level telepath and powerful but the statement was how they were never afraid to go their with them but Storm was watered down. Hopefulky MCU will do Storm justice cause in the comics she is on full omega mode, Goddess mode and now going into magic.
Storm is literally an omega level mutant yet nearly all of her portrayals live action or other wise outside of comics she is so embarrassingly nerfed

The scene where she travels through her lightning is amazing 😍. The scene where her and Cyke are shooting their powers at each other is awesome looking too.
i always have to laugh. they made the executive decision to have Storm mistress of the elements throw a HONDA instead of making a tornado and mopping the floor w all 3 of them.

Storm is right up there with Cyclops for characters that the MCU have to do justice for.
To me, Cyclops, Storm and Emma Frost have been the face of the X-Men for almost two decades now (especially during the times in which these films were released) so those three absolutely should be given justice in the MCU, the X-Men shouldn't be Wolverine and the Mutant squad as these films tried to make them out to be

Hated how they disrespected storm by giving her white hair instead of showing that she was born with it. Also she has blue eyes!
I think the scene where she is bestowed with white hair is bizarre....but I like the fact that they didn't give her blue eyes. They would have had to use contacts or CGI for that, and it would have looked cheap. Sometimes not following original text is the better choice.
Your right because shes a high priestess and her bloodline of high priests are all born with white hair and blue eyes. They had her with black hair and brown eyes. I mean I understand the eyes but the hair that was a stretch for me.
Tony Stark also had blue eyes in the comics. But in the movies he has brown eyes.

I hated both portrayals of Storm in fox movies! Not only they cast a BIRACIAL actress instead of just black but they completely butchered the character: 1)her speech wasn’t there, Storm is known for her sophisticated speech, she speaks like a Goddess, 2)her powers were nothing we know and love about her3) her personality (especially in last movies) were a bad joke! I really hope Disney will do my girl justice, Anna Diop Issa Rae or (especially) Jodie Turner Smith would be perfect as her! Black, gorgeous and very talented
Absolutey true. It is also hinted in the comics that she’s an omega with untapped potential to harness the very power of both terrestrial and extraterrestrial environments, on par with people like Jean Gray or even superior as she could ascend to the status of an incarnation of the biosphere’s forces, so she has been really downplayed in both incarnation, and I can’t stand the fact that they cancelled her back story as goddess for her native people.

I agree with you 100%, I just wish they would show Storms full potential. She’s a GODDESS not a ordinary mutant. Halle Berry did play her the best, if Storm does return in future Marvel movies that involve her character I hope Halle Berry reprises Storm, she truly is the best actress for the role
I will never forgive them for hyping her up in apocalypse and DP to be the most powerful version of storm that we will ever see on screen, only for her to shoot tiny lightnings and little burst of wind. And im not even talking about how she couldn't even defeat stupid hair guy😒

As much they didn't give justice to the comic version of storm.. I really like the fight scenes starting at 2:45 up to the train scene... I mean for the last decade whenever u see storm she just be standing there and do some lightning and wind thing.. In those scenes you can see her mixing wind with sharp hail like, and at the train scene you can see her uses her flight occasionally while fighting which we didn't see in the previous xmen movies.
Please MCU, don't make WEAK STORM. We know she's strong enough to become Omega mutant level and leader of X Men.

She created a massive blizzard in DOFP and multiple tornadoes in X2.

Even he can't move at the speed of light.. It should still be a lil faster than him
Lightning actually moves around half the speed of light but still anyone without super would be hit even Jean unless she had a pre existing force field around but she wouldn't of been able to deflect it like she did

The MCU really need to concentrate on her because she is indeed the most powerful Marvel character. This is a woman who has the mutant gene powers, who has the ability to wield powerful magic and become sorceress supreme , and who can be empowered and ascend into a Goddess by the faith of people. Who literally controls a planets elemental forces and in space, and who can manipulate energy down to atoms/molecules with visual and senses perspective.
All her scenes combined are nowhere as powerful as the Storm we see in Days of Future Past. Even in a short scene, Halle Berry's Storm commanded a snowstorm that knocked down several Sentinel ships at once.
The Storm we see in newer X-Men films look weaker. Her full potential denied.
Just started watching Avatar the Last Airbender.I wonder if Storm would be capable of some of the feats the water benders can do? Her powers have never been shown as diverse and tactical as they're capable of. Don't even get me started on her untapped magical lineage.

She may not have super strength but she's still better than "The Boys" Stormfront.
Stormfront of “The Boys” is complex. The comic version was closer to Storm in his ability to ACTUALLY manipulate the weather. The Prime version just has purple plasma generation, making the allusion to Thor and Storm even more artificial (and I think this was the point given that Vought is fake). Stormfront could kill Storm if she pinned her down, but a true comic Storm could easily kill either version of Stormfront.

In the other movies wasn't she able to just shoot lighting from her hands with out having to take it from the sky?
I would say in most of her scenes in the movies (X-Men, X2, Days of Future Past, Last Stand), she is shown either charging her attacks from the sky, or directly striking her target from a lightning bolt out of the sky.

I do understand and agree that Colorism played a part in casting for both portrayals of Storm thus far.
It's a sad fact.
But I also feel that this portrayal in particular suffered extra because of Bad Scripts for those last 2 movies

Alexandra's take on Storm was more faithful to what the Marvel Comics version was truely like. No disrespect to Halle Berry, but Alexanda displayed powers more aligned with the comic version of the character. Bar none!

I’m not mad at this version , I looked at first the movie was about Jean and not plotted around her and 2nd it like showing her character coming into her powers

She has good flying moves with good wind combat but the CGI on the lightning was terrible and the sound makes it worse. I feel that she lacked fluid momements but that could be because of the directors and the movie rushed production

Lighting and wind, lighting and wind. These writers have NO CLUE how to use my Omega Level Queen. She could literally (and has) expand or take away the air in a person's lungs. Fry them with Ultra Violet radiation. Freeze their blood or increase the gravitational density of a person and flatten them to the earth or conversely send them into orbit. But no....lighting and wind 🙄. Meh
