In my opinion this is better than the more expensive monitored systems in that you get to know where the bike is and can call police or go and get it yourself. (with some large mates if required!) With the monitored systems they wont give you the location and you are relying on the police to do something about it....

I just hide a Samsung tag on my bike for a fraction of the cost. Tbh, after your bike has been thrashed about and semi destroyed, do you want to see it again.

it depends on circumstances, some insurers are right nobs and if the moon is in the wrong place they might deny the full pay out....
I do both. A Monimoto and a Samsung Smart Tag.
Just buy an apple airtag and remove the speaker, no subscription and it’s more accurate and works all the time!
Ok, and how do you deal with the apple notifications (it does show to the ‘gateway’ after a whole) on the thief’s phone? Disable them too?

In another video someone suggested fitting a well hidden Monimoto and a poorly hidden airtag to give the thief something to find
