Steve, a very impressive set of videos and hats off to you for the determination in covering all those miles. I've often thought of Morocco but will now make it happen although maybe not on my own or on my Harley as is still has the odd bug in it and if hate to have to reset the electronics in the desert. Anyway hope to catch you at ABR next year if you are there - maybe you could run a short campfire chat for your subscribers.. Cheers, Mark
Thanks Mark, I’m so glad you enjoyed the series. I’m sure you would love Morocco but yes, resetting electronics in the desert would be scary! It’s not impossible that I’ll be at the ABR festival, a campfire chat if I am sounds like a good idea 🙂
Hi Steve, what an epic achievement and adventure you have been on, rain, cold, heat and being stuck in sand. You have remained up beat and positive. Thank you for sharing your adventure on TH-cam. Looking forward for more to come..
Thank you my friend, it has been a total pleasure sharing the journey with you and speaking of journeys; my next big trip will start in around four weeks time. There will be three or four closer to home episodes and then I’m off and the planning stages are all pointing towards epic!! Thanks so much for watching 😁
Thanks for sharing your amazing adventure Steve watched many motorcycle tour/adventure videos but none as entertaining ( for many different reasons 😂) as your series. Looking forward to catching up on past and future videos 👍
I’ve a had some forced time out because of injury but luckily found your channel. Great series travelling to Africa and back. Looking forward to seeing what your up to next. Cheers Steve.
1st class Steve, I've really enjoyed watching the whole series. I bet you put your feet with a nice cup of tea in front of the fire when you got home. Superb mate well done.
Thank you my friend! It took quite a while to recover from that trip… several fires and a few gallons of tea! Thank you so much for watching the whole series! 😁
Hi Ray, thank you, I really appreciate that! There’s four or so closer to home videos over the next few weeks and then I’m off again on the next big trip! Thanks for watching 🙂
@@TwoWheeledDreamer I really mean it, I love motorcycling, it’s my natural antidepressant. I hope some day to take a step out of my comfort zone and travel further afield from home. Your videos give me the motivation to do just that.
I find being on my bike one of things that keeps me sane… It makes me very happy to hear my videos inspire you my friend, it really does make running the channel worth while. Safe riding 🙂
Have loved the films in this series - top man and a top trip. Regarding the cold & wet.... I have found the key is to get cheap but very effective waterproofs ( have Oxford kit - less than £100 for overalls) make sure you get it on before you are wet through. Makes such a massive difference. I too would love heated gear - maybe one day...
Hi Craig, I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the episodes. If I’d managed to get my old rubber suit on before getting soaked I would have been so much better off. Heated gear is definitely on my wish list. Safe riding my friend 🙂
Hey Steve 👋 I'm sorry to see that it was very cold and wet but still can see your Big Smile as you make your way towards your home in London!😂You're an awesome Moto-Rockstar Steve 🎸🎶
For heaven's sake just shell out and get some decent waterproofs. It's no pleasure being wet and cold. You would enjoy it more if warm and dry. However, hats off to your resilience. 👍
Hi Andy, thank you, I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the episodes! The GS has been such a good travelling companion, I am so, so impressed with it… Setting off on the next big adventure in about a month 😁
Once you get your gear soaked its very easy to let the cold get the better of you. I have a light but effective rain jacket that i put on inside my bike jacket which keeps the wet away from me and if it gets too cold a good newspaper inside the rain jacket covering my chest works wonders too.
Sounds like you’ve come up with a pretty good system for keeping warm. I think I would have been okay if I had got my waterproof over-suit on sooner… A lesson learned! Thanks for watching and commenting 😁
Well done Steve, have thoroughly enjoyed coming along with you on your adventure, your resilience is an inspiration and am very much looking forward to joining you on your next one. Ride safe
Thank you Paul, I really appreciate that! After a few closer to home videos, I will be setting off on my next adventure in about four weeks time. Thanks for watching 🙂

Hi Mike and Wendy, yes, are remember the bad old days of ridding in gear that didn’t even begin to keep me warm or dry. Aged sixteen, I seem to remember riding around in leather gardening gloves at one point! The waterproof spray sounds like a good idea. I’m hoping to invest in some better gear at some point, maybe even before the next big trip! 😁

Hi Steve, I don't understand what you are trying to prove. If it's about your physical and psychological limits, I think you have already reached them. If you wanted to see a part of the world in fast-forward mode, you´ve achieved that as well. I´m happy that your suffering finally ended - motorcycletravel shouldn´t look like this. Stay safe
Ha ha I’ve known Steve a long time and you ain’t seen nothing yet! He’s never been so happy as doing this trip; rain, cold and all. He’s not doing this to prove anything but because he loves adventure, challenges, exploring and riding. If you think this is bad you should see him and Ben after a 50 mile road cycle in the rain in winter. Don’t fret. He’s titanium coated and can’t be held back. 😂
Hi there, had the weather been a lot kinder it would have made for a completely different last couple of episodes. Fingers crossed I can manage a little more time for the next trip and the weather behaves itself!
Putting your rubber suit on before you started for the day would have made a big difference. If it’s cold, get all your kit on from the start. Petrol station disposable gloves under your wet gloves helps. Ive really enjoyed your trip and fully understand the suffering , been there done that, good effort Sir.
Thank you my friend, it was a tough one but it all adds to the memories! I was hoping my drenched suit from the previous day would have dried in the wind a bit before putting on the rubber overalls but it was definitely a mistake not doing so earlier. That’s a good tip re the gloves and one I shall be taking on…. Thanks! 🙂
Great adventure Steve, just 6 weeks until I leave on mine. Have you thought of a summary vlog- highs /lows/ good kit/ bad kit/ tips to avoid and do etc?
Hi there, thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed it. That’s very exciting counting down the weeks until your trip!
