    Hi Steve, again a you have done a fantastic video. Even in the heavy rain you sound up beat and positive, with your positive manner you keep people glued to your mammoth adventure videos . Looking forward to the final one, but looking forward to your next adventure. Hope we bump into each other touring the uk.

      Hi there, thank you my friend, I always think a bad day on the bike is still better than a good day in the office (although I’ve never worked in an office!). The next big trip for me is about a month away (there will be a few closer to home videos in between). And who knows, we may even run into each other somewhere in the U.K.! 🙂

    Hi Steve . Glad you made it to the Airbnb and hopefully dried off. Fair play to you for keeping going in all that rain. I'm really getting fed up with the rain back here in Britain. Think we've had enough 😕 👍

    Well done, Steve, you're getting there. A very wet ride there. You must really like being on your bike, to say that you enjoyed the ride even in the rain. Almost home, one more video to go. Looking forward to it, but a bit sad that your Almost finished.

      Thank you Brian, yes, one more video then home. Being on the bike is definitely my happy place and it takes a lot to dampen the enjoyment - the next episode is a bit of a test…!!! One back there will be three or four local to home videos and then I’m off again on another epic trip; setting myself quite a challenge… I can’t wait! 😁

    Hey Steve 👋 You're doing great and I'm sure that you'll be able to drive back towards home without the grueling schedule you had on your way to Morocco although the weather can always make it somewhat miserable. Keep Smiling & enjoy the ride & Stay Safe my Friend 👍BTW, I believe that the bike that you parked next to in Lemans near your Airbnb is a Kawasaki W800

    Really enjoyed this one. You seem to attract rain though. Thursday will be last big adventure for a wee while, unfortunately. Just booked a ferry for July from Newcastle. 2 days on the ferry, 5 days on the bike 🏍️. I will how we get in Southern Germany 🇩🇪 before heading back. Meantime, I hope we see you get some warmer weather on the next episode 😊.

      Thanks Ken, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! The weather really did seem to have it in for me through France on this trip, and the next and final episode of this series ramps it up somewhat! 😂 Anyway, three of four local to home episodes and then I’m off again, heading for the sun… I’m liking the sound of your coming trip, please let me know how it goes! 🙂

    Hi Steve I suppose the warm weather of Africa seems a life time ago , there is nothing worst than being wet and cold, I would have put the Harley suit on first thing in the morning, I’m a summer time rider only , it’s a shame your trip will be ending soon , so what’s in pipeline for this year , Peter

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Peter, yep, I should have put it on (and will pay for not doing so in the next one!). I have three major trips planned for this year, the first of which will see me setting myself a massive challenge that should take me to some drier and warmer weather. There will be three or four closer to home, local videos upon my return and then I will be setting off again 😁

      Sorry Steve, this is not a lot of fun to watch. All torture and hard work. ‘Steaming up, can’t see a thing, I’m soaked, I’m freezing’. All too miserable for me.

    Been in france the last two weekends and it was raining for both weekends so youre not that unlucky - planning to do Seville/Gibraltar for an extended run in May and hoping for good weather - unfortunately I also wear glasses and in rain the steaming up bit is a nightmare - one product I have used alot for goggles is muc off anti fog - that stuff actually works so no steaming up for the glasses in rain but its another thing to do and remember ...

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      France certainly likes to rain on me.. interesting to hear I’m not alone! I will give the Muc off anti fog a go, as you know, it’s a struggle wearing glasses in the rain on a bike! I would think May will give you spectacular weather that far south in Spain; sounds fab! My next big trip will be in about four weeks - I shall be crossing France again in the first couple of days, fingers crossed I get some sunshine 🌞

      @@TwoWheeledDreamer same here - first week touring in four weeks hahah it will rain on me like the worl has ended - cant wait to see what you come up with next and get the helmet mic fixed - Im not a great fan of the music much more interesting to hear your day to day observations 👍(oh and maybe add a fw more tags - touring - motorbike - garmin - GS etc )

    • @snorwitz4265

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If we were to ride together we would probably be responsible for mass flooding! 😂 The next and final episode of this series is the last one without an external mic. I have replaced all the rain-damaged gear now and can actually give a proper commentary whilst riding again - hurrah! The next big trip, which will start in around a month after three of four closer to home episodes, will see me heading south and hopefully into the sunshine which will be much more mic friendly 😁

      Thanks Gary and well done to you too, 10 hours in the rain is more than enough! The Knox gloves are very good - they keep the water out for many hours and are pretty warm too. I found them a bit stiff and uncomfortable when I first got them but they are a good fit now 🙂

    I’m not sure why you’re always pushing to the limit of endurance and risking severe discomfort and fatigue???? Could you comment on this strategy please? It seems dangerous to me.

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Of course, it’s simply a matter of having a limited amount to time in which to cover the distances I wish to travel. Ideally I would travel half the distance in double the time and take a rest day once a week. Hopefully at some point in the future I’ll be in a position to do so. Thanks for watching a commenting 🙂

      I thought your question was interesting and important and I thought I could add something. I have known Steve for 10 years and watched him ride throughout that time; also ridden pillion with him although pillion can really scare me. Although I once had a boyfriend who lost his leg in a biking accident I don’t worry about Steve so much because he is the safest rider I know. He never takes risks on the bike or approaches hazards at speed. He also knows that if he gets too tired he must stop however inconvenient that is. I think it’s a question of understanding personal abilities and limitations and not trying to exceed these just because someone else can. Steve can do many things that I can’t do, has tons more energy and drive, doesn’t get so tired or sleep as much as most people. He is also really physically fit and healthy as he does a lot of endurance training as well as endurance biking. I never try to keep up with him with anything. I hope this helps.

    Terrible or should it be Les Miserlables, I did a ride from Dieppe to Limoges in one day on a 30 year old tranny with new satnav or phone and did not get lost, I used the road signs made rough route with a map and did not use toll roads once! I'm not sure why you keep messing up buddy but putputting around at 5mph is hardly what people want to see and complaing about the weather incessantly is not endeering either. You know you can put your bike on a train and rail it to the south of france for half your fuel bill if the weather is shite right ?
