Im totally digging that forest hike.
    Walking in the woods...giant trees..
    waterfalls...beats sitting in a cube.
I did a fair bit of that earlier in life.

Just curious, did you finish reading your book “Born to Run?” I just finished it and I loved it. Got myself some barefoot shoes and have the urge to run on a trail! Would love to know if you liked it too.

so interesting that there didn't appear to be people around. Is that a trick of camera work or was it really that empty on the trail?

I’m thinking of doing the same thing. How much can I expect to make in a summer?

Earning will vary wildly depending on your role and the state. Tipped positions such as server, bartender or porter will see the highest wages but they come with the least housing benefits.
I think conservatively, earning $20k per season is reasonable.

Hello, do they allow pets in those national forest parks? I’ll be heading west soon

National Parks have heavy restrictions on pets... they are basically only permitted in your vehicle or parking lots. National Forests are different but may vary case by case. I'd recommend looking at each park as you come into proximity. Safe travels!

Do you have a homebase? Do you consider yourself semi-retired?

I do not have a home base but I have some things stored in Utah. I do not consider myself retired at all. It’s more like I just work really hard, long hours for several months at a time and then I take a couple of months off.
