- In this crochet V stitch throw blanket tutorial, I am going to be showing you how to make this Hygge blanket. It's simple to make but it is so pretty and so luxurious.

Anja, watching your IKEA blanket video. Look book was very entertaining and educational. It showed people multiple ways the blanket can blend into a persons home or office decor, and was an excellent idea! This video gave me the extra inspiration I needed to use this stitch pattern again, and I have been enjoying “stash busting “using the V stitch as well as corner to corner patterns and moving on now to new patterns to enjoy quality crochet time! V-stitch is so versatile. Recently I made a scarf using merino-cashmere 2-ply and before that I made a doggie blanket with 10-ply acrylic, and they both looked lovely.

Really pretty. I have a lot of worsted weight yarn in my stash. From my research, aran is similar but a bit thicker. So I'll have to do a swatch and see how it looks and feels.

I've just finished a blanket like this, using the same yarn but I added a border (1st row single crochet, 4 rows of camel stitch, last row single crochet) and its just lovely. Thanks for the design and video.

Hi Christiane, SSDK would be a bit thin, unless you use 2 strands of course, then you could use a 7 or 8mm hook, try it out and see if you like the feel, Anja x
