Bro that component pay is nice. I just started with Us foods and they pay hourly out here in Minnesota. They started me off at $30/h and ot after 40. You earn every penny in food service. My trainer had me do everything from day one. Driving, parking, scanning, breaking down pallets and wheeling the cases in. My body is toasted coming off of otr bro. I’m planning to stick it out still. The money and the benefits are good as well being home with the fam. Appreciate the motivation.
Love to hear it my guy! It’s definitely a tough run at first but your trainer is doing you a good service. Your body will adjust in no time then it’ll be much easier on you bro. Keep it up 🫡💯
@@kassimabdullahi5143 sounds like I’ll be doing the schooling program! are most of the trucks Manual or automatic in MN? Wondering what they will train me in for school, forgot to ask in the phone screen
@@RayNevison The trucks are automatic. They’ll send you to 160 driving academy. Also you will get paid 40 hours a week while you attending school. You’ll also be helping drivers on route delivery if help is needed.
Thank you for all who tuned in. I really appreciate all support. I know the video content is blurry but come on you know I couldn’t just visually reveal it to you but if you follow along you’ll understand what I’m referring too and what I’m breaking down. 🙏🏾🫡
@@anthonyjohnson5961 just depends on how much they get paid per hour. I’ve met a couple hourly guys at different companies that work just as many hours as me but make less
@@TayTheLocalTrucker hourly rate might not be as much as well as not enough hours like food services. I mean 14-16 hrs ain’t no joke. However for me I don’t mind because I’m used to working very long hours. Just saying that food service drivers should be payed more.
@anthonyjohnson5961 I completely agree food service drivers should be paid more. To her point, there are things that occur throughout a route that a driver has to do that we don’t see pay for because of the “component” but we al know, no pay structure is what is really should be at any company right🤷🏾♂️
Yoo bro I’m interested in the charlotte nc location quick question though starting out is it possible to get a consistent start time? Or do you have to call in every night to see what time you start the next day? Appreciate ya content too!
What’s up bro, appreciate you tuning in to the content 🙏🏾🫡. Honestly, starting out, depending on if you work out of Charlotte or out a drop yard, you will more than likely have some days on the extra board which will consist of inconsistent start times. We go through what is called an annual route bid which just accounted back in March. Every driver gets an opportunity to bid on a route and it goes in the order of seniority. Being that you’ll be new, you’ll be one of the last drivers to bid when the next one comes. Until you’re able to bid, you’ll more than likely have sporadic start times ranging from 2AM to 5:30AM. However bro you could luck up and someone may quit or get terminated and you slide right into their route. Hope this helps and best of luck on your journey
Hey bro I’m in the process already of getting hired here at US food in Perth Amboy NJ it’s component pay plus OT etc… if I get hired which I hope so lol , I’m thinking of relocate to Allentown PA the starting pay is 32.96/ hour + component + OT do you think that’s something good too ?
I prefer component but hourly at times would be nice. Like it would be nice to be paid for driving time instead of miles because there are so many variables that affect the amount of time you spend driving
SF and Sacramento are hourly and biweekly. $42.75/hr route driver. $44/hr for relief. 4x10s. Overtime after 10hrs at time and a half. Double time after 12hrs.

How you liking it in MN? What is and how long until top pay? Have an interview here this week!
@@RayNevison it’s hourly pay here. They start at $31.25 now. A lot of stairs and forced dispatch starting out.

Incredibly descriptive detail bro. I start 6/24.
Appreciate it 🫡
This is a great breakdown. I still think component pay is a scam 😂
I don’t think you’re too far off with that one! 🙏🏾
That’s how the company gets them. They get paid enough but not really enough. Hourly would bring home way more money than what they’re getting now.

us foods here in vegas has hourly pay so it wont give component pay like this correct?
Correct. You’ll either be hourly or component although you can have a hourly pay feature with your component such as delay pay
