Can you become a driver at some food service companies as a driver with NO experience? At first I didn’t want to do touch freight, but now I’m looking into it cause I honestly want to be home around family and want to be home.
Why do they want a year experience, on the application it has no specific experience listed, but when I do the interview they tell me I need a year I currently have 7 months experience.

Hours vary depending on what location and what food service company you work for you can be ready to work between 8 - 12 hours a day. Overtime only goes to the companies that pay hourly some food companies do and some dont but some FoodService companies that pay hourly your guaranteed to get overtime after 41+. Vacation that varies as well depending on the company as well some give you 1 week of vacation for your first year and my company pays 2 week of vacation.
Theres never no downtime in FoodService people always got to eat at the end of the day summer time is always more busier than winter but at the end of the day theres always work. Once you get started in FoodService you'll get a better schedule and more consistent but when starting out your schedule will vary
