Totally agree. IMO there should be a bigger push to get people off of this obsession with front facing cameras. I get it has it's purpose sometimes but really why settle with subpar images, it's not that hard to turn the phone around haha.
As of now it records for upto 30 secs of video in that mode. Mrwhosetheboss has a better review video.

@@propersod2390 you will see more than enough to know that you’re in the shot, I’ve been vlogging on iPhone XS Max using Dji osmo and trust me back camera is unusable with such a feature as a really tiny screen it would be more than enough to see where you are in the shot.
Ps. I have a the mi band 5 it’s screen is more than visible.
@@thisisnyx true,vlogging will be much better when you can actually harness the power of the back cameras instead of relying on already weak front cameras. Selfie cameras also tend to apply weird beauty filters which ruins pictures and videos.

Most of the times I would lay down my phone on the screen to get less distracted by it. A small one at the back might help get you more useful notifications without the need of actually picking up your phone or having to wear a Smartwatch.

I'll always take a second screen on the back in favor of getting rid of the front camera ever since I first saw it. It's the only way you can go full non-moving parts, full front screen, and still be waterproof. I'm all for this, and thicker phones for more battery to match these new cameras. We've gotten too far into thinness, just make them thicker so I can stop worrying about battery life.

The depth of field is dependent on the aperture not the sensor, the exposure is used to compensate light. Shouldn't make any difference. Other than much better signal to noise.

I had been using the 4.7 inch iPhone for about 3 years and I thought that I would struggle with getting to grips with a bigger phone but to my amazement the way my hand adapted to the larger phone e.g. when gripping the phone to take a picture in landscape mode my fingers landed on the buttons brilliantly and that caused me to think that 'man what a wasted number of years using the smaller iPhone!" so yes I can understand the logic that u are using. If Google put the Pixel's image algorithms into Samsungs optical-zoom hardware the phone's image quality would be great. All the ultrazoom phones suffer from poor soft images or that annoying watercolor effect pronounced on Oneplus the hardware is there just needs software to not crap the bed.

Great presentation as always! Unfortunately, the MI 11 Ultra (the Chinese version that is) is not compatible with 5g bands used among U. S. carriers. Perhaps the global version will be... in any event, compatibility with your country's carriers should be the first thing to check for when considering any Chinese phone especially if you live in the States.
Not true. The Chinese version does support some 5g bands.
@@Labios_Rotos Yes...but the problem goes beyond 5g compatibility...system updates including security updates typically lag behind...if you get them at all as your Chinese phone begins to age 1-2 years. I've had ZTE, Honor, & Huawei phones as examples of this.

I think I would! Have you compared the "Pro's" i.e. flagships altogether at one time?
For some the screen on the back might sound like a gimmick. But for me who wants to easily record some singing/playing piano, I want to use the rear camera if possible and even selfies, I would like to use the best camera available. So this feature is basically exactly what I'm looking for in my future phone and this one might be it. I just have to look into the audio quality when recording videos, but Xiaomi have had top score in the past, so I bet this one follows suite.
The battery situation is definitely worrisome. I hope it's more a bug than anything else.

Have been using the mi11 ultra for a while now.
I have a few things to say about the rear display features.
1. I do not want others to see who I am calling Or who is calling me. Some people might. I think people should have an option where they can toggle as it is now with notifications.
2. Music player control on the rear display is weird. It responses to touches when it is in my pocket.
3. There must be an option where I can only switch on double tap to wake the screen. I do not want it to wake up everytime i put down my phone.
Lastly a question. How can I revert back from the super saving mode?
It is a very thoughtful and might be useful feature in case of emergencies.
