    In the NBA, your ability to play defense is the separator. Not saying anyone can play offense but unless you are at Steph Curry's level offensively, being shorter than 6'6 becomes a problem defensively more often than not and the offense productivity is usually never enough to offset that liability. That said I wish this young man a bright future and to prove everyone including people like me dead wrong. Maybe he can be the next Spud Webb or his own thing and goes all the way and then some! Proud to see a fellow pinoy showcase such great ability!

    • @playerone3885
      @playerone3885 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Even if he becomes an NBA all-star, it doesn't make any of what you said wrong. It just makes him an exception who beat the odds. Under 6'6 guys do struggle defensively, but there are exceptions like Tony Allen, Avery Bradley and CP3. Not to mention you basically HAVE to play point at that height and can't see over the PnR. I wish this kid the best just based on the fact that he seems fun as hell to watch.

    A lot of people mention Spud Webb, and Mugsy bouges making it into the NBA, but that was a completely different era, the game has changed since then and has become more unforgiving towards shorter players.
    Isiaiah Thomas 5'9, Chris Clemons 5'9, Tyler Ulis 5'9, Junior Robinson 5'5. These players have been proven to be able to dominate any league outside the NBA, yet have been passed on by the NBA.

Whenever I see a fellow Filipino who has the potential to make it far and actually succeed, I just shut my mouth, just support him/her no matter what. • @chrisculley3756

    You know what sucks about this is this kid's got a lot of intangibles. Not just his crazy vertical jump but he's obviously good on both ends of the Court. But the problem is in this will happen just like it did to Mac McClung they'll say he's a novelty five a guy that can jump. And because he's not 6'8" 6 '10" he will be overlooked. That's the problem with we have in the NBA today is there so many big guys. You're not going to find guys like Mark Price or John Paxton or Steve Kerr, or a Steve Nash, Muggsy Bogues, Spud Webb. You just are going to see it because they're going to be so overlooked by the guys with height heard that they're going to miss out on some great players that can really bring a lot to the team. Look at Austin Reeves an undrafted player that's averaging 20-plus points a game. I wish that the NBA teams in the scouts were so focused on height. RLTW 3/75

    That's great. He wasn't playing against anyone. I didn't see anyone barely over 6'0 I'm glad y'all have something to cheer for but y'all know how this story ends. Ala Jeremy Lin. And yes he's playing college at what level d3 c'mon now if he was that tough in Canada drake would be giving the stamp of approval😂

    walang ka-team? hakot? if he continues w that type of play his body wont last long, he wont last long in a team and then his mindset wont last long either because he'd be so full of himself the pain will be too much to bear when he falls from being so up high.
