LOL yes I realized that after putting this tutorial up, facepalm indeed 😝Luckily this build still looks epic if you substitute the reinforced deepslate for polished basalt

I love this! Can't get reinforced deepslate at all in survival, unfortunately. I can see how polished basalt would work, but I really like the color those bits add. I might try the sculk catalyst block or something. The pattern's different, but coloring is similar.

Gotta be the nicest tutorial I've followed to date! loved your use of blocks and coloring! I decided to try and build this in 1.16.5 in my pixelmon world so I had to derail quite a bit from the og block choices ;-;

i'll probably swap a lot of it for Nether Brick and the Crimson Forest blocks for earlier versions or ease of farm, but it looks pretty good!

fun little fact and hack, light sources go through slabs and stairs as if they aren't there, so if you want to light up the floor, dig one layer lower then the layer where you're putting the floor and put light blocks on the bottom layer (i.e.. frog lights, glow stone, sea lanterns, etc.), then put a slab of the type of floor you want on the top half of a block. It's a cool a sneaky way to light up your floor and some area by the floor.

I made this for my halloween themed world! I even added a balcony to act as a diving board to start a flying trial game!

I just built this is a more cherry blossom feel and IT LOOKS AMAZING (apart from the fact that I wasn't holding shift and the edge of a block and I broke my bed which but me at world spawn.... 500 blocks away)

if u can't use the new deepslate i ended up doing a skulk catalyst on top of the basalt and added more skulk on top of the catalyst. it came out really pretty

Really like the sculk builds just recently finished the wizard tower in my survival world cant obtain all the blocks in the video but instead added opted for colored concrete.
Was wondering what would be best to store your items seeing as on top i dont wanna cover the windows with chest/ clutter everything into the top or bottom of the build.
Hi there titoa.m9147, im so glad you like this style of build, the sculk is an epic building material isn't it! Also, I'm sorry for not responding sooner! I would break the tower section of the tower into a few floors and you could dedicate a few of them to storage - you could also create a floor in the spire of the tower for storage. Another option if you don't want to use the tower for storage and would rather opt to use it decoratively would be to build a basement below the tower which can have an unlimited about of storage space.

Will you do an interior design for this build? Like some kind of staircase and table with chairs, bed, bookshelf on the top part?
Hi there Niverian, ill put that on my to do list for sure - for now you could use some of these ideas for decorating and make them fit the style of this build by substituting the planks for blocks like deepslate or even warped wood

is there any way to make those light sources from the very end completely invisible even when you get close? I really like how it adds an eerie glow but looks weird when I get close and see the lightbulb.
Hi there Beth, sorry for not replying sooner! The lightbulb shape disappears completely as long as you are no longer holding the light block, if you then hold the light block again they will reappear again

Hiya, the only material you cant get in survival is the reinforced deepslate and I would substitute that for polished basalt (so youll need 36 Polished Basalt) the other materials might take some adventuring to get so if you are having trouble finding some of the supplies let me know which ones and id be happy to suggest alternatives for you 😊

From my knowledge I don't think you can break reinforced deepslate so what can I use instead,
Yeah sadly you cant break it in survival, a good substitute would be polished basalt - we recently built this on CaveCraftSMP and we used basalt there, and while it looks a bit different it still looks really good! Hope this helps and happy building!

Hi there Etham o/ s sorry for taking a bit to get back to you, the holiday season can be so so busy! I dont believe this has any Chance of summoning a warden as long as you dont build it in the deep dark

No The shriekers will only summon a warden in specific locations (deep dark) as determined by the game

I'm in a 2b2t base in 1.12.2, its difficult to get any haha
oh yes that would make building this very tricky lol, if you would like id be happy to suggest some substitutions to get a different but still very cool build using just 1.12 blocks
