Can you do a video showing the process on this exactly? As in, what adapters, how to load, how to advance, how to change rolls?
I keep postponing the "Texpan" 35mm in a GW690 forever, instead cropping down from the ordinary 6x9 frame from 120. Then the whole frame is always available.
My community darkroom has RC paper in rolls, so, yes, cool to print a panorama crop large and long!
Reckon having seen online some other metod of rerolling 35mm in 120, both with a whole roll of backing paper and pseudo 220.
This is an awesome idea!!! I love love the classic 2.35 cinema ratio, so this seems perfect .
I’m obsessed with it 😭❤️ definitely my new favorite
This is so cool, wish I could do this on my 645. Lovely images…..the foreground elements really do amp up the wow of the photos. Nice work!
Thanks so much! I appreciate it! 🥰
Amazing view & Amazing pictures!
Watching this video makes me want to go visit the coast.
Thank you! :)
A masked mounted viewfinder, great idea!
Which lens is that? I think they made two different kits.
The only pain about this whole process is the aspect of loading 35mm into the medium format camera. You gotta deal with getting or making a 120 film leader to attach to the end of the film and then rewind it manually in a dark bag.
I definitely think it’s worth it still. I’ve tried it using my Pentax 67(but not with my gw690 yet). The cost difference alone makes it way more worthwhile than an x-pan and you get access to tons of cheap great glass on most of the cheaper medium format cameras compared to the xpan.
I completely agree!
I’ve been experimenting with using 2 canisters, and then sacrificing my last frame to the light, which saves me the hassle of needing a dark bag, but yeah sacrificing a frame or two for that method definitely sucks😭
I’ve done this too with mine, and it’s awesome. I don’t use canister to canister, but a Fuji 120 spool as pickup. They have a hook/notch in the middle, and if you punch a hole in your extended 35mm leader it centers perfectly.
How do you aim in the viewfinder? Because that is one thing I still need to perfect. Great video!
Oh very interesting method! Thanks for sharing!
Framing is still a lot of guess work for me, but I’ve just tried to keep everything centerweighted and hope for the best! Due to the parallax error I never bothered putting in a diy mask, but that’s just me!
@@Anjroo The centerweighted method is a bit of hit & miss sometimes, so still debating if I need to calculate a simple mask or just carve notches in the side of the VF 😅
Love this video and content. Curious on what you filmed the video portions with? Are you using a filter or is that an overlay and color grading bloom?
Filmed on my iPhone! Graded with Dehancer, and slapped a rounded mask on top ❤️
@@Anjroo wow looks like a dslr, nice work :)
