    I just finished my first film yesterday (got this camera for my birthday on April 25th 2023 so almost one year ago) and I am so excited to see what I shoot. I remember taking risks, trying to create diptychs, lots of pictures will probably be blurry but I just want to see what's on that film!

    I have a Logitech G402 gaming mouse. An issue is I don't do gaming. I have it just for general purposes, so, I am thinking of upgrading to the Logitech Mx Master 3S mouse. Let me say of my present mouse: the Logitech G402, that I've had it for over 2 years, and it's working well. Nothing has ever gone wrong, except I had a few problems with the software; maybe because I don't understand gaming very well. I would say that it's working just as well as new, and I actually like it a lot, so I'm undecided whether to buy a new one.

    I feel like this sits in a sweet spot for me (especially because of the high numver of shootable frames) between using a boring old phone camera and getting a camera that is more work than I honestly need. I like the quick point and click ability, but I get a little bit of control to do fun stuff beyond that. I LOVE the idea of photography and spent a sememster in a dark room in college, but I’m just looking to capture memories ina way that is comforting and connects me to the world of my youth. So I think I don’t need to be focusing and worrying about light etc. Thanks for doing these.

    I’m probably gonna go with that one (and it looks cool) but the whole reason I even looked at these cameras was that original green one with the textured front. It just looks so much more of an age. I wish they’d make adirect upgrade cause I really just like investing in glass…even if its mostly psychological. Just makes it feel more like a “real” camera. And those new functions ARE cool.

    • @sesa2984
      @sesa2984 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Since I didn’t already have one, I think it’d be dumb not to take advantage of the upgrades. Especially since the plastic lens was oroginally the only thing holding me back.

    If they made the film rewind a little more robust as well as updating the lens and adding bulb mode, I would consider buying it. If the rewind is still flimsy, I don’t know if those other updates are really worth it. I’m perfectly happy with my old version.

    Long term user of the R1 here. Here are a few tips. To nail the focus for close subjects, I found that center focus mode works best. Focus at the center and recompose. The minimum focus distance is quite short for a point and shoot at 35cm. For infinity or distant subjects use the landscape mode. Even if the LCD is not working you can use charts online to use all modes. Just takes a bit of practice and memory. The panoramic lens is at f8 so use it with good light and the edges are very soft. But it has a look. The center is decently sharp but doesn't perform as well as the standard lens. Colors are good but B&W is where the camera shines. My LCD was half working when I got it and it actually got better over time. Almost all the LCD is working now. Storing it in a dry box and using it lightly seems to be the key to longevity. The flash fill mode is wonderful. Shooting people in daylight with it creates great pictures with nice subject isolation. Once you learn how to optimize the potential of this camera is takes great pictures and it is so tiny you can take it everywhere.

    Hi there! I got this camera half a year ago and already shot some photos. However, soon I have an occasion where I would like to shot pictures on a new roll, so that I can gift the roll to someone. Is it possible to unload a half roll and put it back in later to use all the frames?

    • @Anjroo
      @Anjroo หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can but it’s risky! Since you wouldn’t be able to tell when the roll started and stopped, there’s a high likelihood you’d shoot over your previous exposures and ruin them! I would just finish the roll, or get it developed even tho it’s not finished!
