Good morning Keith, Congratulations on your 30th anniversary. The best part about having your shop at home is the wife knows where you are and you’re not under her feet. Having time to do your own hobbies is important. Thanks for sharing the ladder I sent you. They are very stable and I encourage everyone to swing by Home Depot and try them out. I actually replaced my wood ladder and I like how little space it takes up. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
First my congratulations to you and your wife. My wife and I were also married the day after Thanksgiving 56 years ago. likewise our first grandchild was born the day after Thanksgiving. Life is good! Happy anniversary and many more to come, B&G
The support from a wife/partner is so important in living our lives as couples and it's great that you reference her in facilitating your passion in what you do. Good on you Mrs Rucker. Sounds like Keith hooked himself a great prize in you. Thirty two years married I've to the same girl and it has been a rollercoaster ride all the way through the years but the love and friendship has never waivered or been stronger between us. Keep on keeping on guys :)
Congratulations to you and your wife for your anniversary. Have a great trip and happy thanksgiving day. I am very thankful for you I watch evry video since a couple of years back.
Congratulations, and thanks for sharing! I know what it is to have a spouse who lets me be me, and I'm so thankful for her. I already knew your wife was the same, but it warmed my heart to hear you say it. I have a short step ladder almost exactly like the one you showed us near the end of the video, and it has been sooooo helpful! First, it's so light and small that shifting it around is no issue at all; and, second, having the legs go up to the top -- where they sort of become arms -- gives me something to grip when I'm on the lower, more often used, steps. For my aging, aching back, this added stability is great, especially when I'm reaching at odd angles.
I’ve got a 5 gallon bucket full of old and new pulleys and sprockets I picked up at an auction one time. There’s occasionally one that I need in there but usually something is usually just a little off. One of the things I find useful with them is if I need something to layout a radius with, I can usually find one that will work for larger radius’s ( 1” up to around 10”), so it’s been a good buy.
I was in the 2/11th Artillery 101st Airborne from January 1971-February 1972. I dealt with the 801st for parts on our 155 howitzers and other things along the way. I had a couple of good friends that served there in the 801st, one guy married a Vietnamese girl and left to live with her. He finally came back and they made him finish his tour there. That and I don’t think they paid him while he was gone, I don’t think that they could figure out a worse place to send him. lol. It was an honor to serve and thank you for your service also.
Happy Anniversary to you both! Yes I have a workshop that gets out of hand too , I am a retired engineer so have a similar organizational obsession, I hate having to look for something that has a place but didn’t get back home!
Keith, seeing those prints arrive on your workbench, it's interesting to think just how much of the artwork I've been obsessing over... first had to find its way to you there in Georgia, across catalogs and brochures, ink printed on paper - to be carefully scanned, and freely shared back into the world on Vintage Machinery - for me to someday comb through it, spending untold Photoshop hours to bring back a bit of life and color... all to create new prints, ink on paper - that I've now shared back to the person and the place where so much of it started. There's just some sort of subtle poetry in all of that. Glad you enjoyed them, and appreciate you taking a minute to share them with everyone here. My grandfather Wallace (Mr. Sawdust, as he was best known) would be thrilled to know his story's still unfolding among those he once called "a very special breed of people" - fellow woodworkers, lifelong students, and craftsman of every sort. In the dedication of his book, he wrote something simple and profound, to his wife of 50 years: "To my wife - who understood me, and forgave me for it." - so much said, in so few words. Happy anniversary to you! - David
Happy Anniversary, Happy T Day and have a nice trip! The other side of the equation that you probably are not full aware is how much you give to us, the viewers - which is why I am thankful for you.
Happy anniversary. This was a milestone year for me and my wife too. On the cotton front. My grandfather was a machinist and inventor. He lived in the boot heel area of Missouri. He made the first cotton picker. Unfortunately he was very proud of his work and showed a friend. The friend made one too and put a patent on it. It was a wicked looking farm invention. I have a copy of a copy of a picture.
@12:43 Those are Morse "QD" hubs. I sold a LOT of them back in my job as a Sales Engineer for an Industrial Equipment House here in Atlanta (Fulton Supply Co.). Those and Dodge "Taper-Lock" pulleys and hubs were VERY popular at the time (early to mid '80s). Most preferred the Taper-Lock ones because they were a lower profile and would fit into tighter places. The principle is the same...
We don't have Thanksgiving here in Belgium, but I like the idea, to at least stand stil once a year and be thankful to everyone dear to you and what you have. Perhaps it would be appropriate moment to give some moral support to those who are less fortunate. A big thanks anyway from me, to make these awesome video's, I enjoy them each time… Ps. Congratulations to Mrs. Mr Rucker for your 30th anniversary
I agree with you 100% about quality. I would rather pay double for something that will last than for something that needs to be replaced in a year or three. I would love to see a tour of your storage building. I do not expect it to be neat or organized, I know how storage buildings can be. I am just interested to see what all you have out there.
I have the same 2 step stool for in the house projects, very handy size. Also have a 5’ and a 7’ You need the right tool for the job. Your new Gorilla will be handy. Happy anniversary . We are at 43 years and counting.
Congratulations on 30 years. My wife and I hit that mark on labor day weekend. We celebrate every year and are well aware of how long we've been married but the 30th was the one that really hit us both. Our anniversary trip was during your last trip with Clark.
I think it is more like us guys who have to be thankful to you Keith for allowing us to share your wealth of experience. Happy Thanksgiving from the UK.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Thank you for all you do for all of us out here on the interwebs, providing interesting, entertaining and informative content. Happy 30th Anniversary to you and your wife!
Happy Thanksgiving to you. Keith and your wife and to all your family. I hope you have a great 1 and happy holidays. This is Bob from Vero Beach Florida. God bless, you say Save. Happy Anniversary too? Then I just heard that to you and your wife thirty years god helped you
When welding, grinding, forge work, wearing 100% cotton is the safe thing to do. Polyester will turn you into a funeral pyre. Cotton will smolder or the fuzz will burn off and you are relatively safe. Happy Thanks Giving to you.
Happy Thanksgiving. It's mot something we celebrate here in the UK ; maybe we should, even though there's no historical reason. Happy Anniversary too !
Confession is vital to the soul! Happy Thanksgiving! Us Canucks celebrated last month because we have a few feet of snow on the ground by this time of year! Brrrrrrrr!
Some of the best, inexpensive t-shirts I've found are to buy Gildan G200 or H400 from somewhere like Shirt Space. They're fairly heavy weight and I believe 100% cotton.
Does that two hours of clean up include looking for 10 mm sockets? …and Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends and congratulations on your 30th anniversary!
On those Davis broaches, John at Howie's machine shop youtube channel did a few videos on I think 2 different Davis key seaters, one of which they use fairly regularly. He's mentioned before that he's always looking out for them. Just a thought 😊
The 20 minute mark. Those 2 tools look to be Caterpillar timing pins. The small one would fit the Fuel pump while the larger fits in the flywheel. Should be 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch diameter. There are also 1/2 inch and 5/8 pins for the different engine models.
We’re thankful for you guys too Keith!
Congratulations Keith and. Mrs Rucker
Happy Anniversary Keith and Julie!
Awesomeness Extreme!
Happy Anniversary, Mr. Rucker and Mrs. Rucker!
Thank you Keith!
Julie is an angel for (a) giving Keith a loose rein in the shop, and (b) tolerating a hyper-organized agricultural scientist for 30 years.
Good morning Keith,

Congratulations Keith on 30 years together.
Keith sets a fine example of gratitude for the benefits we've widely enjoyed .
Happy anniversary. And some of the best work gets done in the most cluttered shop if you know where it is, that's all that matters
We are thankful for you and your channel. Happy Tday, Keith.
Thanks for sharing 👍 Congratulations on 30 years of marriage. Me and my wife just celebrated our 40th 😅

The intro was really great - the human side of orderliness, and your thankfulness for what (and who!) you have.
Quite humanly relatable; very nice.
