Make Japanese Shino-style pottery in an electric kiln.

- There are many kinds of pottery in Japan.
The clay produced in each production area and the works created by the unique manufacturing method are characteristic and deep.
Among such pottery, we are planning to use MOGUSA clay to create "Shino ware style" pottery in an electric kiln.
Looking for Shino ware, which is characterized by feldspar glaze, I will try it out at a pottery class in Kanagawa.

This glaze cracks due to the action of natural feldspar.
There are so many feldspars in Japan, and I'm looking for something suitable for texture.
It is important to find a good raw material (feldspar), not the composition of the glaze.

フランスでの粘土は何があるのかわかりません。
粘土の組成としては砂岩が近いと思います。砂目の多い粘土が近いです。

I don't particularly mix the glaze.
Only natural weathered feldspar.

そうです！お手製ですがそんなに難しいモノではありません。
カットして、紙やすりで擦って作っただけです。
惜しいですね。もぐさの緋色はまだまだ出せると思いますね。志野だけ鞘に入れて木質の燃料を横に置けばもっと良いのが取れますよ。それからターゲットの温度が高く練らしの引張が少ないのでは？

@@kiraku-pottery様 志野は難しいですね。特に土の成分や下絵の鬼板の鉄分が長石釉の表面に移し出る様にするのは私も3年で1000回位は焼いて見て、ようやくましなのが取れる様に成り出したという程度でまだまだ本場の先生方には及びません。研究あるのみですね。
