I'm at the very beginning of my own education in ceramics. I am intrigued with your use of a single glaze body, altering it as you do through adjustments to your clay body. Such a wonderful approach. You've inspired me to refine my own practice in this way.
when someones mastered what you haven't even tried yet. amazing work love the crisp geometry and tears.
I always enjoy the CR masterclasses but this one is really a stand-out. Thanks so much!
I love the understated elegance of this man's work.
This is my first time Watching David. There's beauty in the simplicity of his tooling and methods. The work speaks for itself.
I absolutely love the aesthetics of your ceramic carving. Really beautiful work.
Beautiful and fascinating. It's great to hear David's underpinning philosophy and see the process.
David, thank you for sharing this. I just started working with clay and you've given me many ideas to experiment with (like using woodworking tools on clay).
Thank you so much for sharing with us David. That was a really excellent demonstration.
Hermoso trabajo.

Good bisness I think
Japanese aesthetics and philosophy is to ceramicists what urban decay is to 1st year art and photography students.
Schöpfung
there is no art on this clay
there is no symmetry
🤣
disagree
Excellent work. I didn’t know we could mix stoneware and porcelain. I will have to try this. Thanks for the ideas, demonstration and inspiration.
just make sure to wedge it a ton, since clay sold as 'stoneware' and 'porcelain' can have quite different shrinkages, porosity and obviously color
👍
