So I went and got a quote from Grundy and Hagerty for my 80 Rabbit truck with fresh paint and wheels. HOLY SH!T what a price difference. Value stated was 18k for both quotes. Grundy $252yr with towing and all included. Hagerty $750yr!! WTF!? The biggest difference seems to be in the comprehensive section $126 vs $381. Plus some other stuff in the Hagerty quote.

good video and topic. insurance companies can be sketch. READ READ READ your policies. when doing a claim make sure they evaluate your car in the zip code you live in. i have had geico do it twice now for places in my state but far out of the city, rural areas, and the vehicles value changes there.
Curious on how folks who do their own work justify the extra costs if they don’t have receipts? It might be different for most situations, but would an estimate from a reliable shop for the same amount of work be enough to show the value of that work?
i got my rabbit pickup for 4800 guy tried hagging me off of 5200 i didn’t know at the time how rare they are was new to rabbits i used to own a audi 80 when i was 17 a pain in the ass to get insurance for at my age what’s a good insurance for my pickup because hagerty turned me down at 18 i go through state farm with my parents on there plan i pay $769.22 for a 6 month premium and i get a $295 policy discount i don’t know my pay out tho if i get into a crash but ive put like 2k into it just about

grundy seems to be cheaper across the board. ill have to look into them before renewing this year. its always about the fine print.

I'd be a little hurt if I only 6k for that silver car.
that's what i have into it, another 1500$ to go grab another just means for a good road trip. i don't need to be greedy.
