Hi ,i have a question ,i bought a TT 288 solid lifters cam for a JH solid head ,specs in the cam card is valve lash intake is .012” (.305mm)and exhaust .018” (.457mm) ,according my measurments cylinder 1 ,for intake i need a 3.356mm adjusting disc to reach the gap of .012” .305mm and for exhaust i need a 3.432mm to reach that gap .018”(.457mm) ,because i don’t have an adjusting valve kit i need to order adjusting dics to an specific sizes ,wich adjusting valves should i order for intake 3.35 or 3.30? And for exhaust 3.40 or 3.5mm ,best regards.

The Body is only the beginning.....Mechanical issues are huge also wiring. these are super hard to restore. and will cost you a fortune in upgrades. ORIGINAL is BAD....for a lot of things. They require upgrades.

Remember, those GTI's were probably that guys teenage dream car. It was for me and now I own one. I also own a couple of modern Ferrari's. The GTI I own is just as valued to me as my Ferrari's.

How did you do the motor mounts? I am using ict adapter plates and sbc van towers and I am 1-1/2 off on the hole to hole distance

I know this video is old. But wondering what engine this is. I’m assuming full ABA due to the crossflow. I have a aba/jh swap currently which is counter flow and looking for a head thats XFlow so my carbs sit in front to have room for velocity stacks. My next option is just to go full 1.8 16v or building a abf clone since I already have a 2.0 block.
