I've got a1992 vw golf m1 clipper karman convertible, it's got the electric roof and windows from factory ,I've had the car over 10yr and I was rebuilding it slow but after leaving a 10yr toxic abusive relationship 😢I'm homeless now and the project is on hold 😢it's shame I can't ever see me getting the car on the road that car has history 😢. It's very difficult was homeless for 1 Yr and now just manged to get cheap caravan but nothing works😢 so very cold 😢 so shame nice classic car I will never finish 😢
As a VW fan myself, this video really warms my heart. Absolutely amazing little car, and as always Scholl compounds do not miss! Loved every second of this, hope there is more in the future! This is exactly what car culture should be about, saving old gems, working on cars with friends who share the same passion and enjoy every minute of it while it lasts.

That's actually in better condition than the last motor I bought myself , on mine the Lichen has eaten holes into the paint.
It's given it a great patina but it really needs a repaint.

Why didn't you paint the wiper arms?
It’s been sat on a driveway all those years and there’s no rot underneath, no seized brakes, worn bushes not to mention any work the fuel system and engine would need. Now it’s clean are you going to show the mechanical parts being replaced?
Underside shown in video. Main brakes working, hand brake had done issues. We are not restoring the mechanicals. I covered this at the end of the video.
I wish we could understand more of the story of Myles’ life and how his beloved classic came to how it was, but all the very best to him and enjoy the new lease of life to the old girl. Massive respect to all the companies involved. 🤍🙌🏻

Dudes i think you have microphone or sound mastering issues. Voices are not fully stereo, they sound more at right ear. It's painful to listen to with earphones or headphone. Music are ok in mastering

Interesting video but seriously it's only a bit of dirt, something this dirty can wash it with anything you like washing up liquid would be fine, it's not going to hurt the paintwork since it's already been left out suffering for years.
Sure clean it with dish soap if you want. APC and more powerfull surfactants are more appropriate though (and cheaper)
@@ForensicDetailing I enjoyed the video by the way, I was just saying that it's so dirty the washing stage could use washing up liquid and not worry about the paint underneath which needed a good polish to restore.

It’s in a similar state to this one and I hope I will, one day, get round to using all the skills and tips I’ve learnt from your channel to clean it up; I only hope I can get it looking as good as this one!

I can imagine how this guy feels. I hurt my back a few years ago and I can't do my normal car repairs. So when I do get a little help it feels like a massive deal. But what you did was a massive undertaking and he was over the moon. Fantastic job to the whole team 👏 🙌
