In 2017 I was shopping for my first “serious” drone, (a Phantom!) watching a bunch of TH-cam videos, and the Steele video of him diving the building in a moving car popped up in my feed. I still haven’t bought that Phantom yet. Oh, and bring back Icky.

Great walk down memory lane! I heard of fpv back in 2016 and were checking various vids from Charpu and the French forest race, but it wasn't until 2017 when I pulled the trigger. Before that, you needed and camera surveillance license to fly in my country, making drones sketchy to use and I didn't want to deal with all the legal paperwork. Most cyberpunk hobby _ever_! Can't wait for Neuralink to get compatible with 5.8GHz. I want a DNI to my quads damnit!

GoPro's lawyers found a way to censor anything they don't want people to see. This system is broken. I started FPV in 2018 and I am full of respect for the pioneers who had to deal with weak motors, burning ESCs, 100 ms of input lag and above all poor flight control software. Charpu is a hero and so are Skitzo and Steele.
idk how to tell you but post-process image correction / video stabilisation was already possible even before the early 2010's... that should explain how some of these guys had such stable clips at hand and not because of the great tuning of their quads ^^
Same bro. My first fpv video was drone racing through the woods. Not long after my first quad was the blade 350qx modded with a vtx and camera fat shark attitude v1 and being flying quads ever since. Great video thx for the memories

The forest one was the first video I saw and I was amazed at the technology I said i would get a drone so I build a multi wii f450 what a piece of shit that was so I left it for a few years now I am flying freestyle rigs started back last year they have come a long way
