I love how perfectly in sync they are comedically. "We're doing Tim Kaine dad jokes? Okay, how about this? And how about this? And how about this?" Then at the end, they say "Tim Kaine" in unison. Once a Daily Show alum, always a Daily Show alum.
2 things. The show better not be live or Stephen will be in real trouble. And you need to include Samantha Bee to make it a true "Revenge of the Daily Show" episode.
That was a the cleanest, most beautiful ending for a live bit that was totally improvised. Them both saying "Tim Kaine" in unison then shaking hands and laughing. Ugh. Perfect.
I don't know if you know but you can see more of John on his show Last Week Tonight on HBO. He puts up episodes online as well. If you did know that, my bad
Colbert and Stewart and Oliver in one show, together... that's what I'd like to see! Colbert and Oliver didn't overlap on The Daily Show, but I feel that they belong together.
+Gilberto Velazquez I like the way you put that...lately it seems comedians like Stewart,Oliver,Colbert, and Noah, are the only voices of reason anymore
I don't think you're being "that person," seeing as in this case, the difference between John and Jon is significant. If there were no other Jo(h)ns in the Comedy Central crew, then it'd be knit picky, but here it makes absolute sense.
***** Nah, it's not the same. Bill becomes visibly annoyed once someone doesn't completely agree with him, and starts to lash out on people, and only when he manages to either show his dominance or that he's above the argument, does he become happy. Others just don't behave the same way.
bleg if you think decency is depriving the women the right to their own bodies and basic health services like cancer screenings then yeah, stand up guy.
Would you call continued de-regulation of the banks so they can fuck up our economy more decency? Would you call voting for the fast-track of the disastrous TPP decency? Sure, he's got good social views and all, and he's still a 'democrat' (by that I mean he's just another bought-out centrist democratic who's got more in common with old school republicans than true liberals), but wake up! He's got the same political agenda as Hillary! Would you call that DECENCY?
Have you ever met him? Being nice isn't what we need, we need someone not bought. And his social views seem to be rooted in religion, which if you were born after Darwin you should know..religion is dumb af lol. So ignorant social views + ignorant to the needs of american people = classic hillary vp pick
These two are comedy geniuses. I love them separately but together they amaze me. this stuff is straight off the cuff and better choreographed without effort than a Broadway musical. genius.
It was almost eerie how easily they worked with each other, and could predict each other's jokes. That probably comes from the fact that they're both political comedians that were both influenced by working with Jon Stewart.
+Dovakin Brown Russia consists of separate regions, like USA states, only in Russa those regions have different levels of autonomy and are of different types - republics, regions, territories, etc. Of those, it's the republics that have their own presidents and constituions. Watching John Oliver and Stephen together was such an incredible treat. If only Joh Stewart could join them someday 😍, we'll have perfection right there!!!!
Not nearly as bad as Chris Farley. You should go back and watch those late night talk show interviews with him from the 90s. It's actually pretty sad to look at his quick descent towards death.
Oh, I know what his role is. He's likable, he's religious, and he's familiar with Latino affairs. He's also to the right of Hillary. He's there to scoop up people who dislike Hillary's personality, evangelicals who dislike Trump, Latino voters, and Republicans who dislike Trump, respectively. I don't think he tried to out-trump trump...lol.
***** Fair enough. I'm just stating his apparent strategic purpose. I never suggested it would work. Oh, and everyone was mocking trump to be fair. Hell, there were tons of interstitial "our possible next president" spots during every day of the convention highlighting Trump's gaffes. Kaine's not unique in this respect.
I so agree with John Oliver. So glad to hear Tim Kayne. He is such a breath of fresh air! And had also the feeling after hearing him than everything was going to be ok! Didn't have that feeling before! What a great choice for Vice President!
God, this guy is quick-witted & on the ball all the time ✔✅✔They need to get him to host the Emmy's or the Golden Globes next year. Better yet, the Academy Awards & pay him handsomely for it ☡⚠❗❕
The day when John Oliver, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart unite, the universe won't be able to handle the sheer awesomeness of these people at the same place at the same time and would therefore cease to exist.
It's not fair to blame Trevor, he had impossible shoes to fill, the show is not that bad if you go in pretending it is a whole new show and not Jon Stewarts old show. Still not as good as most other options but it's watchable if you go in with that mindset.
I've never wanted a trio of Colbert, Oliver, and Stewart more than after watching this video.
That would be epic!
and Samantha B!
DO NOT FORGET STEVE CARELL PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN
Wait, Jonny's Angels:
Colbert, Oliver, and Noah work for Jon Stewart, so he would be Charlie.
I love how perfectly in sync they are comedically. "We're doing Tim Kaine dad jokes? Okay, how about this? And how about this? And how about this?" Then at the end, they say "Tim Kaine" in unison. Once a Daily Show alum, always a Daily Show alum.
Exactly, that was nice to watch
In case anybody thinks improv is only about making shit up.
they are a special pair
It's amazing! Stephen and Jhon just have such amazing chemistry
Harry Potter's reflection on a doorknob brought to life
Holy shit, that made me spit out my drink.
+Nicsho butter beer of course
***** A cool glass of chocolate milk.
you win on Jon oliver jokes
you win on Jon oliver jokes
I love how John Oliver cusses EVERY time he comes on to Colbert
To be honest, John Oliver cusses every time he speaks
That's the British for you.
Oliver and Colbert are pure gold
These inter-Atlantic nerds are the brightest beacons of this disaster of an election period. Love 'em
Both Hillary and Kaine are more crooked than a coat hanger at Planned Parenthood!!!
lmao coming from the youtube creeper with a playlist full of half naked women?
+Al Kasson That makes no sense at all
PLATINUM xD
One of these days Stephen is going to have to get John Oliver and Jon Stewart on at the same time.
Bless your imagination
2 things. The show better not be live or Stephen will be in real trouble. And you need to include Samantha Bee to make it a true "Revenge of the Daily Show" episode.
celticwolff They'd just be cursing every second and Stephen would burry his head in his hands praying that Viacom would take him back
Don't forget Steve Carell...
+darknightoftroy unlike trevor noah
I want a Colbert/Oliver show. They play off each other so well.
they honestly have such a good flow, i love john and stephen together
He looked so sad when Steven cut him off. He was so happy talking about his cat scandal and he couldn't finish the story and I just
This is accurate
just what?
Booper cut them off.
LJ B Oh. My. Gosh I did
is this cat thing on one of the shows of last week tonight or did he just asked people on social media to do it?
The Prodigal Sons of The Daily Show have finally United all shall be well with the world
+Ad C You're right
I'm pretty sure John was on the show before.
You are right
And then you woke up...
While the actually Daily Show slowly fall to the shit pool
ohhh I love John Oliver so much!
Me too! He needs a nightly show!
WHat makes his show so great is that his team has more time to prep them!
+Not A Beauty Guru he has one...
Ahmed Zahid he has a weekly one! :P
That's you? Show us your ugly face. Love you xxx
That was a the cleanest, most beautiful ending for a live bit that was totally improvised. Them both saying "Tim Kaine" in unison then shaking hands and laughing. Ugh. Perfect.
Oh look, it's British Millhouse
LMAO
Always love Oliver
Don't you mean unfunny live-action Beaker?
lololololol
Hahahahh!
John Oliver responding to the Gilmore Girls teaser is all I ever wanted in life.
Gotta love this British Toucan
don't forget his rat face
Nah, he's a four eyed parrot at a bank.
I thought that was Mitch Mcconnell.
He described himself once as 'A nearsighted parrot who works at a bank'.
MY TWO FAVORITE PEOPLE ON THE SAME STAGE
same! XD
+SuJu_Mimi I spy a fellow kpopper
Sai Anbumani hi!!! XD
Why helooo XD
Sai Anbumani how'd you know? Lolz
My favorite hosts together !
No kidding!
Just add Sam bee and I would be hyperventilating
wish trevor noah and jon stewart was there as well
John Oliver is a national treasure which we shall never give back to the British!
My thoughts exactly.
Just like the colonies
Apparently they don't want him so everyone wins!
Is Limbaugh funny? I mean, intentionally?
Believe me, we the United Kingdom need him more than ever, because the worst possible political scenario has already happened for us!
Fuck it, let's just have him or Jon Stewart as guests every night.
Or start a Daily Show Alumni super show where all past and present hosts and corespondents go wild for an hour every week on hbo
And then add in Sam Bee for a change of pace from those two.
i concur
I second that
jamalocaust THEY DID THAT!!! (Sorry, but the excitement was definitely called for)
I immediately liked this when I saw John Oliver was in it.
so you dont think for yourself then ?
C'mon guy! Unity and Christian charity for your fellow man. :)
+Eirik Hauge maybe he thought I really like John Oliver?
+Eirik Hauge dont believe ever thing you see on fauxs news
So you'd prefer if it was Kim Jong Un or Vladamir Putin or one of those other guys who "gets things done"?
Stephen brought back John Oliver. now I can rest in peace.
I don't know if you know but you can see more of John on his show Last Week Tonight on HBO. He puts up episodes online as well. If you did know that, my bad
***** oh don't worry. I do follow that rat-faced bastard on HBO. just I like seeing him mingling around with Stephen more.
Colbert and Stewart and Oliver in one show, together... that's what I'd like to see! Colbert and Oliver didn't overlap on The Daily Show, but I feel that they belong together.
We need to see the master and his two senior pupils thrashing Trump or something, just for the epicness and lulz
+Gilberto Velazquez I like the way you put that...lately it seems comedians like Stewart,Oliver,Colbert, and Noah, are the only voices of reason anymore
unscripted john oliver is exactly as funny as scripted john oliver
I actually find him funnier unscripted hes so damn naturally funny
+Mario .Tunon Watch the John Oliver New York Stand-up Show. You won't regret it.
how do you know it's unscripted? They could have rehearsed and scripted this easily.
+Mario .Tunon It's fun how he chuckles and giggles at himself when he really enjoys his own joke. Very sweet
+FG Eclipse Very true. Very true.
This entire interview had me bawling from start to finish. These guys never skip a beat.
Jon Oliver, the best guest. Thanks Jon, thanks Stephen.
*John (don't mean to be that person, Jon was the other guy).
I don't think you're being "that person," seeing as in this case, the difference between John and Jon is significant. If there were no other Jo(h)ns in the Comedy Central crew, then it'd be knit picky, but here it makes absolute sense.
What are the chances of a weekly round-table with Colbert (either in-character or out), Stewart, and Oliver? I would watch the shit out of that.
You mean, you would watch the *******MUTE******** that.
Add Bill Maher, Samantha Bee and Trevor Noah, and you've got a show.
***** Bill Maher's ego makes him incompatible with everyone else.
Man They all have egos. He'd only have friction with Colbert, like in their interviews.
***** Nah, it's not the same. Bill becomes visibly annoyed once someone doesn't completely agree with him, and starts to lash out on people, and only when he manages to either show his dominance or that he's above the argument, does he become happy.
Others just don't behave the same way.
Oliver, Colbert and Stewart should do a show together for once
You mean The Daily Show?
+adamnicolle No, he meant John Stewart
+Lifesongsandvids I was talking about The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, what were YOU talking about?
+adamnicolle it doesn't have John Stewart anymore though so...?
The daily show literally had all 3 of them on it in the past.
You can tell they both studied under the same sensei.
I like Tim Kaine. He represents decency and that's what is needed. Go Tim Kaine!
bleg if you think decency is depriving the women the right to their own bodies and basic health services like cancer screenings then yeah, stand up guy.
Would you call continued de-regulation of the banks so they can fuck up our economy more decency? Would you call voting for the fast-track of the disastrous TPP decency? Yeah, he's a nice guy and all, but in all honesty, nice guys don't make for good politicians.
Have you ever met him? Being nice isn't what we need, we need someone not bought. And his social views seem to be rooted in religion, which if you were born after Darwin you should know..religion is dumb af lol. So ignorant social views + ignorant to the needs of american people = classic hillary vp pick
...so basically the opposite of Hillary.
Tim Kaine is every 90s, early 00s sitcom dad.
sooooo bob saget?
Bryan Cranston in Malcolm in the Middle?
+loveharrydaily Lil yeah
That was my first thought haha
HAHA xD
these two are legends!
This interview was amazing! Makes me love you two even more!
Tim Kaine is like meatloaf. He won't excite you but he'll get the job done and you'll be happy because of it.
That should be the slogan for the entire Clinton campaign
That's awesome.
Ma! Tim Kaine!
Two of the coolest dudes on the planet together right there ladies and gentlemen.
The way they said Tim Kaine in perfect unison at the end was amazing.
These two are comedy geniuses. I love them separately but together they amaze me. this stuff is straight off the cuff and better choreographed without effort than a Broadway musical. genius.
Holy shit, they're the same person
It was almost eerie how easily they worked with each other, and could predict each other's jokes. That probably comes from the fact that they're both political comedians that were both influenced by working with Jon Stewart.
+ShapedSilver
Yes, and are skilled in the structure of good comedy
+ShapedSilver Not to mention John Oliver started out as a correspondent on The Colbert Report
+CiggyButtBrain Really? I thought he started as a correspondent on The Daily Show.
Actually, he was a Daily Show writer first
I can feel the bromance.
I would be fine if all ex-Daily Show peeps just interviewed only other ex-Daily Show peeps, and then revealed that was the whole conspiracy all along.
John, you and your wonderful spider fingers.
if Hill gets elected, saxophone/harmonica jam sessions every day.
YES!
YES!
Every Tuesday is a Duetuesday and everything will be alright.
If Hillary gets elected then prepare to be sent to a gulag
you better get out of here and get to your underground shelter now Dirk!
We just needed John Stewart to make an appearance to make this the greatest clip ever.
Not live. The audience would cheer like crazy and he'd steal the show.
The chemistry between those two is so amazing :D
Like waldorf and statler in handsome and smart ^^
He liked Tim Kaine - right? I loved him - open, natural, good with words.
No, he just mocked Tim Kaine's manner and said nothing good about him. I love Tim Kaine, as one of his loyal constituents.
I wasn't expecting to like him, but he was kind of geeky. I liked that.
This was awesome!
It's amazing how much they are in sync!
"shit" gets censored!?!?come on now USA stop being ridiculous
Not USA Cbs.
CBS and every other major American network.
It's so kids can watch, it's not that bad.
Have you heard how kids speak? South Park is a pretty accurate representation of a four grader's vocabulary
You mean where the fourth graders are often more articulate than the adults? Lul.
Can we have Jon Stewart as President, Colbert as Vice President, and John Oliver as Secretary of State?
NO Colbert as Secretary Oliver as Vice president
So adorably awkward - like a penguin!
Actually penguins are pretty vicious.
They are carnivores, so they sustain themselves by constantly devouring other living beings.
+Man tbh this is the content I want to read when I look through the TH-cam comment section
+Man But they do it while looking awkward so it's all good.
^ Exactly like John Oliver! :D
Penwin*
The Daily Show alum are crushing it all over!
I love watching talk show hosts interview each other, it’s like when Disney shows would do crossover episodes 😂
Colbert and Oliver should co host something together. they have amazing chemistry and you can just tell they were having a blast.
Best John Oliver interview on Late Show with Colbert so far!!!
Who doesnt think Lorelai is hot?
"He's as cool as he can possibly be." What a perfect description of Tim Kaine.
God, I love John Oliver and Stephen Colbert.
Two of my favoritest!! 🙌
I'm always happy when I find out John Oliver is on the Late Show with Colbert, the two are hilarious together
John Oliver and Stephen Colbert owning American Media. More collab pls
This was hilarious, and the fact that it was live tells you how awesome this guys are.
Jesus. These two need to do a show together weekly.
John Oliver and Stephen Colbert's chemistry is Onpoint
I feel like John Oliver and Stephen Colbert are America's cutest bromance.
They're pretty cute but I think the America's cutest bromance award has to go to Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake
How could I forget them.
two awesome guys right here
that girl dancing in the background during John's entrance, she can get it
You can tell how well they get along by the way they said Tim Kaine in unison with those freaking faces on 😂
Warlords have Instagram? The world is weird.
It'd be weird for Warlords to _not_ have Instagram.
+superKaboza how can you be president of a region part of another country? I get being governor, but president? pretty sure that's rebellion language

I like Tim Kaine's speech too.
Clearly a clip we will look back at in future decades as the earliest clue to John Oliver's coke addiction.
His wife is pretty hot so I definitely don't think he's on cock
Not nearly as bad as Chris Farley. You should go back and watch those late night talk show interviews with him from the 90s. It's actually pretty sad to look at his quick descent towards death.
Piss poor disinformation
Patrick Melody 一
John Oliver dominated this show lol. Colbert looked like the special guest.
John Oliver is brilliant!
They look like they enjoy each other's company ALOT xD
That man makes me unreasonably happy.
Oliver has some George Lucas going on his chin.
Its got its own heartbeat.
John Oliver is such a delight.
TIM KANE IS NOT MY REAL DAD! I WANT BERNIE BACK!
Let's be real: Sanders is grandpa.
Bernie is Foxy Grandpa
Bernie is a sex symbol.
Why do want *him* back? He's a failure #feelthefailure
Because the system was rigged against him?
I wish I could look at someone like John looks at Stephen at the end.
Tim Kaine was indeed adorable. :D
+Enrico Palazzo trump is the furthest thing from adorable
Oh, I know what his role is. He's likable, he's religious, and he's familiar with Latino affairs. He's also to the right of Hillary. He's there to scoop up people who dislike Hillary's personality, evangelicals who dislike Trump, Latino voters, and Republicans who dislike Trump, respectively.
I don't think he tried to out-trump trump...lol.
*****
Fair enough.
This was a purer time.
Can we please have these two gentlemen run for president?
John, Steven: SAVE US!!
I love their barely concealed glee at the end when they answered the question of who would have sounded better saying it XD
I LOVE the chemistry between these two heroes of feelgood!
I so agree with John Oliver. So glad to hear Tim Kayne. He is such a breath of fresh air! And had also the feeling after hearing him than everything was going to be ok! Didn't have that feeling before! What a great choice for Vice President!
The fact that these two are Gilmore Girls fans makes me love them even more.
John Oliver looked so hopeful and alive back then. 45 has crushed him.
i want to help a warlord find his cat
Maybe if we help him, he'll see humanity as alright and stop warlording.
Colbert cracking up with Oliver!! So freakin awesome!!!!!!!!!
I want Oliver and Noah to meet.
Sounds painfully unfunny.
Noah is a unfunny prick.
+R TE that was rude sir
He's getting there, got big shoes to fill
God, this guy is quick-witted & on the ball all the time ✔✅✔They need to get him to host the Emmy's or the Golden Globes next year. Better yet, the Academy Awards & pay him handsomely for it ☡⚠❗❕
I like Stephen Colbert's old glasses better.
+Dank Sinatra I found this way funnier than I should have
I like how pleased John Oliver looked that they went full circle at the end.
The day when John Oliver, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart unite, the universe won't be able to handle the sheer awesomeness of these people at the same place at the same time and would therefore cease to exist.
I am in love with the girl dancing behind John during his entrance.
.....My 2 Fav Funny Nerds !
that dance he did in the beginning was everything 😂😂😂
What a pair! They could make 'Road' movies like Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Maybe chasing after Sarah Silverman, that could work...
Oh damnnn John Olivers socks are CLASS!
Jon Stewart is smiling somewhere..... the DLS alumni still continue to shine....... btw.. thanks Trevor for destroying it
It's not fair to blame Trevor, he had impossible shoes to fill, the show is not that bad if you go in pretending it is a whole new show and not Jon Stewarts old show. Still not as good as most other options but it's watchable if you go in with that mindset.
DLS went full SJW after Stewart left.
+akshay rathore tbh I think trevor noah attacks democrats/hillary more than stewart did/would've
William Knox SJW and supporting hillary is not the same thing.
I love 3 tv hosts... 2 r here .... one is retired, Miss u john Stewart
That dancing girl in the intro.
I thought I only noticed...
Haha
Yeah, she's stoked. I wonder who that was.
Wow, these two have a great dynamic!
These two are such a perfect combo, I would love to see an episode of last week tonight with Steven or maybe some sort of combo with the two.
These two together are everything
