First time there was 1973 on a high school trip with the 40 students from the spanish club from the US. Crazy fun .The power went out in the entire city with a bunch of juvenile delinquents drinking tequila. What could go wrong. Found a $2 peso gold coin on the street. Oh memories. Hasn't changed much. Thanks for your video
I'm glad to see you're still enjoying beautiful Mexico. Taxco is one of those places that modern tourists seem to not know much about, henceforth not many visit. When living in Mexico I used to travel from Mexico City to Taxco very often; its art, its museums, its silver shops, and most of all, it wonderful feel of an old city, makes Taxco one of the most enchanting cities in America. Too bad you missed visiting the most amazing caves in the Continent nearby: The "Gruttas of Cacahuamilpa". A maze of gigantic caves connected in between with huge naturally sculpted vaulted corridors, full of stunning Stalagmites and Stalactites all over. The whole complex is brigthly illuminated making the experience a wonderful concert of "Light and Sound", as the tour is called. Maybe in your next trip to Taxco. Cheers dude, great video again. C ya
I was just in Taxco and really enjoyed it. I love silver jewelry, so this was one of my main reasons for going to Taxco. The vendors in the nicer shops can be very high pressure, but it is nice stuff at a good price (they weigh each piece before telling you the pirce) I wish I would have watched this video before my trip, because there were a few things I missed. I'll be back in Mexico City in August, so maybe I'll go again. Poncho cracks me up, looks a bit tortured at times lol.
What a great video! Obviously you got a workout as you walked through the town. Thank you so much for sharing your journey!! Looking forward to the next episode! 😀
YEA! Another highly entertaining and informative vid. Thanks Alfi for sharing ... your details and evident research is much appreciated. Taxco ... kinda was on our list but now looks exhausting ... climbing, stairs and such. I am glad I got to visit it via your eyes. (hi pancho)
Thanks Ronnie! Yes, it was a workout but you can always take taxis to get to the viewpoints! But there ate plenty of charming small cities that are flat like San Miguel, Morelia and Queretaro!
Sadly, as of 1/2024 Taxco is battling gang violence. The city is mostly shut down: including schools and public transportation. So very sad and I pray the situation is quickly resolved.
Loved your video! Those hills looked exhausting. Nice workout though! Beautiful views. The mine was pretty cool. Food looked delicious. Enjoyed seeing Pancho again! Hope to see him in more of your videos. 💕
I have been many times in Taxco. Yes, it is a gorgeous City. I love my Mexico Lindo y Querido.
My quads hurt just by watching this video! I wished you could’ve stayed longer, the city is stunning!
It was quite the workout, thanks!
I had a day in Taxco years ago and still dream about… I appreciate the detailed, yet absorbable facts! Your teaching skills are evident!

I read back in January, Taxco was experiencing some gang violence and places were closed. I’d check before I go. Thanks again for watching!
