Cholula! 😍😍 loved this vid! Nearby you can find the town of Chipilo, which was founded by Italian immigrants in the 1800’s and they still speak Veneto and they have the best pizza, pastas and gelato! Cute town for a weekend foodie bender! And a lot of “taco de ojo” haha
Also Atlixco is a cute town nearby with amazing cecina meat in the market and Val’Quirico in nearby Tlaxcala! But this last one can be a bit expensive! Great food all over and beautiful towns! Love Puebla! Keep up the great work!

Thank you! I wish I had read about Chipilo, as I am Italian-American and would have loved to hear the Veneto dialect being spoken in Mexico! How unique! Maybe I’ll get back to Puebla at some point and check it out! Thanks for the info!

You got your history wrong. The ones who defeated the Aztecs on the second battle were the Tlaxcalans. The Spanish joined the Tlaxcalans. There is no way a bunch of Spanish defeated the Aztecs. That side of the story has been debunked. The Tlaxcalans, plus 300,000 allies and 69 spaniards in horses attacked Tenochtitlan. The Aztecs won. Later on they Tlaxcalans and allies regroup and attacked again and the battle lasted 7 months. Chicken pox hit the Aztec capital and the rest is history.

I did not mention any details about the battle of Tenochtitlan in this video. But, the Spanish could not have defeated the Aztecs without the Tlaxcalans. And also other indigenous allies and especially, La Malinche. But the Spanish were always in charge and of course they conquered the Aztecs, as well as the Purépecha. Also, it was smallpox, not chickenpox.

@@GringoInterrupted Nope, the Tlaxcalans were in charge and the Tlaxcalans, with the help of the Spanish and the allies conquered the Aztecs. The Spanish were in charge after the Aztecs were defeated and turned on the allies. Easy for the Spanish after smallpox. Anyway, still you know more history than most people I know.
