I am only beginning to learn French. But I can't get my head around the fact that French seem to swallow most of the letters in their words. Why is that? I find it very illogical and it has put me off studying French for so long. Why oh why not pronounce F in the plural 'bull'?! I understand the vowl sound will change, but why not pronounce half of the letters at the end in so many words! Where's the explanation, logic or sense in that? Please, someone help me understand.
Languages are not about logic. And as a not English speaker person, the English pronounciation semms to be extremly illogical for me in most of the times. French is even a bit better in some ways. It's told about my mother tongue (Hungarian) that it must be one of the most difficult languages of the world, but I think our writing is quite regular compared to English or French. In most cases we write the letters as we pronounce them.
@@tamasjuhaszi2808 I understand it's not about logic, but I always try to look for some kind of s pattern when I learn things. (I have already found it for myself.) I heard that Hungarian has lots of grammatical cases. Merry Christmas!

Merci beaucoup Virginie. Je sais ya haha 👻
je n'entends pas vraiment la différence...
Le 'F' ne se prononce pas au pluriel.
mais Pourquoi prononce-t-on la lettre f au singulier et non au pluriel ? merci
C'est une règle établie. Cela vient de l'ancien français.
Tres sensible.
