How do we give care without taking away his God given freedom?
How do we propose to balance his protection from harm, against his right to freedom?
He has the right to live free.
We can criminalize it by calling it loitering or trespassing, crimes that can be committed just by existing or by simply being somewhere, but that won't fix the problem either.
Some people will insist on living outdoors and unless we are willing to give them a life sentence or put them to death in labor camps like Hitler did, than we cannot simply force them indoors.
The beach users didn't seem to mind much, they still held soccer practice, bike riders went by, dog walkers passed, even people with kids went by as if the man weren't there.

This reminds me of getting my daughter to clean up her room. I finally put four boxes in her room one for toys, one for clothes, one for trash, and one for everything else. I put a chair by the door, and sat in the chair and then I would direct her by pointing and saying "that goes in the trash, that goes with the toys, that goes with the clothes." I did that to get her to do the work so that I didn't have to. By the time she was 10 I gave her a laundry basket, and showed her how to wash her own laundry so she could do it herself. These homeless people seem more like children than adults. I can't believe they have to have police officers doing this.

He ends up outside. He makes weird messes, almost burns the kitchen down, then blames the cook wear and the stove, for the mess. If you try and help, he throws a fit. It's a mess. I love him, it breaks my heart. He doesn't want help, he's not ready. And now, this is the first Thanksgiving and Christmas, we haven't heard from him.
