i searched this kind of channel all the time cause i love texturing more than anything. well, you can find some tutors about BASIC texturing but nobody can tell you more specific information if you are already learned that and you want to learn much more from a professional like Chun Chun is. I am very thankful for your effort and time. The art is a key, not just skills with software.

    Hi,
Definitely support your goal about more complex and advanced topics, there are a lot of channels for beginners covering fundamentals of software.
Texturing is software agnostic, like you mention before and this knowledge can be applied in any program.
Thank you for another great tutorial and waiting for more advanced stuff. Cheers!

I loved your rant. I love your mindset and how you articulate what needs to be said (but isn’t) regarding the 3D tutorial culture on TH-cam. I try to learn from some of these channels and pick up on some their techniques, and I thought something was wrong with me-until you pointed out something very specific and important: A lot of these artist are great artist, but poor teachers so regardless if they have an audience of intermediates or novices, they skip articulating crucial steps in explaining their design process as to the “why’s” and “how’s”. It’s just click fast, explain a bit, click faster, then Viola! look at what I made. It’s a showcase display. (which isn’t wrong) But In reality, a lot of them aren’t truly trying to teach anything-they’re trying to land a job. Keep pushing sister, you’re an awesome artist and have the perfect mindset to teach a mature, creative and intuitive audience. Instant Sub.🙏

I don't know which industry you are in, but in the game industry focus on tech and software isn't just a "beginner" mistake. Its rampant. If that is your target audience, I suggest you focus on design philosophy and big picture application. Art isn't about making pretty pictures or arbitrarily "cool" things, its about expressing something. Most artists, especially in the game industry, make design decisions "because its cool" without thinking beyond that and asking why theyre doing what theyre doing.

I am in visual effects actually. I want to create an art focused channel using 3D software. I think just to focus on learning art fundamentals more and less on the software is the first challenge, be able to use art and express something deeper is next level. I myself is a growing artist and learning how to do that.

Ya, if something doesn't need to move, it's not a bad options if you manage to capture the shape and bake all the details. For me it's just faster when I produce videos.

when you start a render with iray, going down the tab, you will see a section with aerpture, and focus distance, adjust both to get depth of field.
