    Mark Aguirre in Dallas was a scoring machine at 6'6" and not a leaper. Those Mavs teams they built through the draft, everyone could score. That 1988 team. Wow

    Aguirre could've played for Mexico vs the Dream Team (since he's part mexican), and his name isn't pronounced "A-guay-yehr", it's a spanish surname name it's AGUIRRE (a-gi-rey). His name's been mispronounced for a long time in his playing days i bet lol

    I'm New Yorker and diehard NY Knicks fan. Mark Aguirre is a good comparison, but Melo's game is more like Bernard King's. Both players made their living and earned fame in mid-post (mid-range assassins/scoring machines).
    It's time for Melo to come home and team up with his two buddies (Durant/Kyrie) who helped him win third gold medal in 2016. Win a chip and then retire NY Knick subsequent year.
    I'm tired of watching him get DISRESPECTED by Lakers coaching staff and stat padding, ball hogs Lebron/Westbrick. How does Melo stay friends with narcissist (Bron). Bron took early flight home. What leader does this? SMH!
    Anyway, In the last two games, Melo (the 9th all time leading scorer in NBA) only attempted 4 and 7 shots respectively. In the game against Philly without Lebron, he scored 20 pts (8 of 15). Whose fault is it for not running offense through him? He can still get you buckets. The blame has to go to coach/point guard. Without Lebron/Davis, Melo should be #1 option, not Westbrick.
    In 2018, Westbrick went 18 of 43 in final game in playoffs against Utah Jazz. George Paul CHOKED in series. Ingles ate PG13's lunch and got in his head. OKC lost series and everyone blamed Melo.
    You can't take 43 shots and call yourself team player/point guard. It's selfishness and lack of trust.
    I hope I'm wrong, but Westbrick and Harden will NEVER win championship as the lead guard...TOO BALL DOMINANT, STUBBORN, AND SELFISH.

      I'd say Melo was more like a somewhat less athletic Dominique. Both ball dominant, great ISO scorers, but they just weren't going to win that much with that style of play.
      Each scored like hell, but neither got their mates involved much and it led to teammates standing around a lot.

    • @Amick44
      @Amick44 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think you're wrong. Neither will win with that style of play. They're only hope is going to some team where they are less of a factor.

      5 of the 7 years idk about that Mabye 2 or 3 also what do you consider help amare was only good for 2 seasons after that he was pretty much a way worse AD would score like 15 ppg and would just barely play 40 games in the season. Melos best teammate was a 6th man j.r Smith ,and after that was chandler and what like 8th man j Kidd….Shump was a baby, etc. they was not a team that should have been competing with the big 3 heat and Celtics but somehow they was 2nd seed and was able to knock out the Celtics .

    • @NACentDSTM
      @NACentDSTM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      after that melo got injured and needed surgery and the front office didn’t do shit to make the team better in fact they just ruined the chemistry by trading all the decent players away and put all their hopes in a foreign rookie porzingus. melo was still recovering from surgery and was suffering from tendinitis so he lost a lot of athleticism and his scoring clearly dropped but he was passing more and playing a more all around game. Besides porzingus that was a terrible team and there was no way in hell they was making the playoffs.then they got a post surgery drose to try to spice something up and he clearly looked better than the previous years but at that point drose was a shell of his former self. Saying he had help when he had to compete with healthy superteams is one of the dumbest things I’ve heard. Go back and look at those rosters again they was abysmal
