You're so cute when you get excited 😃 Thanks for the inspiration. One tip : roll the ink bottles between your hands, instead of shaking them, to avoid getting air bobbls... Squeezing the top of the dropper was genius. 💝
I love messing with my inks & my powders. I love dropping some of my powders on top of my inks & watch them burst into some gorgeousness. They do some amazing things don’t they? 🎨🖌️
love this mix of colors & experimenting. Just got my gran medium today...think ii'll try a pipette to add to a waterbrush (instead of of water), & get some inks on paper...Ty!!
Do I want to subscribe to this channel? Absolutely would I prefer to live with this lady so we could do our every day together absolutely. This is one of the coolest channels. I love this intuitive artwork that you do. It’s been so helpful for me to do expressive work that I was never able to get out my emotions with my more traditional style. Even know I do you do whimsical florals I know I don’t do realistic work. This just helps so much to get stuff out. Thank you for teaching me a different way.
My favorite “orange” acrylic ink is Liquitex transparent burnt sienna. I also have the Daler Rowney Flame Orange, but it’s much more opaque. If you use the two together, you can get some very pretty orange hues. 🧡
I use à pipette with granulating medium too and it's amazing! I’ve never used it with acrylic… I have an art day tomorrow of this and I’m gonna hafta play!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiments with us! I am watching lots of videos on WN granulating medium and reading informative comments. Someone said salt water does the same thing. Makes sense, since we use different salts on wet washes for similar effects. They said they used salt water as their water to dip the brush in to grab paints. I am guessing they put paints on a pallette with a different brushbor used tube paints on a pallette to avoid contamination of pan paints. Like you yse separate brushes fir masking fluid or other mediums.
Hi - I'm from the UK and use granulation fluid regularly. I paint on mountboard which is ideal for my technique. I drop ink onto the board and then with a water sray diperse it across the board. Having done this I drop the granulation into the paint with a pipette - i then encourage how I want the colours to flow with a cold hairdryer and with continued use of the spray. The board by now is dsripping wet and I mop up around the edges and let it dry naturally. I sometimes also use alcohol.
Oh wow!! Loved these colors and that granulation medium is so cool! Putting that on my to get list!! Thanks Denise for another fabulous beautiful video! Susan in Az ❤️🏜️
I was expecting more from the granulation medium, perhaps the ink is heavier than watercolor & that’s why it wasn’t more? I have not ever used it so I could be off on my expectation. I LOVE your excitement!!💗💗💗
It was a little more subtle in the ink than with the watercolor. It could have been the heavier ink just made it more subtle. It could have been user too 😂😂😂… definitely going to do more experimenting! 😊
Oh my gosh this was fun to watch! You were enjoying yourself so much and I loved it! I loved all of the really cool effects you were getting! They turned out awesome! Creating = Joy! 😊
If I’m not mistaken Denise, you are a “green/blue girl.” As you probably know, Daniel Smith’s Lunar Blue is a fabulous granulating color and added to a great granulating green like Undersea Green or Green Apatite Genuine, you’ll get amazing effects with the W&N Granulation Medium when you add either FW Acrylic Ink in Indigo or their Olive Green. These combos of colors would be perfect for your mark making and stencils in lighter colors and especially your fave Kuretake Gold Paste. If you try this out, be sure to share! 💚💙
I just tried the granulation medium with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors and it worked beautifully. I applied it a bit differently. I painted the watercolor onto the paper then used my fan brush and dipped it into the medium then flicked the handle causing speckles of the medium everywhere and then it all bloomed beautifully. I wish there was a way to post it for you.
@@2lilowlsstudio I'll keep an eye out for future experiments! I don't have that granulation medium myself or I would've jumped on doing it as soon as the thought occurred lol
That was so much fun 🎉 I love your joyfullness ❤ It was cool to see this video, after watching your studio tour video! I will give this medium a try! What is the difference between Acrylic Inks and Water Color Inks ?
It is fun to know what it looks like all around and just not the table isn’t it? I love seeing studios. 🥰 biggest difference to me in the inks is watercolor ink is still reactive when dry - so can still be changed when something wet is used on top or water is added. Acrylic ink is not reactive - so you could layer it without it changing once dried. 😊
Love the colour combo and the design, what colour pink was that you used? Also been looking for pastel colours but found you can mix your colours with white acrylic to make lighter colour which was a great revelation. Thank you so much for your fab tutorials x

A friend of mine and I were joking that we thought it was salt water too 😁

Explain your alcohol process please… the above tip is interesting!
The alcohol is used in the same way as the granulation fluid - dropped into the wet ink with a pipette - hope this helps.@@swl9270
Loved this!
Thank you! 🥰
Beautiful colours ❤xxx
Thank you! 😊

I see a man’s face, with longish hair, in the painting on the right…so cool….groovy man!
Oh! Fun! That is cool 😊
I see a face, too. Love both pieces

Ohhh hear me out - what if granulation medium + charcoal 🤔😱 I bet you that’d do some wicked awesome stuff
OOOhhh!!!! We might have to give that a go!! You know I love experimenting!! 😊

Thank you for sharing this! Have you tried using the granulations medium and acrylic ink on canvas?
So glad you liked it! I don't usually use canvas - so I have not played with it on canvas. ☺️
