Video was short and helpful 👍 I know there's a gasket between the BPV and Exhaust Pipe, my question is was there a gasket between the BPV and Turbocharger? I didn't see one when i pulled it, just rust and possibly old red silicone. The BPV --> Turbo has a circular pin at the top, so im guessing if it did have a gasket it'd have a tiny hole or notch? 🤔
Hello. The 7th nozzle-dosing is only activating on regenaration to increase the exhaust temperatures ? Because I have an issue with regeneration and the exhaust temperatures is not going above 200oC..
Technically plug and play, no reprogramming unless ECM needs an update. Otherwise, sometimes you can simply clear codes or you may need to drive truck for a while, depending on derate code, if you have an active code.
@@antonioorozco4896 I’m showing BPV and EGR calibration codes. Check engine lights come on and truck derates 25%. Any ideas on why? Both, the EGR and BPV are brand new. Just replaced both of them.
I have a whistle I can't find. Don't lose any boost and can't find any exhaust leaks. It whiskers as I let off the accelerator on a hard pull. Could it possibly be a leaking bpv? Thanks in advance.
Are the coolant line that run underneath the bpv known for leaking? I have a coolant leak in this area and was wondering before I replace. Thanks in advance!
@@jimmyerobinson1439 they have been know to leak. Depending on where it's leaking, you can either replace a washer ring or o'rings. The lines themselves won't leak unless the rubbed against something.
I call BS on this post. Host says "We're going to change the BPV...Alright, it's gonna be fun". The the next shot is, "Alright, we got the BPV off already". Poster shows coolant drained, no explanation for anything.

What is the purpose of the bpv Does it have anything to do with power and the turbo?
Great video 👍🏽. Does a bad bpv effect the jake brake performance ?
How much is it to have this taken care of. I'm driving one like this currently. It's. So underpowered when hauling a load
What is the price for thi piece
Just wondering, if there’s an issue just with that thread, wouldn’t it be cheaper for owner to run a bit bigger thread and save at least 2k?
I definitely wouldn't recommend it, because you'd also have to drill through the 7th injector to make the whole bigger.

Sounds like DPF and DOC may be plugged. May need to monitor temps and diag accordingly.
Is that Dwight I hear in the back ground?
@ Antonio Orozco does the BPV require programming or is it plug and play?

I want to start working on the big trucks, maybe even heavy equipment tio
Do it, man. I prefer HD trucks over automotive work.
Started about a year ago. Best decision I’ve ever made.
@@antonioorozco4896 why.?
@@sandhusaab3077 a lot more space to work with. Better pay. Not everyone wants to work on diesels.
Were you getting any squealing noise from the BPV before you replaced it?
I'm not too sure of the customer was hearing squealing. I just drove it in and replaced it.
When I pull hard I heard a squealing also when engine break is engaged. Did you had same issue? Did you solve it?
@Oscar Islas i have similar issue. Ive also witnessed smoke come from that area.
I have same squealing noise when using Jake's and they come on hard and weak like theyrs pulsating
Huge PITA when you have to update all the coolant lines with this job.

When everything else is good and it won't start fuel dosing in a regen due to lack of temperature, do the BPV

Pretty straight forward. The BPV was removed and replaced.
