Hey bud, paccar tech here. Don’t let those guys just replace that oil pan bolt. Once a gasket starts leaking, it aint gonna stop, as you experienced with that coolant line. Gotta drop the pan and replace the oil pan gasket and torque those suckers down. Don’t replace that whole coolant line either, jut a $2 o-ring leaking. (Without labor $$) all this is just common stuff on any engine. If these are the worst problems you’ve had with a new engine consider yourself in good standing

but what year was that? 19-20? they have a 7year 750k warranty because of known issues.. if you got a new engine at 600k miles then you got a new engine for free
This question is for a paccar tech I’m currently on the side of the road with multiple codes. This thing has been nothing but a nightmare with adaptive cruise predictive cruise and transmission codes. Replaced the shifter and now this truck won’t hard reset J1939/886-09/1481-09/&19 any thoughts?

@@mgp-bct7723what’s the price for a rebuild on the PACCAR
robstratton based on your experience and knowledge what is better Cummins or paccar engine. ??
The repair costs on my MX13 2016 T680 have gotten beyond my control. This thing is an absolute money pit.
Alright thanks for sharing Sir I appreciate it!
Just sold my Pete with mx13. I will never go back to Paccar creations. It was 4 years of endless "adventure"
8 years of hell and counting
I hear you. I’m no longer buying paccar either I’m going with KW’s T680’s with Cummins. The prices for paccar parts is just too ridiculous.
@@shanra4764 yep
Hey there. For issues with EGR valve you can use EGR Emulator for Paccar. Its plug and play, easy to use and can solve most EGR Problems.
Laughs in caterpillar 3406e.
Yep
Best material for oil pans is good old stamped steel.
Yep
Paccar=The New MaxxForce 😂😂
What kind of leak goes through the a/c vents and gives the cab smell gives my clothes a foul smell please help
You need that pass cars tune
How much weight on average are you pulling? For me it’s 96k and i feel that’s sucking my mpg down to 4.6
Probably average 60k
Sir, read your instruction manual it states after every oil change the oil plug needs to be replaced. Everytime.
The oil pan bolts come out not oil drain plug
@@tips4truckers252 Bolts cant come out unless somebody screwed them out.
You are lucky the cam didn't go flat or break.
Hi I have same engine with 150k miles there is soot around EGR cooler is it serious should I change EGR cooler gaskets
A little soot on the actuator is normal. I wouldn't worry about it with only 150k unless you get a differential pressure code
Thanks for the advice

Used truck prices are through the roof but if you can get a good interest rate is what I would be wondering about

@mgp-bct7723 at some point you have to say not all that was bad luck fr.
Just replace the o-ring. No need to replace the line.
Thanks that's what the shop did

490k now
EPA 17??

Paccar engines are absolute trash. Coming from a Paccar tech.
Coming from a guy who has been forced to drive them for 1.3 million miles I can agree
Blegghh paccar is Junk, so many issues with so little hours and miles.
After 1.3 million miles with them I can say complete junk
