How come there are no cons for the momcozy. Everything has pros and cons. There is no such thing as a perfect product. Seems biased. Doesn’t seem like a fair review.

    • @DadLifePGH

@@ic2133 Thanks for chiming in! From this initial review that I did, the one thing that the Baby Brezza product had which was nice was an integrated waste water chamber so you can technically put it anywhere around the house vs the Momcozy that needs to be placed near a sink. That was one of the”con” if you want to categorize it that way.
The other was that the Baby Brezza’s normal cycle time was 1 min shorter than the Momcozy. These, however, were fairly minor issues.
The main points I was bringing out were the quality and usability issues which, when compared side-by-side, the Baby Brezza just had many more cons.
Again, the best way to be sure is to get both and try them out and see if you have any other cons to share! If you do and you choose to make a video, I guarantee I’ll watch it and I will comment back.

I think some of your critiques on the Brezza are a bit exaggerated, and it seems biased to have a counter for “weird” issues for the Brezza and “Smart” for Momcozy. I actually like the countdown to turning it on as a safety feature for children or just accidental button presses in general. And the symbols are easy to understand after just 1 quick glance at the manual. Not sure when it became taboo to force a customer to read the instruction manual to fully understand their purchase.
Having said that, I have been using the Brezza for a couple of weeks now and decided to buy the Momcozy a try based on your video since you do make some good points. I don’t have any real issues with the Brezza except that it’s a little difficult to stack my items. It feels like I’m playing jenga. Hoping the Momcozy is a bit easier in that regard.
Also I’m not sure you HAVE to use the short and long tube for the Brezza? I washed my 8oz Avent with the short tube fine and I assume I could wash my smaller 4oz with the longer tubes also.
Looking forward to giving the Momcozy a try though. The separate waste container is a very big con but maybe I can make it work

@@Ashhong1 I really appreciate the time you took to respond and I’m truly looking forward to your thoughts around the Momcozy product since you will have tried both out!
The “weird” vs “smart” framing is primarily from a design and engineering perspective - will be interested to see what you think.
Re: short and long tubes - I was following the recommendations from Baby Brezza in terms of what they claim gives the best results andI agree with you that you *could* probably get away with just using the long stem for everything - but then it begs the question why Baby Brezza included both sizes? 🤔😅
My best guess is that from their product testing, they concluded that the shorter stem gives better results for shorter bottles so they needed to design it with multiple stems.
      Thanks again for your thoughts!

@@DadLifePGH hey just thought I’d come back with my experience and to see what you thought
Overall I really do like the Momcozy. It’s way easier to fit a lot more items due to it being encased by the unit itself instead of fully open like the Brezza. It seems to clean about the same (leaves a thin chalky film on my items similar to the Brezza, I think it’s my hard water)
I hate not having a waste bucket and really think they should find a way to add one in the next revision. Just make it a bit longer like the Brezza. It’s a huge convenience that is missing. I ended up buying a 3Q container and routing the hose into it and that works ok.
The screen and functions ended up being a bit more confusing if I’m being honest, despite the clear buttons. Brezza allows you to select each permutation of wash, steam, dry and updates the time it’ll take. Momcozy doesn’t show the total time, and I can’t even select dry so I guess that is just automatic? I wish I could run just a wash cycle, open it up, add items, and sterilize, but if I select just wash, it will drain the entire water bucket and I need to refill. And then the sterilize feature drains another full bucket, which seems wasteful. Curious to hear if you know what I mean. It seems a bit wasteful on water and makes the machine a bit more restrictive
Oh one more thing, the min and max lines on the fill container are ridiculously close, and so close to the top that I have to tip toe to the machine and pray it doesn’t spill. The lid also seems to be warping or something as I see gaps after a few uses. Again, I really wish they would look at the Brezza for how they designed the containers.

@@Ashhong1 that is awesome feedback and I truly appreciate you taking the time to share these insights!
Yes, 💯 on pretty much everything that you mentioned. I haven’t experienced the chalky residue yet on my end but it’s definitely a concern for people living in areas with “harder” water.
I think since we settled on the Momcozy unit, we got used to not having the waste water tank but I can definitely understand that if you started with a waste water tank, then that would be something you’d grow to be accustomed to.
Now that you bring it up, yes - the MC unit doesn’t show the full time. I think we usually just leave it after we set it to run because we have other things to take care of and haven’t noticed it. I will definitely share this feedback with MC and see if they can address your use case where you’d want to wash it, open it up, and sterilize in their next version. Our unit is almost always very full with parts so we haven’t had this need, but I certainly see how this could be useful if the unit wasn’t fully loaded up!
As for the warping issue, I’ve noticed it ever so slightly on the top rim a bit but it hasn’t caused any sealing issues for me yet. Has it degraded the performance of the container for you?
And yes - the min/max lines are definitely pretty close. I’ve overshot it a few times and it doesn’t seem to negatively impact anything so it’s probably not a huge concern - at least for me.
I really love all your feedback, so thank you!🙏🏻

I agree with the assessment about the Brezza unit (and other brezza products for that matter). It seems like they spend more time engineering the unit to be unrepairable, instead making a solid product.

I’ll buy the mamacozy when they have a water waste chamber. It seems like a food product except you need a hose to be next to the sink. What if you’re prepping raw food? It’s taking up prepping space and can be contaminated with stuff in the sink then I have to wash that tube too.

@@jadormycc8819 yes, you might want to wait if this is your main concern! Depending on your setup, it may take up prep space. We put ours on the opposite side of the sink from our prep space so there isn’t a chance of cross contamination while we’re prepping food, but that’s just our situation.
As for the tube, while it’s in the sink, it’s primarily for waste water to flow out of the tube and into the sink. There is no way for any contamination from the sink to flow back through the tube aim to the unit so I haven’t seen the need to wash the tube, but that’s certainly up to you!

@@ohMissLewis Great point! I haven’t experienced any limescale buildup yet on our machine since I’m using purified water straight from the tap as we have a filtration system under our kitchen sink. I definitely agree that using distilled water is painful!
I reached out to Momcozy to get their thoughts on this, and they said that tapwater can be used and depending on the hardness of the water in your area you may get limescale buildup over time. But you can also use filtered water (i.e if you have a fridge that has a built-in filter) or reverse osmosis water.
They also said that there is no risk to the machine from the limescale and you don’t need to take apart the entire machine as you mentioned. There are a few ways to remove the limescale safely.
      1. You can remove all of the parts and wash them in the sink and then reattach everything.
      2. It is suggested that typically using citric acid or white vinegar are two other ways to remove the limescale. Their team is also currently developing a Momcozy-branded limescale remover.
      3. To use white vinegar for descaling, you can add 5-10ml of vinegar directly to the inner chamber during the wash cycle. Alternatively, you can mix 50ml of vinegar with 100ml of cold water and pour it into the water tank to run a cleaning cycle.
If you still have your machine, maybe you can give us a try in case that helps? I believe most, if not all, baby bottle washers on the market recommend using distilled water or reverse osmosis water, so this issue will likely occur with any product you use. This descaling process will be helpful for anything that you end up using!

BABY BREZZA ALL THE WAY! You can literally keep the baby Brezza next to the bed or where you spend most of the time with the baby. Dump and fill the water reservoirs in the closest bathroom (or fill with bottled/distilled if you have a newborn) whenever you get a chance instead of having to go to the kitchen every time. That water hose and having to be tied to a sink is a non starter for me, at that point there’s literally no reason not to just use your regular dishwasher to wash them. The water reservoir doesn’t smell or anything, even when I forget to dump it for a few days. Couldn’t live without my baby Brezza!
