Thank you again for another great video! Hope you’re feeling better by now. I started getting p073f after replacing clutch and forks and new tcm from ford. Car shifts great with all gears for a few weeks then has trouble finding first gear, then back to all good. Feel like it’s mechanically good, but will check the hot swap of actuator A as you suggest. Odd thing is car lunges in park after starting likes it’s trying to engage first gear. Only rolls an inch or two forward then rocks back and forth.
I'm in the same situation with code p073e after replacing clutch corks actuators with a luk kit. My only difference is I was able to get reverse again for about 30 seconds then lost it after sit for 10-15 minutes. I'm also lean towards the TCM I do hear it ratcheting when going forward when the engines warm up.
Hi Ben thanks for posting this video, I’m definitely going to try all your suggestions. I now for sure I installed the kit correctly. I triple checked everything as I was fallowing your videos. I’m definitely going to turn both forks again. And then try that rpm under live feed using forscan.. I’ll try and get to it this weekend.. thanks again Ben your a blessing my dude!!!
Update ::: I first tried live feed with forscan on both speed sensors like you said . I was getting 0’s on both sensors. I went forward to verify they were working and the rom was climbing as I moved. I then tried turning the forks with special ford tool 3000 are they worked flawlessly, so I then swapped actuators and took it for a drive .. To my surprise I was getting gears again. But for 1 to 2 was a little bumpy. 3and 4 were smoother. Something weird, sport mode is still on and off.. So then I tried a clutch relearn manual mode. Like your video. And I’m able to still get gears and reverse the reverse needs lots of gas to get moving It did pop out of reverse one time. And gave me a different code PO74A So to me changing the actuators was what made the biggest difference, it gave me more gears. After driving it around the block a few times and parked it back in the garage I did smell some clutch.. I’m going to remove TCM next to see about those seals..
Hey Ben, thank you for all those Ford Focus transmission videos, im glad I found your channel. I recently changed both of my actuators for used ones after losing Reverse and Sport mode, it lasted 7700km and now I got P07A3. Car jerks changing gears, reverse is there still. If I get new actuators from ford and do it over again will that help?
Hi, with that code being present, I would do a clutch fork test on the upper clutch. I've got a video called clutch fork test & code diagnosis which will help th-cam.com/video/AY_XdTFaTOQ/w-d-xo.html
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles I failed the test, I could only spin it about 3 times, and it would easily go clockwise, I need to take down the transmission and do luk clutch kit?
Hello, I am writing from Turkey. I have a fiesta 1.6 powershift vehicle. After 100 thousand km, the engine malfunction light came on and the vehicle does not move in reverse gear. It also skips the other gears like 1,3,5 and does not use 2.4.6. It returns to normal after stopping the vehicle and not using it for 1 or 2 days. What is your suggestion? Is the problem in comprehension or in the tcm ? The services here suggest changing all of them, it costs too much, I'm waiting for your help.
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles I connected the vehicle to obd and it resolved p0700, intermittent, no symptoms, transmission control system failure, what you think tcm or clutch set?
Hello Ben my problem for my 2014 ford focus transmission indicator light saying need service plus indicating overheating after this happened transmission started slipping and want go in reverse but after cool down transmission runs fine and this after both actuators replaced and Tom replaced also having no codes I need advise please
Hi, since theres a transmission service required and overheat alert, there must be a code present. Thats needed to diagnose it. You can try scanning with forscan

@@oscarthomas9863 with a new OEM tcm, the issue is likely a clutch and / or clutch fork failure. You can try replacing the actuators first, though. Or doing a fork test. I've got videos for all that

It not showing NOT IN PARK and it good drive fine on highway over 300 miles no plm
Hi, if you haven't bought another transmission yet, I wouldn't. Your current one just needs a clutch job. Your 'new' transmission will likely need a clutch job, too. And, if the transmission fluid in yours doesn't have a lot of sparkle in it, the fluid may not have damaged the internals.

Would you get these codes if you forgot to remove the shipping clips on the new clutch forks?
Hi! Those clips usually hold them in the released position, however if the actuator broke free of the clip, and it got jammed up, then possibly!

in the US market, no its a different transmission
